- [A4A][SCRIPT OFFER] A true act of heroism [Admirer][Hero][You are my favourite hero][You are not "weak"][Healing][Cute][Shy][Encouraging][Blooming romance][Part 1 of...?]
- A world with heroes able to take down gangs, giant monsters, machines operated by mad scientists or travel at the speed of sound. Why would anyone with no powers or high-tech suits dare to fight evil and injustice? Why not waiting for the heroes that always win? What's the point of trying to be a hero if you can't win fights?
- In a dark alley, a girl finds one of those "low-ranked heroes" who just lost a fight. People laughed at him. Although, they forgot about him as soon as a popular and "strong" hero arrived. She saw the scene and followed him.
- What's the point of stop being a hero if someone out there thinks that you are doing great as one?
- “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ― Edmund Burke.
- *You will play as the "admirer"* (Spoiler, she is a nurse who is not currently working as one because [BACKSTORY])
- *All characters are above 18*
- ------------------------------------------------------ A true act of heroism ----------------------------------------------------------
- (A dark alley. Think of one at a boulevard or something. Stores nearby, people, not "many cars". Etc)
- (Steps, fast ones, or running, up to you)
- A-Are you alive?
- I saw the fight, you got severely injured!
- W-What? I'm not here to laugh at you, I want to assist you.
- Please, allow me to. I am a nurse.
- Just, stop making questions and let me help you.
- Yes, I brought a med-kit with me.
- Let's see.
- (Feel free to add sounds of what you think should fit the scene. Bandages, or just a "hmmm". Up to you)
- Your ribs, your arm, your knee.
- You sure are tough.
- I didn't say it with sarcasm...
- I was not among the ones that laughed at you.
- I could never do such a thing.
- If it wasn't because the crowd was so loud and there was an actual monster, I would have totally stopped them.
- (You can continue the healing if you want. Feel free to improv)
- Actually, that is what makes you different.
- What makes you special.
- You "did" something.
- I only saw it. As a spectator.
- That is why you are a "hero" after all.
- Me?
- (Melancholic)
- Oh, sorry. But I am not actually a nurse.
- I mean, at this moment. I am one but, not anymore.
- Yeah, that should explain why I'm dressed as a waitress/waiter, right? Haha...
- (Pause)
- Let me clean you up a bit. Ok?
- D-Don't move, please.
- Please, let me do this.
- Good.
- (Wiping. You can add the sounds)
- There you go.
- I don't mind blood on my clothes, I can wash them, don't worry.
- The ambulance should arrive at any moment now.
- I did call for one before coming here.
- Your wounds need treatment, I only did first-aid.
- (Short pause, he talks)
- Hmmm?
- Oh, no, I'll stay here with you.
- ...Why?
- Do you really think that I would leave you alone?
- After what you did?
- (Longer pause, he insists that he failed)
- (Louder)
- There was a monster, it was an emergency!
- It was about to go on a rampage, and there were a lot of families around.
- It was because of you confronting him that people got time to leave and find refuge.
- (He answers)
- So what if you still didn't stop it?
- (Annoyed)
- Even when there were more heroes around, they were "busy" eating and taking pics.
- I know this because at the restaurant I work at, there was one doing just that!
- And he was talking on the phone with some others that were looking for "cooler-looking capes".
- Yeah, it was him, the one that after 15 minutes, showed up.
- He could have handled it with no problems in less than a minute, but he didn't.
- Instead, he waited for you to fight, so he could give the finishing blow and get the praise while others made fun of you.
- Seriously, why people don't consider those things?
- Why are those guys even called "heroes"?
- They got it easy, they were born with powers or have the money to build equipment.
- They don't even have to work-out that much!
- Yet, ugh... just remembering seeing him giving autographs makes me wanna...
- (Interrupted. He tries to stand up)
- H-Hey, wait.
- No! You should wait for the ambulance.
- Go home?
- R-Retire?
- Are you going to give up?
- N-No! I won't allow that.
- (Yearning)
- The city needs you!
- Hey, no. Lean on me.
- It's alright.
- Yeah, let's... go somewhere else.
- This place is full of trash.
- There is a little park nearby, none goes there at this time.
- The ambulance?
- I actually gave the direction to that park.
- My first intention was to take you there, after all.
- A place like a back alley, with bags of trash, is not where my favourite hero should even be.
- Huh?
- Yeah... my favourite hero.
- I am not lying!
- Come on, let's go.
- (As they walk, slow steps).
- How do I even know you?
- I mean, for starters, you mostly watch over this district, right?
- I work and live here.
- The first time I saw you, was a time when you helped an old couple with the stairs of the entrance to the hospital.
- Yeah, I was on my break... back then, when I was working as a nurse.
- You seemed like a regular guy, a civilian, not a hero.
- But then I realized that you were actually wearing a "costume".
- No offense, but regular sports clothes...
- I'm so glad that you changed it.
- After that, I saw a lot of your early job.
- Directions, more elders, kids that got lost, people moving boxes...
- Hmmm?
- What do you mean?
- Again, I am not joking!
- I thought that it was so cool that you were doing such things!
- Yes, I am being sincere.
- But, I was already planning on quitting my job.
- And when I did, I did not leave home for some time.
- I was very... sad and I didn't have any motivation.
- People rarely thanked us, the payment was not enough, and... my ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.
- You know how it is.
- (Awkward silence. Then, no more steps. A peaceful ambiance)
- Oh, here we are.
- I told you, none comes here at this time.
- Sit on the bench.
- I'll help you.
- Does it hurt?
- No?
- Good.
- I'll sit by your side, you don't mind, don't you?
- So, as I was saying.
- It was months like that for me.
- Until one day, from my window, I saw you again.
- As I said, you did so well at changing your attire, haha.
- I was able to recognize you.
- You were trying to stop a robbery.
- Yeah, the cops were right there already.
- But the fact that you showed up... so inspiring.
- Ahem, anyways.
- I had to find a job, and here I am now.
- I make enough money, don't worry.
- Although, sometimes, those "special guests" called "high ranked heroes" makes it a bit unbearable...
- You should stop by.
- I will gladly take your order if you do! (Giggles)
- (Silence. Then, caring and nostalgic)
- Are you really going to give up on being a hero?
- Look, I know that I am not the best one to tell you to not give up.
- I mean, I am someone who gave up with being a nurse.
- But, can you recall what made you want to start as one?
- To help others? As a way to improve yourself as a person? Maybe... to have fun?
- I see.
- Do you wanna know what I think?
- I think that you should not.
- The city needs someone like you.
- They need someone with the true essence of a hero!
- If you ask me, being one is not about being strong, or winning, or being cool.
- It is simply about having the will to be one.
- To stand against injustice.
- To be willing to fight anything!
- And you... you are the perfect example.
- You... you go against anything that could threaten someone else.
- No matter how strong it is, you still show up!
- Even when you know that you will not win.
- You go because... because you know that none else will.
- This is why you are my favourite hero...
- And, in my opinion, you are the strongest too.
- You have been able to deal with humiliation.
- With shallow people that are only interested in fancy heroes.
- Interested in seeing good and exciting fights.
- People that take for granted that a successful hero is the one that wins.
- You fall, yet, you get up, every time.
- None has that fortitude, none has that will.
- So, please... consider this, before taking a decision.
- If you ever feel like it's useless and that you have achieved nothing...
- Remember that somewhere around, there is someone inspired by you.
- I have thought about it and, I want to go back to the hospital and be a nurse again.
- I want to be able to help again.
- Even if it's a little thing to do.
- I want to see others doing well.
- I want to heal people.
- So they can go back to their lives, so they can keep fighting.
- I want to be like you.
- Someone who was able to save me from my downfall.
- (Silence. Then, excited and happy)
- You will?
- You won't give up?
- Do you promise it?
- I-If you do, then I promisee that I will do the same and I'll not give up. That I'll return to my previous job.
- Deal?
- Good... hehe.
- I am so glad!
- I got to know my favourite hero and I even helped him a bit!
- How can I not be this happy?
- B-Blushing?
- M-Me?
- I'm just, very happy. That's all.
- I am serious!
- I do blush when I get this happy.
- ...
- But, really. I am so glad.
- Don't forget our deal, ok?
- C-Can I request something?
- Next time we meet up, can you give me your autograph?
- You will?
- Thank you!
- Can I ask one more thing?
- Just one more thing, I promise.
- ...If it's not much to ask...
- (Very nervous)
- C-Can I have your n-number?
- Well, Ummm, I just want to check your status from time to time.
- I-I can also heal your wounds whenever you need it with urgency.
- Besides, wouldn't you...want to talk from time to time?
- We made a deal, after all.
- It is important to stay in touch. Right?
- Y-Yeah.
- Got it.
- Oh, looks like the ambulance is nearby.
- I will visit you.
- ...
- Thank you so much, for everything.
- S-See you!
