Osprey and Yang: Introduction of the Eisner Saga

[SEPT WK4 2021]

It's been many months since the Geonyte Incident as Ylisstol have bounced back to it's glory and then some. Many of the rookie trainers have decided to make their move to the next rank of Rank D, with some of them like the Aegis Sisters doing so in Jun and winning their next ranks. Advancement Cups work in a 6-monster round robin and in the higher ranks, 8 round robins where the top 2 of each tourney advance to the next rank. Multiple tourneys are held in cities with each rank dedicated to a day, as since it is Monday, this means that all Rank E trainers will fight in the Advancement Cups. Among the winners as of now included Edelgard and her WIlhelm in the snowy mountains of Gra, Rhiannon and Alkuma in the sunny beaches of Talys, Ruby in industrial city of Aurelis with her Flora. and Blake and Akira in the rural area of Pyrathi. And then, there's the princess, Lucina, who with her Orion, have hailed victorious with a clean sweep in the capital of Ylisse, Ylisstol.

As for the twins, they decided to go to separate tourneys(After their mom told them to go to different ones to get more money) with Yang heading to Thabes in the south by borrowing one of Mom's cars and Osprey using their own car to go up north to Grust. As both tourneys were happening at the same time, similar things was happening...Yang and Osprey would register and check in for the tourney, they would head to the dug outs, and after about some time of introduction...they would simply destroy everyone before them no issues at all. Soon enough, both Branwens were announced as the winners of their respective cup and went home to celebrate by playing music.

But let's go somewhere else...to a different continent even. Let us go to...Nohr.

Nohr is the origin for all nations who's history is rich with lore and culture. That culture being that of patriotism that would make any other nation envious of how the Nohrians put Nohr above all, some of them above their own families. The landscape was almost barren of all grass and trees, making fruits and vegetables such a luxury that many resorted to stealing them back in the day. It wasn't until one of the past rulers of Nohr dedicated parts of their reign to improve the Agriculture of the nation to an acceptable level for everyone.

Despite the improved farming, the majority of Nohr is built like a rocky wasteland with many mountains sprouting here and there. Most of the towns are built far from each other and have low populations ranging from 300 to 1900. It's the capital, Windmire, where the vast, vast majority of people reside in with a staggering amount of 700,000. More than Ylisse;s 350,000. Windmire's built in a manner of 2 rings of stone separating the outside from the lower-class portions of the city. And then within the inner circle is where the nobility and rich people live comfortably in. Part of Nohr's culture is the love for warriors and strong people, where to advance to the upper echelons of life, you have to be a very good trainer and acknowledged by either 10 nobles or either the royal family themselves.

Some of the most esteemed trainers included Jeralt Eisner, Possibly the world's best defensive trainer with records of winning many, many tourneys in his life. Including 2 of the 5 Nohrian Great Tourneys. Harold Heldentum, a man who, while he have unlucky moments outside of the arena, is one of the best Golem trainers and an aspiring figure to the kids. Catherine Charon, leader of the Charon House and esteemed master of Hares, Tigers, and other monsters one would classified as a Glass Cannon who swore fealty to the royal family. And then there's of course the ruling king of Nohr himself, Eltshan Nordion, The Dark King himself who have the skill and power to train the mighty Jokers themselves with the neaer-perfect record to boast...his only loss against Chrom. Meanwhile, the next generation isn't too far behind them lead by Eltshan's son, Ares who have been ruling Rank E and gradulated to Rank D with his Antlan, Domnall.

Within the castle of Nordion, we see the King himself sipping some wine while reading one of his books by the fire place. By his side stands his loyal Joker, Marcas, clutching his scythe. The doors open up and one of his servants come in and kneel behind him as Eltshan sits in a lounge chair facing away from him.

"...The results for the Advancement Cups Rank E today?" A suave voice speaks from the king's lips as he swirls his wine in his glass after putting his book down. "My lord, as expected your son aced his with no losses and all KOs." "As expected...tell me more about the other winners. He knew his son would win with no issues, so he wasn't too excited despite feeling a bit proud of his boy. "Others included Percy, son of Harold who miraculously was able to clutch out all five of his wins somehow....Soleil Lancarre, the daughter of Olivia and Stahl Lancarre. With her Blue Hare, Tobias, she is proving to be a decent trainer despite being from two parents who have no records of training monsters with 3 recorded KOs in her cup."

"I am impressed that someone like her is proving to be a credible warrior despite her weak parents...as for Harold's son, that too is to be expected..Any more?"
The Servant clears his throat as he continues, kneeling all the while. "And lastly...there's the Eisner Twins who both advanced."

Eltshan stops swirling his wine and sighs. "...And how did they win?" Bracing himself for the news as the servant speaks up. "Bereto's Sabnock netted 5 KOs and 2 Injuries, nothing major tho." "Bereto isn't as bad as his sister, damnit!" He thumps his fist on his arm rest as his Joker rest a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. He rubs his forehead and continues to speak with an agitated tone. "And...Byleth? How did she do?"

"...." The Servant hesitates for a moment, not sure if he should be the one to tell his king. "Speak, damnit!!" Under the shouting of his lord, The servant begins to speak. "...By-Byleth's Orobas got 5 KOs...4 injuries..."  Eltshan stands up in his black and purple regal clothing with a cape as he look down at his servant with a steely gaze.. "..And the last one?"

"...Died in the arena from a Wild Upper."
Eltshan keep on looking at the servant who's trembling before him. "...I see..have the trainer been compensated?" "Yes, he have been given a total of 5K to rebuild his career and will not have to pay for the funeral."

"Which is coming out of MY pocket..." The king muttered as he turn away. "You're dismissed for the day..." The servant hastily run out as the King stand still before shouting as he throws his book on the ground. "....Damnit...on the one hand, the power of those twins are on par with my own son. They make great rivals for him...on the other hand, they are clearly not right in the mind. Byleth most of all.."

He rubs his forehead as he walk out of the study room with Marcas floating behind him. "And to make things more hectic, we have the Meet with Ylisse happening two months from now, no doubt the twins will enter and Byleth will win. I just fear she won't kill anyone on her path there."

The Eisner Twins have been a thorn in his side from the moment they were sent to school. They were completely hard to deal with for the teachers and staff. Bereto would almost never speak to anyone and became a loner beside his sister for companionship. Speaking of...Byleth have shown signs of being a sociopath from a young age, often lying on her classmates even tho some of them don't work. Not even bothering to hide her true personality of being an evil seductress who lust for power behind some facade. It pains him to admit that they were also skilled in monster training with stellar records such as no losses(not that they beaten Ares, they just haven't taken part in any of his tourneys) and a staggering amount of KOs on injured monsters with even some of them dying.

Were it in his power, Eltshan would had removed their licenses and thrown them to jail. But there lies in the problem...Due to the Eisners being so good in the ring, they were beloved by the public. It not only didn't helped that most of their gen and the older gen lusted after them. But considering who their mom is and who's house she belong to being the Nabatean House...

"If Sitri don't ask for my head on a pike, then surely her somehow youthful looking mom, Rhea would..." Eltshan shudders. Always feeling weird around the Nabateans who seem to hold the secrets to never aging as despite being human, they just don't age like regular people do. Rhea in particular looks like to be in her 30's and yet is 60 something...
"At least their father is normal.." Indeed, Jeralt was the pinnacle of all Nohrians. Strong, honorable, wise, stoic, but not stoic as to turn away people. It was a sheer mystery wrapped in a riddle as to how he and Sitri not only got married, but had kids to turn out like the twins. Of course, Eltshan and a few other males believed that it was merely a Shotgun wedding on Jeralt's chagrin

"Forget about the Eisners..." He step into the main throne room where he sees some of his other servants and a few nobles wishing to speak to him for favors.. "(I need to deal with tonight's matters and focus on the Meet with Ylisse...Chrom, my good friend...I shall defeat you as usual and my Nohrians shall once again reign supreme."
Back in Ylisse, as the moon shines over the country, we see Raven looking out of her mansion on the balcony outside of her room looking up at said moon with her arms crossed and a scowl. As her Hanzo sleeps in his shed outside, she think back on today's results where her kids have advanced to Rank D. She's proud of them for sure, but from the newspaper in her hand that shows all advancements in the world...she is a bit worried that the Eisner twins have advanced.

Now, it was not the Eisners themselves that made her worried, but rather the other family that the twins hailed from and who are the Branwen's natural enemies...
"...Nabatean shits..." She growls. "I hope my kids can handle whatever shit comes to them...knowing our luck, we will come across them at the meet."

She sighs and walk back to her room to retire for the night.
