[23:45]  * Drilfi_Pythia uses the key on the door.
[23:46] <Mathmatt878> And, as if my magic, the glass panes move to the either side, granting access to the staircase behind it.

[23:46] <Mathmatt878> The droning shriek that echoed throughout the spire.
[23:47]  * Drilfi_Pythia winces, and looks at his companions one by one.

[23:53] <Mathmatt878> Behind the bed, on the opposite wall, is a painting of a grassy field. One you recognize from your vision of Saint Aleado versus the apocalypse.
[23:54]  * Drilfi_Pythia reaches out to touch the bear.
[23:55] <Mathmatt878> And the painting behind him begins to move.
[23:55] <Mathmatt878> In the distance of the painting, you see a small figure walking towards you.
[23:55] <Mathmatt878> It starts small, and gets bigger as it approaches.
[23:56] <Mathmatt878> Then you can make it out. It's the bear, asleep in front of you.
[23:57] <Drilfi_Pythia> "My, poor child."
[23:57]  * Drilfi_Pythia watches the figure approach, holding a comforting hand to the sleeping bear as he does.
[23:57] <Mathmatt878> The painting bear stares at you as you do so.
[23:58] <Mathmatt878> "YOU HAVE NO NEED TO COMFORT ME."
[23:58] <Mathmatt878> The painting and the sleeping bear speak in unison.

[00:18] <Dreamer> "My wildest dreams become reality, and in my dreams, I am a god."

[00:19]  * Dreamer smiles.

[00:27] <Mathmatt878> He is a judge, holding a gavel, looking down on Saint Aleado.

[00:28] <Drilfi_Pythia> "Saint Aleado."
[00:29] <Dreamer> "And how does a saint defeat a judge?"
[00:30] <Dreamer> "He saves the guilty."
[00:30] <Dreamer> "I CHOOSE the guilty."
[00:30]  * Drilfi_Pythia shakes his head.

[00:31] <Mathmatt878> And then, there is another twist. But this time, it is Aleado.
[00:31]  * Aleado takes the shape of a jury, staring back at the judge.

[00:33]  * Dreamer narrows his eyes, and smiles.
[00:33] <Dreamer> "Then show me what he can be."
[00:33] <Dreamer> "If you are the jury, I am the officer, enforcer of the law."
[00:34]  * Dreamer morphs into a police officer, complete in riot gear.
[00:34] <Drilfi_Pythia> "And, He, the innocent you are sworn to protect."
[00:35]  * Aleado morphs into a helpless child, looking up with compassionate eyes.
[00:35] <Dreamer> "Then I am the danger that the innocent fear."
[00:35]  * Dreamer morphs into a concept. Fear. Danger.
[00:37] <Drilfi_Pythia> "But, you are harmless to him."
[00:38] <Dreamer> "I am the concept of harm."
[00:38] <Dreamer> "What is he?"
[00:39]  * Drilfi_Pythia wraps protective arms around his child, whether he can physically touch him or not.
[00:39] <Drilfi_Pythia> "He, is Saint Aleado.  He, has stared up at a falling sky and stood his ground.  He, has held a line when everyone else in the world lay dying.  He, has saved those who nearly allowed him to die."
[00:40] <Drilfi_Pythia> "He, is Saint Aleado, The Fearless."
[00:40]  * Aleado changes into a concept. A lack of fear. The entire concept of bravery.
[00:40]  * Dreamer smiles.
[00:41] <Dreamer> "No matter how brave you are, that does not make you unstoppable."
[00:41] <Dreamer> "There are many ways to lose the oldest game. Failure of nerve, hesitation, being unable to shift into a defensive shape, a lack of imagination."
[00:42] <Dreamer> "I am the apocalypse. That which destroys the brave. That which ends universes. That which takes lives."
[00:42] <Mathmatt878> And then he changes into the image you saw from your vision.
[00:43] <Mathmatt878> The hulking shadow of the apocalypse, standing before Aleado, the concept of bravery.

[00:43] <Dreamer> "When the universe is over, what is left to stand before the end of days?"
[00:46]  * Drilfi_Pythia looks slowly between Saint Aleado and the Dreamer.

[01:02] <Mathmatt878> From the concept of bravery which fended off the fear.

[01:03] <Mathmatt878> From the saint who stood before the bear.
[01:04] <Mathmatt878> He becomes the Hope that appears after the apocalypse.
[01:04] <Mathmatt878> And the physical shape of this Hope.
[01:04] <Mathmatt878> Takes the form of a young burgundyblood, holding the line.
[01:05] <Mathmatt878> The dreamer is defeated, and his dreams are shattered. There is nothing he can become that can surpass Hope.
[01:07] <Mathmatt878> You appear alongside Saint Aleado, Risca, and Bear Buddy at the top of the spire. A square rooftop where each corner is donned by a giant music box, and in the center, a single bear with his eyes closed, and a smile on his face.

[01:09]  * Drilfi_Pythia puts an arm around Saint Aleado's shoulders and holds him close.
[01:09] <Drilfi_Pythia> "You, have done it."
[01:10]  * Aleado breathes heavily, eyes wide in shock of what just happened.
[01:10]  * Aleado nods.
[01:10] <Aleado> "Yeah..."
[01:10] <Aleado> "I did..."
[01:10] <Mathmatt878> He seems to be unable to believe it.
[01:11] <Drilfi_Pythia> "Saint Aleado, thank you."
[01:13]  * Aleado cannot find the words to respond to this.
[01:13] <Mathmatt878> All he can do is hug you as he begins to cry.
[01:14]  * Drilfi_Pythia holds the young saint for as long as he needs.  It's the least he can do after all the times Saint Aleado has saved him.

[01:16] <Mathmatt878> Behind you, you note that there is a return node conveniently placed to allow you to get home.

[01:23]  * Drilfi_Pythia nods slowly, and goes to the music boxes himself.

[01:59] <Mathmatt878> No longer suffering a Nightmare and a Daydream, he now only feels the effect of one.
[01:59] <Mathmatt878> The one where, while unconscious, seeks nothing more than chaos.
[01:59] <Mathmatt878> Your saint charges towards you, fists raised.
[02:01] <Mathmatt878> Do you respond in any specific way?

[02:02] <Mathmatt878> Then Aleado, the lowblood who saved you by almost killing himself, turns on you, and attacks.
[02:02] <Mathmatt878> Physically, he deals no damage to you.
[02:03] <Mathmatt878> All you feel is a great sorrow as the last remaining member of your original flock turns on you.
[02:04]  * Drilfi_Pythia thinks about sheep.
[02:04]  * Drilfi_Pythia returns to the music box, and turns it back on.
[02:05]  * Aleado stops.
[02:05] <Mathmatt878> His eyes flutter open, and he looks at you, wide-eyed.

[02:06] <Drilfi_Pythia> "I, made a mistake.  Again."

[02:06]  * Aleado is confused, but allows it.
[02:06] <Drilfi_Pythia> Music box back off.
