  1. You put a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores.
  2.
  3. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  4. "Freedom... "
  5. There was nothing like it. Gliding through the skies with the birds, our wings outspread as the winds swirl and laugh around us.
  6. I can hear the wind, and it can hear as I sing to it, calling little zephyrs and soft currents as the birds dance upon the swirling breezes that I call. Their voices are so pure, singing and chirping with a carefree happiness.
  7. Sometimes I long to be free like the birds, like the wind...
  8.
  9. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  10. "His hair was warm with sunlight." I thought to myself. Though now We hid within the heart of the First World, Our home. I knew it was improper, clinging so.
  11. But for a moment I found a reprieve from the horrors of war. We had all suffered loss, I knew this, for there were but a few of My circle left. Once We were hundreds, though now We could not rally ten. "Lyreth, you should not have wandered," came Terentia's remonstration.
  12. I could feel the sense of apology flow from Him in My arms, and knew He was offering Her a look that said the same.
  13. His sweet voice had been hidden, yet when I held Him close, I could hear it singing still. Separated they might be, but His soul sang at its memory, and I could yet feel the flow of energy that hid beneath His skin. "Spirit follows form," My sister had once said. "As above, so below," Lantra had answered.
  14.
  15. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  16. Krokano's eyes had been consumed by the Soulless God, Crazen, His spirit cruelly hacked away from His form, and what was left was unimaginable.
  17. I looked upon His dreadful wounds having been brought to assess Him by Lantra, the White.
  18. I knew Malmydia's techniques were not conventional, what happened to poor Fininkora was unacceptable but We needed as many of our Seconds back out onto the battlefield as We could muster, so I will give Her this final chance to prove Her discoveries and if they don't work...
  19. I will shut down Her experiments... Permanently.
  20.
  21. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  22. There was something about Him.
  23. The way the wind beckoned to His voice, it swirled around Him, shifting... changing as He sang to it, sang to the birds as He gave them a voice.
  24. It was such a pure and unadulterated experience, so magical to watch Him doing what He loved.
  25. Lyreth had proven His place amongst the Elders as a Fourth Circle and as a Keeper of the Song of Creation. But I dare not get too close...
  26. Though I long to...
  27.
  28. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  29. It is so easy to get lost in His eyes. Those tawny-streaked violet eyes... So captivating.
  30. And His smile, oh how I wish He would smile more often, but alas, the duties of an Elder of the First Circle do not leave much room for happiness.
  31. He is always so bogged down in obligation and responsibility... I yearn for Him to be free.
  32.
  33. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  34. Several other Elders were there, looking as though they had been using this as a base of operations for some time.
  35. Meridian took the lead, as Us remaining of the First Circle surrounded him, including Zvoltz, Aslarn, and Myself. Meanwhile, Roark and Xyl were also present but they were overseeing the enormous floating crystal.
  36.

  38. I used to watch as the other Fourth Circle Keepers wove The Song of Creation into such beautiful creations, but what had I created? Nothing but invisible winds.
  39. As playful as they were, they were no where near the stunning birds Isune painted, so beautiful, such stunning colours, their delicate wings sprayed with magnificent hues.
  40. I'd often think to myself if they could be more. "If only I could use the Song to give them a voice." I thought.
  41. I drew into My own Song, whistling to the winds in different pitches and tones until one of the birds took on the melody, it was truly captivating. I'd done it!
  42. So I continued to weave My own Song into the song of the birds, giving them a voice, a beautiful voice.
  43.
  44. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  45. I watched over Lantra and the other Hamadhi as they tended to the wounds of the Seconds. My duties as Their First was to ensure Their efforts were used accordingly in these troubling times.
  46. Some of the Seconds that came off the battlefield only had minor injuries, while the others... I did not think would ever recover.
  47. While Lantra manipulated the immanidivinus energies around Her patients to calm them, using traditional healing techniques, Malmydia, Her methods were quite different, innovative, but different.
  48. Malmydia was one of the gifted Hamadhi, though of late, Her techniques had been... different.. almost cruel.
  49.
  50. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  51. "You're so lucky, Rhapsody." I said as I nudged Her playfully, as We watched Lantra and Eventru working with the Hamadhi.
  52. She smiled at me, She knew My feelings for Eventru and enjoyed teasing Me so..
  53. "Just how Our gifts bring Us joy when We sing, so to does love." She said with a smile, Her eyes sparkling with a playful jest.
  54. She lent over and wrapped an arm around Me as We continued to watch Them work, "Tell Him how You feel, Lyreth. Perhaps He feels the same?"
  55.
  56. As you place a radiant mote of golden light into a marble slab veined with precious ores, the aura of starlight surrounding the body of Valtreth flares brilliantly. A sudden jolt shocks you as a strange, yet familiar vision appears before you.
  57. Several other Elders were there, looking as though they had been using this as a base of operations for some time.
  58. Meridian took the lead, as Us remaining of the First Circle surrounded him, including Zvoltz, Aslarn, and Myself. Meanwhile, Roark and Xyl were also present but they were overseeing the enormous floating crystal.
  59. Several other Elders of the Second Circle were also present, three members of the Golden Ones, Krokano, Terentia, and Hajamin, were at Meridian's side as they discussed strategies.
  60. There was the entire Second Circle cadre known as the Crimson Eyes, which included Kalikai, Igaso, Ologri, Braun, and Panamandius. The only one of the Crimson Eyes, not there was Oovanti, the brother-mate to Ologri, but then I recalled that He was one of the earliest casualties in the war.
  61. And this made Me long for My Lyreth, for I prayed He was safe as so many of the Keepers had been consumed already, my stomach churned at the thought of losing Him.
  62.
  63.

  65. "My sweet Lyreth..." I thought as I watched Him from afar.
  66. So sweet and passionate, wild and tempestuous.
  67. He is chaotic and carefree, as youthful and spontaneous as He is emotionally fathomless. Of the many things He is, one of His strongest points of character is that He favours living in the moment rather than dwelling on the past.
  68. Glancing around at the other First Circles gathered, Xyl, Meridian, Shairim, Fain... "Duty to me always comes first." I thought, a sharp pain shooting through my chest as I stole a glance over at Lyreth once again.
  69. "Even at the expense of happiness, for it is the duty of a First to remain steadfast in these times of war." the thoughts kept racing through My mind.
  70. I turned back to the matters at hand, but one thing still echoed in My thoughts, something Lyreth told me... "Pleasure is easy to come by and as rewarding as it is intrinsic to the very nature of life.
