A PROMOTION!

Covet: Eli came out of the office and was looking around for Adam. He had an envelope in his hand and he walked over to the couches and set it down on the table. Thankfully it was a slow night, given that people were studying their asses of for finals.
Alexithymiaa: -Adam was in the back of the shop on one of the computers logged into his school account so he could check his grades from the finals that he took earlier in the week. Scanning the few grades that had been posted thus far, he smirked to himself, pleased with the straight A's he'd managed to pull this semester.-
Covet: Eli looked about and saw Adam, then called out to wave him over.

Covet: Eli looked about and saw Adam, then called out to wave him over, "Hey, Man if you're not busy over there, would you mind coming to have a chat with me, All business I swear." Eli said with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, sure!" He called back to him, quickly logging off the computer, he pushed up from the chair and moved through the shop to head across the shop in Eli's direction. "What's up?"-
Covet: "Have a seat." Eli said as he also sat down, " So I wanted to give you a head up on some things that are going to be changing a little bit around here. All positive things so don't panic." He told him adding reassuringly.
Alexithymiaa: -He dropped down to sit down beside Eli, leaning forward and resting his forearms on his knees. "What kind of changes?"-
Covet: "Well, I've been in the plans of buying Monica out of her half of the business. That was our plan when we set all this up, but I had to finish my business degree first. Well, That will be next week [Yes? maybe? I'll see what Bliss has going on?] once I graduate." Eli said starting in.
Alexithymiaa: "Wow... that's... wow. What a great capital venture for you. Especially considering how much work you put into this shop, you really do deserve to have full ownership over the company. What kind of changes do you intend to make once it's entirely yours?" He asked, his brows raised.-
Covet: "Thank you. Well, that's where I've been thinking more, and I know what I'd like to see, but I'm not sure of the reality of it, considering that I know you have other ventures you're looking into as well." Eli said. "As an owner, I'd like to continue building the brand, as well as focusing more on my comic work and getting us out there and on the map more in that industry. That's going to require me not being here all the time. But I still need someone I can trust and has my best intrerest in mind for the shop. I was hoping that maybe I could interest you in a manager position, Your time would be more flexible, the pay would be more."
Alexithymiaa: -His eyes went a little wide as Eli explained his plans. "Oh... wow. I'd be very interested in a manager position. I was going to talk to you about taking on a bit more here during the Summer months since I'll have more time. I'm heading home to Kansas next week, but when I get back I really want to work more. So maybe in that time, we can go over some things you want me doing and handling and do a little bit of manager training?"-
Covet: "Really? Yeah, man I'd love to have you on and sure thing We can get you going once you get back from your parent's. " Eli said with a grin. "Only one other thing left to do, but I'll have to speak to Prudence about all of that."
Alexithymiaa: "Is that one thing still business related?" He asked with a grin, trying to get a little nosey because he still assumed they were talking shop.-
Covet: "Yeah, I know it probably seems a little superfluous, but with owning a business and the intent to marry Bliss, I'd like to run a prenup past Prudence. As my Wife, Bliss is going to split the partnership with me here. That way, should anything happen to me, It's already in her name and there won't be a big to do about it." Eli said, he'd been up to lots of responsible things lately.
Alexithymiaa: "Do you really need a prenup to secure that, though?" He asked with furrowed brows. "Without a living will and no next of kin, any assets of yours default to your wife anyway. Not that I'm trying to discourage you from a prenup, but it might be a lot of hassle to go through and legalize if it's not even necessary."-

Covet: "No of course, I don't need it. But it also feels like the responsible thing to do. I want to show Prudence that Half of everything I have will be hers and I'm more than happy to give it to her, and make sure that's secure. It's one of those things that I know is small, but I think it's something that Bliss will swoon over. At least, I hope it is. That's my intent. She doesn't know I'm making her my co-owner."
Alexithymiaa: "It's not as small as you think it is. It's a pretty big deal and a pretty big compliment to pay someone. She'll definitely swoon over it and appreciate that you've thought of everything. Bliss usually does appreciate thoroughness." He said with a grin, easing back on the couch. "Have y'all planned more wedding things?"-
Covet: "No, I haven't at least, not in regards to the actual event and all." Eli said with a nervous shrug scratching the back of his neck. " I've been trying to get all of this in order and get finals and graduation out of the way. Then I'll have plenty of free time to hitting the grind stone on all of that. "
Alexithymiaa: "So I take it the wedding won't be any time soon then." He said with a nod. "There's no reason to rush it. It's better to give yourselves plenty of time and get exactly what you want out of it rather than try to run around getting everything done in such a short time period."-
Covet: "We were hoping for the date that I asked her to be my girlfriend at the Ren Fair, and I'd still like that to be the case. So I hope she's worked on it more, because that's less than a couple months off." Eli said a little nervously.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm sure she has. Knowing Bliss, she probably has every detail worked out." He started to laugh, running his fingers through his hair. "When was that?"-
Covet: "Uh...Julyish... I think. I should probably get these things engrained in my head now.... before they're actually really important to remember." Eli said, then looked about. " We should probably get ready to close up, I doubt we're going to get anyone else coming in tonight.
Covet: *"
Alexithymiaa: "Well let me know so I can set the date aside." He pushed up to his feet, looking around. "Yeah, probably. It's been a slow night since finals are going on this week." He walked over to the desk of computers, shutting them down one by one.-
Covet: "Yeah definitely, everyone will know for sure." Eli said with a grin, "I'm actually pretty excited about it. This whole growing up thing isn't nearly as bad as some say it is." He told him getting things tidied up and cleaned for closing.
Alexithymiaa: "I think I'm okay with waiting on thhat." He said with a laugh, walking around the half wall so he could head over to the counter to get a rag, wiping down the surface.-
Covet: "You've got plenty of time." Eli said. "Once your finished with that if you want to head out, I can finish the rest of it. One more day of finals. Then you're done for the Summer, and I'm done for good." Eli said with a pleased sigh.
Alexithymiaa: "Feels good, doesnt it?" He said as he finished wiping down the counter. "I've still got another year of undergrad, and then four years of law school to go. I won't be done anytime soon."-
Covet: "Mhhm ANd I wish you the best of luck with those next five years." Eli said with a chuckle. "Go on, get out of here. I'll see you later, Man." Eli told him as he went about getting the rest of the shop closed up for the night.
Alexithymiaa: -He tossed the rag under the counter, sending Eli a wave. "Yeah, five very expensive years. I'll see you tomorrow." He called out to him, clocking out and making his way out of the shop to head home.-
