#PastebinMonday 03/25/2024 Three Weeks In, The Corner is Being Turned Edition

'Sup, doods!

For once, it is actually Monday morning as I start to type this update. It's 12 AM, however, and that's because I'm getting videos ready to publish. I have an idea of when to start releasing LPS videos and I am catching up on YouTube shorts. The busiest part of the tournament is now over. This weekend had six thrilling matches in the VS. tournament. Now, there are ten matches left in total (and two side tournaments) to be played over the next four weeks, four of them to be played next week. The corner is being turned on the transition back to normalcy. My current challenge is keeping my head tucked into the editing booth with a sufficient amount of background noise to not get completely bored. Unfortunately for me, I am, at this very moment, getting distracted by a new Phase Connect VTuber named Kaminari Clara. She seems to have Projekt Melody's sense of humor (and a little of her drawl, too), but is technically a Japanese talent. It's like the Japanese-speaking Tenma Maemi being technically an English-speaking talent. Where does the fish man find these people???

Tangent aside, 2024 is on the verge of resuming its quest to becoming the year of doing that I declared it to be. I just need a little more time, doods.


Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals (actual priority is in constant flux):

Goal #1: lots of thumbnails for the LPS videos. Finish preparing those videos alongside my shorts.
Goal #6: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. This will need to wait until after the Tetris Attack tournament winds down—top 6, maybe?
Goal #7: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process. Next objective is to make transitions and alerts.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.

Friday @ 9pm-1am EST – Friday Night Salt Mines – The HARDest Match is Coming Up, Doods!
Saturdays and Sundays will have matches throughout March and April for the duration of the tournament. I will be streaming to Twitch during my own matches. Go watch at twitch.tv/puzzlespeedrun!
