*** Something feels off.
*** The air becomes thick. Your movements become sluggish. Walking is difficult.
[A man in a suit.] says "Samantha Bryden."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden jolts backwards upon turning around, she furrows her eyebrows before almost yelling out, clearly shocked by the man's sudden appearance; "Who are you?!"
*** You find yourself stuck in space.
[A man in a suit.] says "Nobody of consequence, Ms. Bryden."
[A man in a suit.] says "Listen to me very carefully."
[A man in a suit.] says "The ELA - the ones in green."
[A man in a suit.] says "They're precipitating a war, Ms. Bryden."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden 's breathing quickens, her eyes darting around for some sort of help before finally locking onto the man in the suit, listening to him.
*** [A man in a suit.] paces slowly with a painful sort of silence in his step.
[A man in a suit.] says "They'll be the downfall of everything you've built."
[A man in a suit.] says "Not to mention a major, er..."
[A man in a suit.] says "Liability... for us."
[A man in a suit.] says "I know what you think I am, and you're wrong."
[A man in a suit.] says "We're just trying to keep things in order, Samantha."
[A man in a suit.] says "Engel Haas - he can't stick around. Not any longer."
[A man in a suit.] says "Dammit."
[A man in a suit.] says "You have a certain knack for perseverence, Ms. Bryden."
[A man in a suit.] says "You don't give up, even when the odds are against you."
[A man in a suit.] says "I have a soft spot for people like that."
[A man in a suit.] says "We've decided to offer you a bit of an opportunity."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden struggles as she finds herself unable to move her legs, she grits her teeth as her face falls upon a panicked look. She lets out a rush of air, attempting to calm herself down. She's at a loss for words.
[A man in a suit.] says "The ELA and Psi-Tech are going to go to war. That much is clear."
[A man in a suit.] says "It's a matter of *when*."
[A man in a suit.] says "If you help us start this war, well..."
[A man in a suit.] says "Great things will come your way, Ms. Bryden."
[A man in a suit.] says "And better opportunities down the line."
[A man in a suit.] says "Understand?"
[A man in a suit.] says "You're a creative person. I trust I won't have to do the thinking for you."
[A man in a suit.] says "I have bigger fish to fry - we all do."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden turns her head away slightly, although keeps her eyes locked on the man. She's confused, you can tell that much. She takes a deep breath before speaking; "Why...? Who...?", is all she can make out before coughing due to the sudden thickness of the air.
[A man in a suit.] says "Hey, hey, keep your head."
[A man in a suit.] says "Do you understand the assignment, Ms. Bryden?"
[A man in a suit.] says "Nod 'yes' or 'no'."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden gives a single, slow nod his way as she manages her breathing, still in a state of shock.
[A man in a suit.] says "Thank you, Ms. Bryden."
[A man in a suit.] says "Instigate hostilities, sew suspicion."
[A man in a suit.] says "We'll be keeping an eye on you."
[A man in a suit.] says "We always will."
[A man in a suit.] says "Anyway, Ms. Bryden."
[A man in a suit.] says "My time here is running out."
*** [A man in a suit.] grins like the devil on his birthday.
[A man in a suit.] says "I trust you won't disappoint me, Sam."
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden simply stares at the man, vocally unresponsive.
*** [A man in a suit.] offers a sly, mocking wave.
*** The chanting of Vortigaunts rings out.
*** You are freed.
*** Samantha 'Sam' Bryden falls to her knees as she begins coughing violently, gasping for breath. Muttering out something unintelligible to herself before staring at the deck of the ship, going through what just happened, questioning its reality.
