  17. - organization (how is the lecture organized?)
  18. ---
  19. DELTA p. 197 - Listen to the conversation and answer the question.
  20. not A - it’s about a class, not an organization
  21. yes B - A course reading list
  22. not C - political science, not physical science
  23. not D - the main topic is about the book list, not the program itself (also “summer school” usually means elementary school or high school, not a college program)
  24. ---
  25. Topic: what is the subject of the conversation or lecture?
  26. Main Idea: what does the person say about the topic?

  60. Essay 1 - Weak introduction means we have to read most of the essay to find out what options the writer is choosing between and what specific choice the writer makes.
  61. Essay 2 - Some incorrect wording and minor grammar mistakes. First reason isn’t well developed (examples aren’t about interest)
  62. Essay 3 - No sentence breaks and a number of grammar mistakes make this very difficult to follow.
  63. ---
  64. Homework: Email me about your other essay (kids doing work at home) to say what score you think it would get and why.
