The "astronaut" is "Elena Serova" ("Елена Серова") and she shows us a book she purportedly reads while on the alleged "ISS".


I've never seen any other "astronaut" show a book (with the possible exception of "Chris Hadfield" though from memory it was not quite a book).


Anyway! The book's title is interesting: "The Seven Great Secrets of the Cosmos" [or the "Seven Wonders/Mysteries of the Cosmos"] ("Семь великих тайн космоса") by a guy who called himself "Nicholas Roerich" otherwise known as "Nikolay Konstantinovich Rerikh" ("Николай Константинович Рёрих") [an interesting character in his own right].


I don't think there is an English translation of the book [or any of his writings] so I might have a go at translating bits and pieces if I can find the time. I also don't think there's any/much written about him in English [in general] but as I say - he's an interesting character.


I found it interesting that of all possible books "Elena Serova" would happen to show her audience *that* old one.
