Plot Backstory

Andrew S.           8th April, Year 5461

We all came for this happy place. A place of fun and thrill. Family and laughter. It was opening day and like me many others came to visit. We rode the rides many times. I and many others decided to stay in the park for the next day since the park would stay open at all time. One month later and most of us are still here and many new guests have joined us.

There was however one curiosity to this “happy” place. No one ever came back. Even those who promised to be there the next day again. Whoever left the park was never to be seen again.
In year 2 a tall rollercoaster was build, riding this new ride made us realize in what position we were. The park is surrounded by void, and nothing else. Those who spoke loudly about it were brutally murdered by the claw.
We knew what was going on. But why? And how? Where’s the life we had outside of this world.

Towards the end of year 4 we started to organise meetings with all the Dayoners. We need to find a way to exit the park safely. Many have just done it. But I was too scared. I did not trust the void.
After year 51 the park was abandoned by the claw. Buildings started to fall apart and the rides broke down one by one.  This allowed us to scavenge for parts. Parts which we could use to enter the void safely. We were hopeful that one day we could live beyond the void once again.

The years went by, we built our homes in the void. Supported by the park. Many were lost in the process of building it. Yet new people keep coming into the park.
People are scared for what’s to come. As for next month might be the last. Month 65535 is believed to be the end. The final frontier. I’ve lost hope that we’ll reach the void’s end. People start to become desperate. Using rollercoaster pieces to shoot them across the void. No one appears to have succeeded.

I rather spend my time in the park. Nobody comes here anymore due to the horrible memories. The truth is that this place is a quiet place now. If end of May 5461 will turn out to be the end. Then I’d like to leave this world in quietness, nature and peacefulness.

If it happens, then I shall be ready.

TL;DR:
Peeps start to realize that the park is surrounded by a void and there’s no way to exit alive. Peeps started to build above the void. The final month is near (month 65535) everyone is believed to die. Andrew S. will rest as the day comes in the park, Evergreen Park, since it’s the only place left with peace and nature.
