  1. [02:19] Dillon Endore says, "Hello sir."
  2. [02:20] Dillon Endore asks, "Do you know where I can sell this stuff I've collected?"
  3.
  4. [02:21] The man points to the Essharan Merchant, "If it's logs and such, sell em to him. If it's herbs and what not, try to find a buyer for 'em."
  5. (Adrian Stouthand)
  6. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7. [02:23] Dillion looked at the merchant and slightly shook his head. "Not logs, but it's herbs, and ores, and some other random things I've found. Any idea where I could find a buyer?"
  8. (Dillon Endore)
  9.
  10. [02:25] Adrian Stouthand says, "Hmm.. Ores an' such eh? Copper you could sell right out to the merchant as well, or you could start trainin' in artifice."
  11. [02:25] Dillon Endore asks, "What does copper look like?"
  12. [02:25] Adrian Stouthand says, "Copper is this brown ore. It's one of the more common types of ore."
  13. [02:25] Dillon Endore asks, "What about the purple?"
  14. [02:26] Adrian Stouthand says, "The silver ore you've got is Iron. It can be processed into steel. The purple is Adamantine, which is used for armor.. though it's not very much in demand."
  15. [02:27] Dillon Endore asks, "This is my first time hearing about them, so they must be worst a whole lot?"
  16. [02:28] Adrian Stouthand says, "Aye. Each piece is worth quite a bit."
  17. [02:28] Adrian Stouthand says, "Fetching anywhere from two-hundred to five-hundred a piece in markets."
  18. 02:29] Adrian Stouthand says, "The mines in which they're located though is rather dangerous."
  19. [02:30] Dillon Endore says, "That's a lot of coins."
  20. [02:31] Dillon Endore says, "I should look for some."
  21. [02:31] Zachary Retinea says, "I've fourty thousand coin to my name."
  22. [02:31] Adrian Stouthand says, "Indeed so, you can probably ask some brave adventurers willing to take you to the mines."
  23. [02:31] Adrian Stouthand says, "Or you can train and get stronger to one day go yourself."
  24. [02:31] Adrian Stouthand says, "People often go in organized parties to gather ore."
  25. [02:32] Dillon Endore says, "No need to tell me twice..."
  26. [02:32] Dillon Endore says, "I see what are in the mines."
  27. [02:33] Adrian Stouthand asks, "Haha, so you've been into Silverwall then?"
  28. [02:35] Dillon Endore says, "Uh."
  29. [02:35] Dillon Endore says, "I think so."
  30. [02:36] Dillon Endore says, "There we're rock creatures and huge worms."
  31. [02:36] Dillon Endore says, "I had to run for my life."
  32. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "Nah nah."
  33. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "That was the quarry."
  34. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "Old minin' spot overtaken by monsters."
  35. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "Silverwall is up in the mountains."
  36. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "Filled with the Corrupters minions."
  37. [02:36] Adrian Stouthand says, "Demons of awful power."
  38. [02:37] Adrian Stouthand says, "The order leads many in to drive back their unending torrent of evil."
  39. [02:37] Adrian Stouthand says, "That is why it's so dangerous to obtain these materials."
  40. [02:38] Dillon Endore says, "Wow.."
  41. [02:38] Dillon Endore asks, "Wait, so if I get stong enough somebody would pay me to help then gather ore?"
  42. [02:38] Adrian Stouthand says, "Perhaps so."
  43. [02:42] Dillon Endore says, "I'll keep that in mind."
  44. [02:42] Dillon Endore says, "Now it makes me want to finish my studies even more."
  45. [02:42] Adrian Stouthand says, "Aye, those'll help quite a bit."
  46. [02:43] Dillon Endore says, "Speaking of."
  47. [02:43] Dillon Endore asks, "Do you know anything about earth magic or any advance form of it?"
  48. [02:44] Adrian Stouthand says, "Aye, I am a user of the art myself."
  49. [02:44] Adrian Stouthand says, "I am currently undergoing my own studies."
  50. [02:44] Dillon Endore exclaims, "I noticed the earth creatures were able to do wide range magic using not jsut rock, but the entire area around it....REALLY!"
  51. [02:44] Adrian Stouthand says, "Mhm."
  52. [02:44] Dillon Endore asks, "What are you studying?"
  53. [02:45] Dillon Endore asks, "What part of the earth element are you studying?"
  54. [02:45] Adrian Stouthand says, "I am learning to use and advanced form of earth magic, Sand magic."
  55. [02:45] Dillon Endore asks, "Sand magic? What's that?"
  56. [02:52] The man smiles, "Sand magic is what happens when you take earth magic and refine it to a higher point of control to manipulate each individual grain at once. It requires a higher form of concentration and a solid control over your mana." He spoke, picking a stone off the ground around the bench. An unremarkable thing for sure, but with a pinch between his fingers he was easily capable of seeking out the fissures inside as he had been instructed.
  57.
  58. Days of practicing how to control has mana had lead him to a finer sense of control over it. Something he could not obtain due to his lack of combat ability. With a slight bit of pressure, the rock began to crumble into sand and slip down through the boards of the bench. "My instructor is a fantastic sand magician, capable of doing this technique on the fly and during the heat of battle. She and her teacher from what I've heard, are far more proficient in the magic than I." he finished.
  59.
  60. "Though she's often busy, I do know another man who is very knowledgeable. He is the Knight known as Eustace. He expresses complete mastery over this form of earth magic."
  61. (Adrian Stouthand)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [03:02] Dillion's eyes sparkled a little this might have been the different thing he wanted to get control of in the terms of earth magic, but he wasn't sure how to go about it.
  65. He took now of what the name told him about using each grain and how it takes higher concentration to use. This was foundation for the boy to search a little more into the topic of sand magic.
  66.
  67. "So, unlike the compressed clay earth bomb the sand is something different all together? It sounds like you need to keep focus at all times if you want to use a magic like that, right?
  68.
  69. Assuming others are can use sand magic, are there any other kinds of earth magic that come from basic attunement of earth magic?"
  70.
  71. Dillion kept his little note book out hoping he could gain a little more information on the earth tone sisters magics.
  72. The boy offered the man a smile and almost forgot to ask him.
  73.
  74. "Who is your teacher?"
  75. (Dillon Endore)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [03:03] Quincy Saltpetre exclaims, "I am!"
  79. [03:07] Adrian nodded, "Aye there are many forms of earth magic you can learn. Metal, Bone, Nature, and Crystal are all the other forms." He spoke. Dusting his hands of the loose grains of sand that clung to them he noted the boy's excitement.
  80.
  81. Giving a smile to the kid he spoke up once more, "My teacher's name is Ita, she's a resident of Sudbury, like I was."
  82.
  83. "Each earth magic tree has it's core attribute to learn from, I believe. I can offer you some other names for those as well. Though I do lack a person capable of using crystal magic in my contacts."
  84. (Adrian Stouthand)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [03:17] Dillion nodes while taking more notes. "Bone...., metal...? What's the bone magic all about? it sounds simple yet very hard to understand at the same time..."
  88.
  89. Dillion paused and shook his head.
  90.
  91. "No sorry the goal is sand magic, and what else can you tell me about the magic? Also if you don't mind can you tell me what your teacher looks like so I can seek her on my free time?"
  92.
  93. Dillion smiles at the mane hoping he give me at least a little more information on the topic.
  94. (Dillon Endore)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [03:23] Adrian gave the boy a smile, "Sorry mate, I'm terrible about describing people." he said, "All I remember about her is that she had dark hair and dark clothes." He laughed a bit, "I know, it don't help none with how I described her." he finished.
  98.
  99. With a hum, he thought about it for a moment, "As for tellin' you about the magic.. Hm.. The first step I was talk to do was to try and turn the ground around me into sand by usin' my mana to seek out the fine little cracks in fissures in the stone, mud, and dirt." He finished.
  100.
  101. "It's a lot more difficult than it sounds.. but the ground in the pit by Sudbury is quite soft that it wasn't as hard to get started on."
  102. (Adrian Stouthand)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [03:29] Dillion couldn't help but chuckle at the mans comment "You're very helpful heheh, but I know what you mean I'll have to be careful about going around asking people are they a sandmancer. You've given me a good starting point, but I don't think my family wants me to travel out that far."
  106.
  107. He'd think of some way to get practice with sand magic, but where could he go at the moment..?
  108.
  109. "Is it possible with enough practice I can make any part of the earth sand? Like uh..., dirt, and whatever else comes from the earth."
  110.
  111. Dillion had an idea, but it would only work if his theory was correct about sand magic and such.
  112. (Dillon Endore)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [03:37] Answering with a nod, "Aye, such a manner is possible, but much more difficult to pull off." He said. Conjuring up a ball of earth from his own mana, seemingly from the ether. He gripped the wad of earth tightly in his palm channeling the mana into it like the stone, "Unlike the stone or loose pieces of dried mud in Sudbury.. These clumps of dirt have much more cracks and chasms to navigate. It requires a much more fine control over your mana than most substances."
  116.
  117. He hummed, using his mana to at first make the ball of earth tremble slowly in his hand. Watching it contently great apart slowly into smaller and smaller pieces until it had drifted off into the breeze into fine pieces of sand. He huffed a bit as he was not quite trained well enough to convert such a substance into sand in a quick manner. Even converting the ball of earth was quite taxing to him. "Hm. Even at my strength it still takes quite some time to do this.. I should work on that.."
  118. (Adrian Stouthand)
  119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  120.
  121. [03:44] Dillion takes a few more notes on what the man said "So, it can be used everywhere, but it drain your mana heavily. It means a person using this magic would have to train their body in a way that it have enough mana to maintain such high powered spells."
  122.
  123. Dillion turned the page of his notes.
  124.
  125. "Anything that is being touch by the earth or is a raw material can be broken down into sand, right? But because it's a now process a person would need high mana reserves."
  126.
  127. Dillion think he understood where this was going, but hopefully he wasn't too far from the mark from the basic information he's collected.
  128.
  129. "Please correct me if I'm wrong."
  130. (Dillon Endore)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [03:52] thinking for a moment, he scratched his chin, "At the start, perhaps. As you gain a better control over the ability to channel your mana out from your body, I'm sure the less it takes to actually convert things to sand." He spoke.
  134.
  135. "It's just a matter of how long it takes to finally fish your way through the substance. The more complex or the further away from stone an object is, the more taxing it could be to convert it as such." He spoke, looking at the scatter of the fine grains about him, realizing he had made quite a mess. He frowned a bit and began dusting up the area around him. "Seems I've made a mess again.. Hm."
  136.
  137. Looking back to Dillon, "Though, we're approaching the point where I'm rather uncertain of how the finer mechanics of the conversion works." he spoke.
  138. (Adrian Stouthand)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [03:53] * You have been awarded 6 Roleplay Points! *
  142. [03:58] Dillion smiles while nodding at the man. "Well, you've still given me quite the foundation to follow in term of trying to learn sand magic. I'll admit it does sound quite hard, but anything is possible with a little practice. I'll ask around the city for more people that might know or if another person has learned any advance earth magic.
  143.
  144. The moment I find something out I'll be sure to tell you about it if you have an question in the future.
  145.
  146. You've given me a goal know, and it's part of my knowledge in trying to become the greatest earth mage of all time!"
  147.
  148. Dillion spins around in a child before falling on his butt follow by the young boy laughing again.
  149.
  150. "It must be fate we met here, and I'm glad I came to ask you about some herb hahah, who would have thought it would lead to this conversation?"
  151. (Dillon Endore)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153. [04:16] The older man simply gave him a wide smile, "Aye, talkin' with you gave me a lot to reflect on. It'll do a whole lot for me to learn on it." He spoke. Adrian stood up from the bench, and helped the young man up from the ground. "I do wish you well on your journey, such we both walk the same path now." He said.
  154.
  155. After lifting the kid up, he stretched his arms and yawned, "I do believe it is time to retire for the night." He said, "Do seek me out when you learn something new and we can reflect on the studies."
  156. (Adrian Stouthand)
  157. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  158.
  159. [04:20] Dillion accepted help from the man still laughing like a little silly kid "I think I should get home and see if anyone is there too. You've help me a lot and I really want to thank you for it! I'm sure out paths will cross again soon, and until then I hope we both grow strong!"
  160.
  161. Dillion smiled again and ran off towards the direction of his home; hopefully his family members were awake this time. If not he'd probably sneak out and try to find more ore or practice with the little knowledge he had with sand magic.
  162.
  163. "Until next time Friend, and my name is Dillion if I didn't say so before."
  164. (Dillon Endore)
  165. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  166.
  167. [04:20] Adrian Stouthand says, "Adrian. Good t'meet you."
  168. [04:21] Dillon Endore says, "Nice to meet you as well."
  169. [04:22] Adrian Stouthand says, "Alright, I'm outta here."
  170. [04:23] Adrian Stouthand says, "Have a good one, lad."
