[19:57] As if summoned by mere thought, there arrives the well-dressed, scarf-toting artificer. Plus a nifty straw hat. She steps up behind Roland with a surprisingly, almost suspiciously quiet step.

And places it right back on top of his head. Where it belongs.

[20:04] Hopefully that wouldn't be the case. But if he had too, he would most certainly die before they took control over the city. But.. That wouldn't happen. Achyon was too busy with it's own problems at the moment.

Watching as the time magic returned his knees to normal... He finally felt alive once more. Only feeling pain from the past month or two while he was in Achyon's claws was... A bit, mentally tiring for him.

"..Thank you, cerise. I can help you find a doctor for yourself later, if that's okay."

And then? A sneak attack, the straw hat placed back on his head by no other than Katrin. Turning to her, he'd give a slight smile. "Hey. Glad to see ya again. And non-injured."

[20:04] Cerise Sikora says, "I'll be fine, I'm sure."
[20:05] The artificer smirks, thumbing the side of her nose. "Me? Injured? You're funny," she says with only a touch of sarcasm.

"And you ain't dead. How nice. Looks like the trade went off, huh?"

[20:08] The artificer sighed a little, sparing Katrin a brief look. At least Roland got his hat back, right?

[20:14] Roland frowned a bit upon her answer. "...Well, if you say so. I'm here to help though, yeah? Just let me know." Resting his hands in his pockets, he would roll his neck a bit. It felt a lot better to be back home. Definitely not as confined and stuffy as Achyon.

"Pft… I'm the funniest. And aye, it went well. I'm not destined to die yet it seems." Fixing his straw hat, he couldn't help but grin. It was something that he had all his life, and it just felt weird... Without it being on his head.

[20:15] Katrin asks, "What's the plan now then, Cadet?"

[20:15] Roland says, "I'm flat broke... And, I'm unsure if my apartment has been evicted yet."
[20:15] Katrin says, "Hope for your sake it ain't."
[20:16] Katrin says, "That'd suck. Real estate's tricky business and all."
[20:16] Roland asks, "Oh..? What'cha know about Real estate?"
[20:16] Katrin says, "It's hard to get in the big cities. That's what I know."
[20:17] Roland says, "Sounds like you've tried before."
[20:18] Roland says, "Also sounds like a good story that I'm interested in."

[20:22] Katrin says, "One of this rock's finest. And I'll only keep gettin' better, until I wind up in a box."
[20:22] Katrin says, "Came down from the mountain with nothin' but my tools and the clothes on my back."
[20:23] Roland says, "You're from the mountains? Explains why you're so tall.."
[20:23] Roland placed a hand atop her head.

The hand lands on top of her head. She looks up and goes partially cross-eyed.

"You tryin' to measure me? I'm six and four when the sun's out."

[20:33] "Sure... Then I'm seven feet when the moon comes up." He stretched, and crossed his arms behind his head, looking back over at her. "Come with me for a sec? I need ta' check on my place."

[20:34] Katrin snickers. "Suuure, ya are. Look like you're...what, six feet, soakin' wet?

Let's go then. Then I gotta go catch up on a debt later. Dunno why people insist on owin' me."

[20:38] Katrin widens her smirk. It looks just a -little- sinister. Only a little.

[20:39] Roland says, "..Oh... Phew... And ah, of course if I deserved it. Like... If I ruffled one of ya's hair. Made it messy."

[20:41] Roland exclaims, "But... It's just hair!"
[20:41] Sasha giggled a few more times.

[20:42] Roland says, "...I don't wanna get beaten up at the moment, so I won't... For now."
[20:42] Katrin says, "Good, good."
[20:43] Sasha smiled on at the interaction.

[20:44] Sasha offers them a wave and then was on her way!

[20:46] Roland asks, "...Kay, do you have furniture where you live at?"
[20:46] Katrin says, "..."
[20:46] Katrin says, "I got a workshop."

[20:46] Katrin says, "And a mat I sleep on."

[20:46] Roland sighed, and shook his head.

[20:47] Roland says, "For comfort! If your back is hurtin', then it could effect how ya travel."
[20:47] Katrin exclaims, "Pfft. Then it just needs more straw!"
[20:48] Katrin asks, "Look. I'll think 'bout it, alright?"
[20:48] Roland says, "Mhm..."
[20:49] Roland sighed again, he was totally, actually, and really, had no more money to his name.

[20:56] Katrin says, "I like Kay better, so thanks."
[20:56] Katrin asks, "Wait, you lived in trees?"
[20:56] Katrin says, "Figured Os would set their cadets up better."
[20:56] Roland says, "Pft... I don't even get a paycheck."

[20:56] Katrin deadpans at Roland.

[20:59] Roland gazed up at his ceiling in thought, in rememberence even before staring back into Kay's eyes.

[20:59] Katrin sits forward at the table, glancing sideways right back at Roland.

[20:59] Katrin says, "Hey. I won't be the one to drag it out of ya then if you don't wanna say."
[20:59] Katrin says, "I get havin' secrets."
[21:00] Roland asks, "Sayin' you have some too?"
[21:00] Katrin asks, "Is there anyone alive who ain't?"
[21:01] Roland says, "."
[21:02] Roland says, "Good point actually.."
[21:02] Roland says, "'Kay, I'm hungry."
[21:03] Katrin asks, "Then eat?"
[21:03] Katrin asks, "Ya got food, right?"

[21:03] Katrin asks, "What happened to that meat?"

[21:06] Katrin sits there. Her hand is...taken? He suddenly has her considerable, laser-focused and undivided attention. One brow arches.

"...Yyyyeah?"

[21:07] Roland says, "Milady..."
[21:07] Roland says, "I have, something very important to ask you.."
[21:07] Roland cleared his throat, and looked Kay in the eyes.

[21:08] Katrin asks, "Do ya gotta call me 'milady' when ya do it?"
[21:08] Roland says, "I bet you like it though."
[21:08] Katrin says, "Maybe a lil' part of me. I dunno. That's not a thing I've -ever- been called."
[21:10] Roland asks, "I can call ya that a lot more then, yeah?"
[21:10] Katrin says, "I might prefer somethin' more like 'Master Artificer' or 'Supreme Genius'."
[21:11] Roland says, "Pffft..."
[21:12] Roland says, "..We'll see about that. But, yeah, back to the question."
[21:13] Katrin asks, "Yeah?"
[21:13] Katrin asks, "...Are you 'bout to ask for a loan?"
[21:14] Roland says, "..Do-... The hel? NO. I was gonna ask if y'wanted to go get a drink together sometime, jeez..."
[21:14] Roland asks, "Do I really seem like that Kinda' guy?"
[21:16] Katrin exclaims, "..OH!"
[21:16] Katrin says, "No, no. I just, y'know. Knew ya were broke."
[21:17] Katrin considers this quietly for a moment. She scratches the back of her head and the side of her neck under her scarf.

"...You sure ya wanna offer that? I mean. I ain't precisely loyal to any one town. Bein' a business woman and all. And you bein' a Cadet.

But if you wanna, and it's just a drink and you ain't expectin' anything out of it...Ah. Hell. Why not?"

[21:24] A nod, but accompanied with a soft smile. "Hm... Ya don't need to be, I'm not gonna stop you from doin' what you need and want to do, Kay. It's your life." Blinking, and looking down slightly, he'd noticed their hands are still conjoined.

Did he say anything about it? No, he smirked, and even gave it a tight squeeze to see her reaction. "Anyways, when do you wanna hit it up? I'm usually free. And... You're usually busy."

[21:25] There's a little, toothy grin from the artificer. "Good. Don't think anything on this rock could stop me anyhow. Not even you," she says, the smirk widening. She hadn't registered their hands still joined until he gives hers a squeeze.

Then it registers. She looks down and appears...

Confused? Then it's gone when he speaks again.

"Oh, yeah! That reminds me. I gotta' go get some business done. Tell ya what- I'll get it sorted, and send ya a letter on when's a good time?"

[21:33] "Oho... Not even with my charming looks, eh?" Smiling, he watched as she noticed their hands still being held, and as quick as she noticed, she was as quick to forget. He learned something new today.

"Sure thing good luck with your business." Helping her stand up, he would throw his coat back on and walk with her.

"What'cha doin' this time?"

[21:35] Katrin, and her fantastically short attention span, snickers and snorts. "Not even," she remarks. Always grinning with the shallow points of those part-draconic teeth of hers.

She hops up from the stool, spritely, and starts for the door with the cadet in tow.

"Like I said, callin' in on a debt. Made somethin' and agreed to a payment plan, so now they gotta' pay up; I really should start lendin' out on credit, huh?"

A bit of teasing is included in there. Just perhaps.

[21:36] Katrin says, "Gotta' say...Os is a pretty city."
[21:37] Roland says, "Mhm. A lot better then Achyon, I mean they were more organized but..."
[21:37] Roland says, "I like this better."
[21:37] Katrin says, "Yeah. Achyon's got the metal, don't get me wrong. I like metal and all."
[21:37] Katrin says, "But the green's a nice change of pace."
[21:37] Roland nodded.

[21:39] Katrin says, "--Pfahaha. Nah, nah. You ain't earned that yet, big guy."
[21:39] Katrin says, "Cute of ya to try though."
[21:39] Katrin snickers again, reaching up to pat Roland's cheek.

[21:40] Roland says, "Damn... It was worth a shot. I'll get it next time then."
[21:40] Roland wrapped an arm around Kay, bringing her close into his embrace.

[21:41] Roland says, "Still didn't say I could try though."
[21:42] Katrin's expression, again, appears...confused. That's the best way to describe it. As if the feeling, the sensation, is unfamiliar or alien. But she reciprocates it, albeit stiffly.

She does return it though, turning it into a squeeze. That's how these work, right?

[21:42] Katrin says, "Huh? Nah."

[21:42] Roland says, "Tsk, tsk..."
[21:42] Roland says, "...Actually, I haven't had a girlfriend before either."
[21:43] Roland says, "Too busy bein' a weirdo."
