Uri - Cadet Tournament

Within this tournament, it was a battle of cadet against cadet, so many were equally matched... However, Uri did not care for the tournament at first, but since he knew the day would come for him to defend the nation of Osrona, he decided that it would be a great time to test and develop his abilities. So, upon entering, there was a collection of names. He first battled Erehn where a slight burst of his new flames were shown to the crowd upon landing the finishing blow for victory... Those same flames came again once he won a round against his sister Faira, however... He would not see victory all the way through, his tactics could only take him so far and so, upon defeat. After he battled his sister a flaming sword wielder, opposite of what Uri could be, he sought comfort and pride within the flames and the cosmos, as the Golden flames of the Phoenix, was not truly meant for fighting, but the healing of its people. To defend, never to harm less the circumstances called for it.


[17:55] The young medic tried to observe and hear what was really going on despite all of the noise. And in this red room, it felt as if they were going to be there for quite some time. Maybe it will permit him with the time to catch up on things, SO he'd open up his journal, jotting down his medical notes as a now qualified medic as well as some notes for the stars while he was here. For he struggled but persistently worked towards the subject.

[17:55] He waited in silence for a few moments for any stragglers to gather. Eventually, he'd clear his throat to speak.

"Welcome Cadets, and for many of you, congratulations on a year's passing. It's been trying times, in many ways, yet here you all are." He spoke that last bit with a masked smile.

"Now, I'll give a brief update as to the purpose of this mandatory session." He sighed for a moment, inhaling before continuing.

"We are at times of potential war. I'm here to be sure you're all adequately prepared, moving forward. naturally your oaths will bring you to the front line. As the Radiant Valero lux Montclaire had said, we are all that stands between those who fight for death and those who protect life. As spoken in our oaths, we will march forward with a vigor, even if that would be to our deaths."

He dipped his chin once more as he folded arms behind his back.

"Now. Let's make this interesting. I'm looking to see which of you has the most potential in combat, and so I'll be holding a small tournament here, the prize being glory, of course good fun as well. Speak now if you do or don't wish to participate. Of course failing to participate is.. well, surrender. It will be seen as weakness in general. Now."

With a wave of his hand.

"Speak your positions."

[17:58] August cos Solenne says, "If you aren't a Cadet, this isn't mandatory nor did I require your presence. Feel free to participate still, if you wish."
[17:58] Erehn facepalmed and sighed for the 235720352907th time at the current pickle he was in. Fight and most likely lose thus wasting precious time to do more important things or leave and be called weak. Wait a second? Who gives a shit about any of that though?

The felinae medic raised his hand and asked a single question.
"Will this go on my record?"

[17:58] She simply had one simple yet absolute answer.

"Let's begin."

Faira would already be consumed by fire. Her facial expression void of emotion. The only thing that mattered at this point was defeated any and every person who was placed in front of her.

[17:59] August cos Solenne says, "Losing won't effect your progress towards promotion, only establish a position in a potential war to come."
[17:59] Uri would make his statement quick, for he was short on time when it came down to preparing for things like this. As he looked around, he could tell that many would say yes... And with him being a medic who was always ready to fight.

"I am a Medic, but I will spar." He saw it as being a combat medic, someone who might be needed on the field during many months in the field. He'd have to defend himself and many others.

[18:00] The Stellus was there to observe for the very same reason as one could tell he would be there to scout how well the First Light would be in the upcoming wars ahead.

"I wish you all good tidings, I hope you don't mind me watching in on your session. I know the stars will guide you all in battle and had you ever feel doubt of your purpose or the stars know that I am always here to guide you." He'd give a warm smile before retreating somewhere to watch the tournament and let August do his thing.

[18:07] Face to face with her opponent. She would look at someone she considered friend. Nothing less.

"Ignite.."

Her sword now taking on her flame enveloped by it. Faira would grin as her true flame manifested from Blazar. Were now under her given command.

[18:08] Uri Sanctum exclaims, "Do your greatest sister!"
[18:12] Inante would be more than interested, Especially having known that all eyes were on the Crowned Prince since he was taking the first spar, He was a courageous one that was for sure.

While it of course brought the Stellus absolutely no Joy to know that all these youthful faces would have to engage in bloodied thralls of war, He did his best to hide such emotions.

These were men and women who had made a pledged with not only the crown but the stars to become better warriors to defend the great nation of Osrona and, wider Esshar.

And despite what anyone would tell him, The Stellus felt it was his duty to protect them, As best he could. The choice to mobilize on their foes was not an easy one to make, And he had hoped by seeing those in the order fight he would gain more confidence in sending them off to battle.

But in reality he would never be 100% okay with it.

[18:18] This felt... Strange. Stepping in front of the Order as some Sudbury boy-- Now one of them, even, and a retainer. Idly scratching at his cheek he'd grumble to himself as a breath is drawn slowly in.

A wide grin spreads on his mug towards his opponent. "Aye, show m' what y' got yea'? Gods know I got more than a lil' spark t' m'."

Thalis gave a soft cackle at that; Electricity crackling from the all too prideful Ookami. Flexing his hands for a moment they curl into fists, rising to protect his mug in preparation to throw hands.

"Ready when y' are."

[18:22] August cos Solenne says, "Well fought. Kabal wins, next fight, Erehn and Uri."
[18:23] Inante Arl Salis whispers something.
[18:23] Alexander ras Petrakis whispers something.
[18:23] Iris Cressida whispers something.
[18:23] Titus Aquilinus says, "Put on a fair show, Brother-Medic."
[18:23] After watching Thalis fight she was excited at first.. he was growing and she felt he would become even better as time went on. He may not have won but from this day. She would consider him a rival. Her anger for the one who had beaten him however...

Would soon show... Soon.. like an inferno ready to consume an entire forest.

[18:23] Erehn exclaims, "Will do, hehe!"
[18:24] Uri Sanctum says, "Alright friend, looks like we finally get to exchange the hands huh haha."
[18:24] Faira La Enfer Sanctum says, "Uri."

[18:24] Erehn exclaims, "It's unfortunate we have to fight but look on the bright side! We're training!"
[18:24] Iris kind of looked at Alexander, wide-eyed. He was standing there the whole time.

[18:24] Uri Sanctum says, "Don't Lose."
[18:24] Uri Sanctum says, "Got it already."
[18:24] Faira smiles.

[18:24] Xyth says, "Inante? I took a moment to look up at the giant fireflies in the sky again...I want to learn a bit more of them if possible.."
[18:25] Grey Sanctum says, "Would anyone here uh, happen to have a Sinka"
[18:26] Iris stopped speaking mid-way as her own attention turned towards the fighting.

[18:26] Xyth says, "Ill take it if you dont want it"

The First round was won by Uri Sanctum, the young teen used his strategy and strength to counter the long lasting effects of time magic. But all while during this round, he would continue to strain himself, trying to forge an ancient flame, one infused with both cosmic and fire, trying to achieve the light of the Phoenix, or as he would call it. Sanctum Phoenix… Not too long after, the unarmed medic got into his fighting position once again, ready to engage in battle, for this, was round two.

“A Phoenix wings are starting to spread,” said Uri, as tiny bits of gold flickering ember shrouds his body, seconds at a time.

[18:26] Erehn says, "You're quite the entertainer, too bad the shows over with this next shot."
[18:26] Faira La Enfer Sanctum says, "Hm.."
[18:26] Uri Sanctum asks, "Time and Fire... You like to burn people slowly don't you?"
[18:26] Erehn says, "No, not at all."
[18:26] Erehn says, "I'm offended you accuse me of that"

[18:29] As her brother had claimed victory she would smile. Another victory for the Sanctum Name. Her family would rise in Osrona whether it be by Loyalty, Sacrifice, Or Power. The people of Osrona would remember the name Sanctum. This she would make sure of.

[18:29] The fight was one that challenged him greatly. Uri had to fight against the slowing spells of time as well as find a way to move himself around most of Erehn's attack.. But during this fight, Erehn and a few others might notice Uri's flame aura spark a golden hue as he focused his strength with the cosmos during a brief infusion for the final stream of fire...

Though once the spar was over.. He would make his way over to Erehn, and offer him a helping hand. "Don't you take jokes friend? Burning slowly...That's the most painful way to burn of all.." He would give Erehn the fellow medic a smile.

[18:34] The fight was going well initially, the plan was to outheal him and counter with superior speed and with every blow traded Erehn learned more and more about how Uri fought. He was someone that Erehn had to do his best to keep out of close range or else he would be slashed and immolated by his fire magic.

He seemed to be quite skilled with his fire magic and even far superior to Erehn, so he used his quick thinking to form a train of thought on the second round and lost it immediately after hearing what Uri said to him jokingly and because of it he lost.

But then Uri came back to give him some help after the whole battle and he forgot about it just as quickly as it entered his mind.

"Funny how i said something similar to someone not too long ago and here i am. Much oblidged." he said as he used Uri's hand to pull himself off the ground.

The next fight would be Faira against Kobal.


[18:34] Xyth says, "Well everything really. "
[18:35] August cos Solenne says, "Good match. Next up, Faira and Titus."
[18:35] Uri Sanctum says, "Sister... You already know."
[18:35] Faira nods to Uri.
(Faira La Enfer Sanctum)
[18:36] Titus having drawn his blade, and channeled his lightning aura through it had taken a gander upon Faira's incarnation of fire. He knew the insurmountable odds against him - Not too long ago he'd seen her beat the Crown-Prince in a spar no less.

It wasn't a fight he'd win, he was sure; Though just as sure as he was to lose, he held confidence none the less. That's why he was in the Order, wasn't it? To face overwhelming odds, and to die for the ashes of his father and temples of his Gods.

He loosed a breathful battlecry:

"Incontinens!"

[18:38] Uri smiles and claps for Faira... Their training away from each other seemed to of paid off since the events of the Blazards long ago.

[18:40] Dismissed his lightning, rolling his eye with a huff and puff.

"Like-wise."

It was honest, and to him: Honestly unmatched. He merely chuckled and shook his head as he returned to line.

[18:41] Uri whistles at sight of the sword. "Liking the sword there Prince." He spoke with his eyes set on the relic.. But, it was a shame, he did not use swords. He stuck to the guns he was born with. An ancient practice. To humble him when he's older.

But… Nothing prepared the crowd for what was about to come next… A battle between Sister and Brother… One whoes flames were full of pure rage while the other, held flames of compassion for those around it.

[18:50] As she let her body become engulfed in fire once more she came face to face with her brother Uri. A wide smile would be present.

"Today is the day we show them Sanctum's Fire... Ignite."

Her blade once again would be enveloped by her flame. Her back would throb constantly as her flames began to flux and flicker all around her body. Her eyes would begin to glow. Golden hues fixed on her brother. She would now fully manifest the flame of Blazar to her command. Faira was now in control.

"Wildifre's Embrace..!!"

Faira would dash forward.

[18:51] August cos Solenne says, "A great match, Prince Alexander wins. Next up, Uri and Faira."
[18:52] Uri would look back at the roster. He noticed that this time it would be Sanctum against Sanctum... Both Equal, and now it was Fist against Swords... Both utilized only fire and their armed abilities for now... Though Uri was in the practice of reviving an ancient magic...

He looks to his sister, walking out onto the arena at the same time as she did. "Well, well, well~ Look what it came down to... A Phoenix dancing with A Wildfire, this shall be fun." Their rivalry was a challenging ordeal, even though their lives when apart were completely different.

Both were affected by a change, and so, Uri would see this change for the first time in ages. Up close, in a new encounter with that of his dear sister. A girl who bathes in the fires of the earths core, though not entirely true, it may as well be. For she cherished the flames for its destruction while Uri tried to bring out a healing aspect deep within, and long forgotten.

"You remember the golden rule... Don't Lose, and don't hold back," said Uri, getting into the stance of the Iron Fist...Sparks of an ATTEMPTED infusion of cosmic and fire came about for all he took, was the heart of the Blazar..

With this match before many. They shall honor their ancestors... Fleur, Reno, and Athena.

[18:53] Uri Sanctum says, "So close and so fast."
[18:53] Faira La Enfer Sanctum says, "Ignite..."
[18:53] Kabal asks, "...Anyone have an amnesia?"

[18:55] Faira La Enfer Sanctum says, "A Sanctum's Fire is a Sanctums Victory."

The battle against his sister was a very close match. Losing the first round, winning the second where it all came down to the third round. One of which was a match ending where if one could land their combination strikes first, that person would be the victor and it just so happens. That it was not Uri, but Faira who managed to close the gap and bring defeat to her brother in this spar. Though they were pretty even, Faira held the advantage of a greater connection to the flames while Uri pursued other arts. However, no matter the victor… It was still, a Sanctum victory.
