- CS:GO Editing Tutorials #15 - Gun Fire Effect (After Effects)
- 1. Go to this link: https://goo.gl/aVtiAQ, download and install it into your Adobe Presets folder
- (eg. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2017\Support Files\Presets)
- 2. Open After Effects and import your Greenscreen and World footage
- 3. Add KeyLight to your Greenscreen footage, to get rid of the Greenscreen
- 4. Use the Pen tool and create a mask around the gun
- 5. Apply Auto-Trace, which is under Layer > Auto-Trace
- 6. Make sure "Apply to new layer" and "Work Area" are checked, then hit ok and let it do it's thing
- 7. Wait for the Auto-Trace to be finished...
- 8. Once it's done, add the Preset you installed earlier it's called "Fire by RocketStock"
- 9. Set the Mode of the layer to "screen"
- 10. Play around with the: Flame Height, Fractal Size, Fire Density, Flicker Speed and Random Speed to your liking
- 11. Go down to Glow, set the Glow Colors mode to A&B and set it the two colors you like
- 12. Now you've got a cool Gun Fire Effect!
- 13. Now you can add any other effects you want, then render it out and you're done
