  6. GEOGRAPHY/CLIMATE
  7.
  8. Malibor isn't the most pleasant place to live in. On top of the squalid conditions, its inhabitants live within a vast desert that expands from the edge of Kalimourne and into the eastern coast of Albrus. The heat always bakes the ground, with the summers long, and the winters short.
  9.
  10. Though not a geographical feature, it should be noted that the vast sands have swallowed several cities throughout the country's history, making it quite popular for archaeological dig sites. Spiraling towers have been found buried beneath mountains of sands, and the tale of 'the lost city' isn't exactly unique among Malibor; plenty of those are to be found.

  12. GOVERNMENT
  13.
  14. The Malibourne government is a feudal state, with baronies granted to handpicked nobleman. For the most part, there are usually 7 Barons found throughout the whole country, with King Emir ruling over both the capital city and his own slice of land at the harbor. Barons rule their slice of land until either they die, or until the King sees it fit to remove them for any reason.
  15.
  16. The King of Malibor is always made out to be the best person to the Malibourne; everyone is to pay respects to him, and any words against his will or insults headed his way is punishable by death. In short, the King is the one that will always rule and have a final say over the country, with his selected heir taking up the throne after his death. If no heir is to be found, the King usually selects one of his Barons.
  17.
  18.
  19. The Dwarves have their own government, but still pay respects to King Emir, detailed Below.

  21. KNOWN INHABITANTS
  22.
  23. Humans (Malibourne): The Ruling population of Malibor consists of the humans. For the Malibourne, there is no real middle class, with the peasants almost always living in squalid conditions unless they work directly under the roof of one of the baronies or nobles.
  24.
  25. Gnolls: Gnolls, or 'Hyena Men' have always been a problem in Malibor. These beast men live in different tribes found throughout the deserts, and are known to be exceptionally reclusive and hostile towards outsiders. Unfortunately, their tribes take to marauding any nearby settlements, and are easily able to overpower the average man through their sheer might and ferocity.
  26.
  27. Dwarves: The Dwarves of Malibor are a resourceful bunch, and are considered their own separate nation from the rest of Malibor. Known as Terradome, the Dwarves of Malibor live inside sprawling underground caves that are only accessed through special arcane entryways known only to those who have been trusted by the Dwarves. For the most part, the Dwarves respect King Emir as the leader of the country, but remain loyal to their own King;

  34. TRADITIONS/RELIGION
  35.
  36. Andrax: Disease is a common thing in Malibor. Things such as leprosy may strike small hamlets, leaving the peasantry to slowly wither off while the nobles ignore their plights. In desperation, they turn to Andrax to save them from their suffering, but are forced to spread their disease to others in exchange.
  37.
  38.
  39. Amelia/Xalon: The Two primary gods of Malibor are Xalon and Amelia; typically venerated alongside each other.
  40.
  41. Lamashtu: It is no secret that several gnolls and bandits have taken a liking to the Nightmare Queen herself; Lamashtu's worshipers are a frequent problem in Malibor, and her cult has only grown in power as time goes on.
