 Michael had been working quietly in his shop behind the counter. Working on a proto-type. He was trying his best to create a converter. The intent for it was to make it to where he could supply Mana to a device to power it instead of a electrical battery. So far he'd been getting no where. Either the device didn't work at all, The runes on the converter wouldn't activate, or many other short comings.

 He rubbed his head feeling a bit tired of trying but he was serious about his goal of melding both Magic and Technology together to form the next best thing. He knew that anyone could generate mana with some practice and if he could make a tech that could run off mana, he could easily fix the world's energy problem.

 But as each test ended with failure upon failure he was beginning to find his will to continue the project waning. He currently laid his head on his desk as he was going over the various tests. He had at least gotten past the explosive stage of testing, not having to worry about it blowing up in his face but the notes he had strewn across the table weren't helping now, he had to try something else.

He sat up in his chair as he was looking around in thought, trying to think of something he was missing. But something brought out from his train of thought as thunder rung out from outside and rain began pouring onto his building. The soothing sound of the storm outside giving him a bit of relief as he had always loved the sounds of the rain and the thunder. He sighed out as he tapped his finger before his mind caught onto something.

 He began doting down something onto the paper. The idea of a miniature metal piece inside of a stone that rotated on a small axis. The inner stone had to be hollowed out which wouldn't be to hard but the real kicker was getting water into the stone. He had known a bit of water magic and the runes he could inscribe on the stone converter could also be of the water plane to aid in his plan.

Looking over the schematic he got to work. Creating the new converter, focusing on hallowing the insides of the stone before turning the dust into the metal by having the stone absorb some liquid mana. Carefully he went to work etching the runes onto it before looking them over to make sure there was no imperfection in their making. When it was done he had to test it

attaching a few alligator clamps onto it he checked the meter before focusing mana into the converter. The runes lighting up as he heard movement inside of the converter. The runes doing their job to move the metal blades inside like a miniature waterwheel.

 Looking at the Meter as he saw that a  bit of electrical energy was being produced from the converter. It was hopeful though he was curious how well it's work. Placing the converter back into the device he had been using for testing. He attached it and began focusing his mana once more as he watched the runes light up but the device was having troubles turning on. While it wasn't a complete success he was very much on his way towards perfecting this melding. A small victory he felt rather proud of.
