  1. Start: 5 am, Moonsday (Monday) Midsummer 21, 401 GA
  2.
  3. Ryardynin studied the stone megaliths outside the catacombs. He found out the following, successfully translating the meaning behind all of them.
  4.
  5. 1 - This stone depicts a voyage from a distant land and a hero-queen. The stone reads: Entombed in these halls are those who gave their lives for Adréssia.
  6. 2 - This stone depicts a sheathed sword, a penitent goat producing a sunburst. The stone reads: Guardians from the beyond guard those who gave everything for our home.
  7. 3 - This stone depicts a man, perhaps a trickster-god, high above out of reach in a window. The stone reads: Mortwin the Sage imbued this vault with his protection after our people were delivered from disaster. His eyes linger in these halls even yet.
  8. 4 - This stone depicts a bright sunburst above waves of flame. The stone reads: The Coruscating Sceptre of Mortwin is entombed within this vault, with its master. His successor will brave its halls to reunite with his lost relic.
  9.
  10. Making note of this, they proceeded.
  11.
  12. The found the entrance to the catacomb to be heavily trapped with poison dart traps and floor spikes. Ukurdiel and Emilia took time to disarm the traps. They were unsuccessful with one, triggering it instead of disarming it. Between them and the exit emerged several Puppeteers.
  13.
  14. The party dispatched them easily. One of the Puppeteers closed the door behind them politely, probably inadvertently closing the party inside the catacomb.
  15.
  16. Bypassing and disabling the traps, the party pressed on. Here, they found an illusory note only Ukurdiel and Ryardynin could perceive. It read: "Greetings, me! You're probably feeling pretty proud of yourself so far. You have created an impressive dungeon full of traps and pitfalls to keep the uglies out, and it's worked, for a very long time. Feel the same pride I do, me. You're probably here for the sceptre. Be very, very careful not to let the beast out of the right chamber in this room. Trust in your friend to find the way through. Best of luck. Toodles.
  17.
  18. Shrugging at the tense of this note, they solved the puzzle, but not before they got a glimpse of the Blisterface trapped within the puzzle. They did not engage with this beast, but instead bypassed it. It appeared to be a troll-sized creature with the body similar to an orangutan, with a face full of blisters. They recalled stories of how this creature is said to eat livestock and human children.
  19.
  20. Moving on to the next room, they found an enormous statue of an armored man holding an elaborate sceptre. There, they found a basin and yet another note. It read as follows: "I knew you had it in you, me. If you're feeling tired, come back here and place one copper coin into the plate to be restored of any injuries, even death. It only works once per person, so be careful. The next rooms are a
  21. bit mazey, so I won't bother explaining it here. You're smart, you can figure it out. Trust your instincts. You're me, after all. We got this."
