- [18:02:14] Entering a state of concentration, Ennis took advantage of the free time he had granted himself.
- The Willows were the perfect place for him to develop his connection to the lifestream. Away from the depravity of Nostvale, he was able to think clearly. When he closed his eyes, the child visualized the stream of life flowing around him in all directions. The white nonpigmented waters that existed everywhere, in all planes of space. It was suffering.
- There was no aligned stream, no set course for the arcane energy to follow. It was in chaos, as if boulders of entropy had blocked every river and caused the waters to splash back and forth onto each other. Deep in meditation, the child felt a tingling sensation encase his body.
- He had to break the boulders, as he had done before with his first training under the mentorship of Bast.
- He had to remove the obstacles that halted the progression of the lifestream. Yet, every time he smashed a boulder a new one would reappear in the previous ones place. It was like he had was leveling a mountain, one pebble at a time. He spent the rest of the night trapped within the confines of his own internal struggle, attempting to liberate the silver creeks.
- It was clear he wasn’t sleeping. As the night continued, the energy exuding from his person only grew stronger and brighter until the young disciple became a beacon, a light in the darkness of the untamed jungle.
