Decap

"Link! You have to cut off a stalfos's head to kill it!" Fanny shouted. She had fled to the ceiling above.

"Damn it. Could you be a bit quicker about telling me stuff like that?!" Link shouted.

He pulled his blade from the ribs of his foe and kicked its head off. The skull let out a hollow, dry sound as it clinked and clonked along the ground. The body, meanwhile, collapsed to the ground in a pile of bones.

Now was the time. Link drew his White Sword and summarily downed the second and third stalfos. With his final cut, he felled the fourth one before exhaustion had overcome him and he sat on the ground.
