+Lee Taeyoon, 51, father, musician, 8/10, Her father was the reason Chaejin developed a love for music.  He taught her to play the guitar and piqued her interest in songwriting. Music is what brought the two of them closer together. Despite exposing her to music, Taeyoon knew the industry could be dark. Although he wanted his daughter to be safe and untainted, he admired her love for singing and recognized her talent. He wasn't happy when she auditioned as a trainee, but eventually he realized that she was in charge of her future and that he couldn't protect her from everything. Chaejin's dad is one of her closest friends.

|| background: Chaejin was born and raised in the Gangnam district of Seoul, South Korea. She was born well off as her mother was a nurse and her father, Lee Taeyoon, was the bassist of korean band Boohwal. As an only child, she was never deprived of love and affection from her parents. In fact, she often felt smothered by her parents, her mother especially. When she was a child, her mother treated her like a human doll. She made Chaejin put on cute dresses, wear bows in her hair, and style her hair the way she wanted it. She also forced Chaejin to take ballet classes. As a child it didn’t bother her, but after a while it became overwhelming.

Chaejin’s teen years were all about finding herself and becoming more independent. She wasn't the best student and got average grades, but she loved music and dance. Growing up with a father in the music industry, music was an integral part of her life. She learned to play the guitar from her father and developed a love for rock music from him. She also got into hip hop. Chaejin hadn’t been interested in hip hop until she met her best friend Vivian when they were 12. She ditched ballet and began taking hip hop classes. She exercised often and it shows in her toned body. She listened to old school and new school hip hop and became especially interested in rap.

Despite exposing Chaejin to music, her father didn't actually want her to enter the music industry. He saw how cruel the industry could be and how it could chew people up and spit them out. He didn't want that to happen to his daughter. He was weary of Chaejin's prevalent interest in becoming a rapper. Chaejin's relationship with her mother had always been complicated. They were alike in many ways which caused them to butt heads. They were both stubborn and hard to deal with. They were headstrong and argued often because of their differing opinions. All she wanted was for her mother to support the choices she made, but that never happened.

In 2012, Chaejin auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment without her parent's knowledge. She finally came clean with her parents and told them about the opportunity in front of her. Chaejin was surprised that her father was as accepting as he was. She was not, however, at all surprised by her mother's response. Her mother fought against it until the day that Chaejin moved out of the house and into a trainee dorm. After moving out, Chaejin and her mother’s contact became scarce.

|| personality: Chaejin is confident in herself and her abilities. She may not be the best, but she knows she's good and she won't let anyone tell her otherwise. She's confident onstage and off and always puts her best into her performances. Confidence radiates off of Chaejin wherever she goes. She fearlessly makes bold comments sometimes regardless of the consequences. Chaejin believes she has to be confident in herself because if she doesn't love herself, who will? Chaejin is friendly to almost everyone and loves meeting new people and going new places. She’s outgoing and a fun person to be around. She’s most definitely an extrovert. She enjoys being in the social scene and making many friends. Like everyone, She has a close group of friends that she prefers being around, but that doesn't stop her from making more. She's usually the first one to start a conversation and has no problem approaching others. She's also a very approachable person and is easy to talk to. She loves giving advice and is always a helpful hand if you need one. She's a very talkative person and generally enjoys spending time with others, especially those close to her. Chaejin loves to make people laugh. Usually, if you're happy, she's happy. Happiness is contagious after all.

Patience is not a virtue that Chaejin possesses. She doesn’t like to be kept waiting. Little things like the train or bus being late annoy her to death. She tries to conceal her annoyance, but it’s usually written on her face for everyone to see. Unlike most people, she hates surprises. She wants to be told what she’s getting rather than having to wait and see. She’s never one to stop and think about a decision. Instead, she impulsively makes decisions and always goes with her gut instinct. First thought is the best thought. Chaejin often pays attention to small details and can be quite meticulous. She wants things put in the right place. She wants her clothes arranged a certain way. Her food needs to be cooked a certain way. The smallest things need to be to her liking and up to par. She can also be very condescending at times. She puts herself on a pedestal as a way to boost her confidence. She'll flaunt her talents and looks and call it confidence when in reality she’s just plain pompous. She often downplays other's achievements with her own. She doesn’t realize that her way of boosting her confidence can be harmful to others. She puts herself before others and often isn’t considerate toward others feelings at times.

|| why does your character want to be an idol?: she wants to be an idol because she has a passion for music. She loves the freedom she feels when performing and she always feels in her element on stage. Music is a creative outlet for her just like art is for some people.

|| how they act on stage: she is very confident and charismatic. Whenever it’s her turn to shine, she always makes the best of it and tries to make a good impression. A common criticism is that she tries to outshine other girls and being part of a group means helping others shine so that the whole group shines together rather than just one member.
|| how they act off stage but on camera: she’s an outgoing girl who likes to have fun and make new friends. She tries to make the best of every situation and tries to remain positive and calm even when she is frustrated and upset

|| how would your character react to someone being eliminated from her mission group? what if she hated that person? what if she was close to that person?: she would be sad for them and encourage them to keep training even though they were eliminated. If she hated that person, she would pity them, but she wouldn’t really comfort them or anything. She would just give them a pat on the back and move on with her life. If she was close to that person, she would probably cry if they started crying. She would definitely be warm and encouraging to them and try to make them feel better.

|| how would your character react if she was eliminated?: she would be extremely distraught and would most definitely cry. She wouldn’t handle failure very well especially if she got far in the competition and was close to being part of the final lineup.

|| describe the scene where your character wins one of the seats in the top seven.  be descriptive because if your character does make it to the top 7 i might use this scene!: her reaction would be very similar to somi’s when she won #1 in P101. She would let out a huge sigh of relief and probably start crying. She would celebrate her victory by herself at first by jumping and clapping for herself. Then, she would hug the other contestants that made it too and would celebrate along with them. She would be smiling the whole time and wouldn’t be able to contain her excitement.

|| how does your character act when meeting new people?: she is friendly and open to them. If they are more of the quiet type, she tries to get them to come out of their shell and loosen up. She tries to make new people feel comfortable around her.
