  1. QUICK NOTE ON CLOTHES:
  2. While the 'bizarre-o-meter' is in the form, if someone wants to done down or even tone up the outfit weirdness in the anchor world they can just lemme know. Y'all can also DM me if you want to discuss the outfit design in general.
  3.
  4. KARMA:
  5.
  6. This is going to be a big thing in the arc. Both the team as a whole and each character individually will have karma which carries over from run to run and from event to event. This is done to prevent people from just killing willy-nilly and ruining the entire concept like that, on top of making the final mission that much more difficult on themselves.
  7.
  8. Karma is gained and lost depending on actions. Everyone starts at 0 karma, and it goes up to a 100 but goes down /infinitely/. Yeah, there's a hole you can fall in.
  9.
  10. While not a full list, here are some actions to get an idea for how much certain actions might harm or improve karma (Note that each important NPC has their own karma value. Karma values on their sheets are listed in format 'K for saving/K for sparing/K for letting die/K for killing'.)
  11.
  12. (NOTE: These values aren't exactly set in stone. Sometimes the karma value will be different, sometimes - for example, if saving a civie is impossible to begin with - no karma change will happen.)
  13. Saving a civilian +10 karma
  14. Defeating an enemy threatening someone +5 karma
  15. Sparing a civilian +1 karma
  16. Threatening a civilian -1 Karma
  17. Attacking a neutral civilian/Letting one die -5 karma
  18. Attacking a friendly civilian/Letting one die -10 karma
  19. Killing a neutral civilian -20 karma
  20. Killing a friendly civilian - 30 karma
  21.
  22. Karma determines, for the most part, three things - DC on any sort of mental or perception check including DC on summoning your anchor, luck and NPC trust.
  23.
  24. For each 25 in either way, the DC either goes up or down by 1. Karma of negative 50, for example, will result in a +2 to the DC. A karma of 50 would respectively lower the DC by 2.
  25.
  26. Luck will determine how bad/good crits/critfails/aces/acefails are. A higher karma means they'll generally be better, a lower karma means they'll be worse. At -25 karma you no longer get benefits from aces, at +25 you no longer get any additional harm from acefails.
  27.
  28. Most NPCs will be much less likely to trust you if you're a mass murderer, for whatever reason. Defending against charisma rolls becomes easier for them.
  29.
  30. ANCHORS:
  31.
  32. PCs heading into Alexandria will receive an anchor and outfit based on responses to a survey about the character
  33. (https://forms.gle/wRHXxsv3nzzzb5g79).
  34.
  35. Anchors can be summoned in three ways, each with a different level of difficulty.
  36.
  37. 1) An anchor may be summoned purely with thought. Base DC for this is an INT roll of 10 (Any INT skill can be used), making it damn difficult and almost impossible without a spec. It's the hardest way to summon an Anchor, though it can be made easier through training and peace of mind (See KARMA).
  38. 2) Calling it out with it's name. The anchor's name is innately known to the wielder, and calling its name can often help bring them out if only as a sort of instinct. The base DC for this is 5, making it much more plausible than option 1.
  39. 3) POSING. Yes, many anchor users have adopted a pose they closely relate to their anchor, basically training themselves to summon their anchor when certain physical conditions are met. No DC, but impossible if physically restricted.
  40.
