DOPPLERALYPSE: THE STUDENT COUNSELORING.

<Doppler>: A few days have passed since the defeat of Babylon. Everybody has since returned home and gotten a fair rest, but the most surprising recovery was that of Tony's. While still suffering from the effects of malnourishment, extreme injury, and psychological shock through the miracles of 2020's science and mutant power he has come back on his feet...
<Doppler>: ... and has returned to the school for short amounts of time between medical attention. The very first and most important part of his reintegration into the school, especially after being part of a vowed villain of the S-Men, is of course... counseling.
<Doppler>: Theodore Honda waits in his office doing... well, what he normally would do. Just what that is we shall see...

HabeusKaiju is dusting off his photo of him and his dad catching a fish last year, the last of his duties of his weekly clean up of the office. After finishing, he stands back, to admire his handiwork, of a working environment, spic and span
<Doppler>: There is a knock at the door.
HabeusKaiju dust himelf off, and sits in his chair
<HabeusKaiju>: come in!
Doppler opens the door timidly, stepping inside. First thing of notice he still looks like skin and bones, the parts of him that is visible anyhow. He wears a rather baggy hoodie and track pants to hide that fact. Even without his augments he seems to retain that scar on his cheek, mixing with his tired expression making him look absolutely worn out.
<Doppler>: "Hey Mister, uh, Honda" he said rather quietly as he took a seat. His movements were rather rickety and weak, almost on the verge of collapse.
<HabeusKaiju>: Hey, toooooooony, how ya doing...champ?
<Doppler>: "...Well?" Sure as hell didn't sound enthusiastic. "I was told to come down here before anything else. Haven't even seen my room in a week"
<HabeusKaiju>: We jsut need to run some...psych evaluations, see if you are up to par. making sure you are okay, alright?
HabeusKaiju opens his drawer, and pulls out the candy bowl, this time with gummy worms. He also passes Doppler Mr. Pilly 3.0
<Doppler>: "Alright. I guess I can't expect them to trust me all too well after trying to eat the world" Was that humor? It was so dry and quiet one couldn't really tell. There does seem to be a new spark when he sees the gummy worms though, taking a handfull and stuffing his face as he held Mr. Pilly 3.0.
<HabeusKaiju>: Alright, just, the basic gauntlet of psych test, then, we'll do some one on one speaking, okay?
<HabeusKaiju>: "And, take as much worms as you like, They certainly don't catch any fish, so, kids are the next best thing" Hab says with a chuckle, "And, also, it's just Theo, if you want to, Tony"
<Doppler>: "Alright Mr Ho- err, Theo" His mouth was full of gummy worms as he spoke, but it was clear he retained some measure of control of his abilities as Theo could hear him clearly.
<HabeusKaiju>: Okay, how bout we try the tried but true method of....
HabeusKaiju pulls out sheets of paper
<HabeusKaiju>: Inkblot test?
<Doppler>: "...I don't know if that's psychologically relevant, but go ahead"
<HabeusKaiju>: Well, you were subject to the subjugation of a symbiote, Tony. It could have changed some aspects of your mental thinking.
Doppler nodded

<Doppler>: "....I see a face. Well, a shrouded face. I can see the lips and the nose and bits of the eyebrows but the rest is in the shadows. I can see a bit of the chin, it has a cleft"
HabeusKaiju nods, and jots this down on his notepad

<Doppler>: "A mask... its strange and twisted, but I can see two eye holes and a place for the nose to go through. Then there is an open spot for the mouth and jaw, and straps that go around the head to hold it in place. It looks as if its made of leather"

<Doppler>: "...That's a demon. I don't know how to describe it"

Doppler nods, taking another handfull of gummy worms and chewing them all in one go.

<Doppler>: [Too late I relapsed to evil]
<Doppler>: [also you said last one alright]

HabeusKaiju blast Doppler with a stream of electricity]
<HabeusKaiju>: alright, so, my image got through?]

Doppler looks visibly troubled

<Wrong_Way>: [they all look like deer, don't they doppler?]
<HabeusKaiju>: mark, get out of my drawers]
<Wrong_Way>: never]

<Doppler>: "...I see myself. W-Well, I mean, not literally. But... in the center there's some kind of strange monster, both of its hands are pointing out to what I can see as two lizard like beasts that are connected to him. In the center of it all there's somebody trapped below it. And... then when I look at it another way I see something else"
<HabeusKaiju>: Another way?

<Doppler>: "I see some kind of demonic insect. Or something. Like a frog. It has two sets of legs and the body of a beetle. There's horns coming from it and it has intricate designs down its back that mesh with the wings that come from it. Spores seem to be given off by it"
<Doppler>: "Its hard to describe, but its what comes to me when I see it"
<HabeusKaiju>: I don't quite follow, what do you mean, when you look at it another way?
<HabeusKaiju>: Is this related to your sound powers?

<Doppler>: "No. Maybe? Its... double thought? I can see both as if they were the first thing that came to me"
HabeusKaiju nods
<HabeusKaiju>: Alright, that's enough of that
HabeusKaiju pulls out another bowl, this time of banana chips, and pops them in front of Doppler
Doppler begins devouring those too as soon as he finishes the bowl of gummy worms

<HabeusKaiju>: Now, how 'bout word association? I'll say one word, and, you say the first word that comes to mind?
<Doppler>: "Go for it"

<HabeusKaiju>: Alright
<HabeusKaiju>: Sand
<Doppler>: "Desert"
<HabeusKaiju>: red
<Doppler>: "Blood?" He certainly doesn't like that this came first to his mind.
<HabeusKaiju>: crystal
<Doppler>: "...Frankie"
<HabeusKaiju>: Food
<Doppler>: "Want"

HabeusKaiju pops out a third bowl, laughing a little
<HabeusKaiju>: Sin
<Doppler>: "...Guilt"
Doppler is starts eating from the third bowl as well
<HabeusKaiju>: Wing
<Doppler>: "Escape"
<HabeusKaiju>: Sounds

Doppler opens his mouth to speak, but instead a completely intelligible sound comes out. It isn't natural, hell its almost entirely unique and alien.

<Flipside>: [It's... it's...]

<Doppler>: [I HAVE CHANNELED HIS POWER, MR HONDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA]
<Wrong_Way>: [woah is that the new nickelback album]

<HabeusKaiju>: ....
<HabeusKaiju>: Tony, are you okay? did you choke on a worm?
<Doppler>: "I am okay. I... said what first comes to mind when I hear the word sound. I can't really explain it"
<HabeusKaiju>: So...When I say sound you think of...can you repeat that?

Doppler does it again, exactly the same as he did before. The first time it was surprising, the second time it was just unnerving. Its not the kind of sound that ears were meant to hear.
HabeusKaiju rubs his ears, and winces a bit
<Doppler>: "...Hope that wasn't too strange"
<HabeusKaiju>: No, no, it's fine. It's how you feel

<HabeusKaiju>: So, that's it for that, how about you lie down, and we chat, okay?
Doppler nods quietly, getting up and his legs nearly giving out as he practically collapsed back into the lounging bed therapy thing.

HabeusKaiju sits next to him, and brings over the bowl
<HabeusKaiju>: You okay?
<HabeusKaiju>: you need to keep eating, regaining strength
<Doppler>: "Yes. I am just starved and my muscles are still... redeveloping"

<HabeusKaiju>: Alright...
<HabeusKaiju>: Now...How are you feeling?
<Doppler>: "...Bad. Its... a lot to think about, it makes my head hurt. How I got used and fed off of to make all that happen, how I hurt so many people, how they all could have died if my friends didn't save me, that my friends saved me at all...."

<Doppler>: "...And can I be honest a moment?"
<HabeusKaiju>: Of course. I promise you, this is between you and me
<Doppler>: "....It wasn't completely mind control. At first I mean"
<HabeusKaiju>: Hmm?

<Doppler>: "I liked becoming that monster. A lot. It made me feel like I had meaning, that I wouldn't be kicked around anymore, that I was going to finally do something with myself. It was all so invigorating to feel like something"
<Doppler>: "I thought I had finally taken control of my own destiny. The Brotherhood... they made me feel the same, but they still held me down. I was to be worthless until I proved otherwise, and even then I was merely just another one of their tools. They said I would change the world, but it wasn't until that... thing came by that I thought I'd have a say in how"
<Doppler>: "...I just ended up another tool. Still worthless"
<HabeusKaiju>: Woah, okay, listen, Tony. You aren't worthless, alright?

<HabeusKaiju>: You have a great, bright future ahead of you. I know, it must have been invigorating, wielding so much power, but, it would have hurt people. If you want to change the world, just...try to do it in positive ways. Ways that help you, and help others. But, if there is one thing, you are not, it is a tool, or a monster
<HabeusKaiju>: You're a smart, fun, nice kid, who, is too young to be thinking about changing the world and stuff. You need to go out, have some fun, and hang with friends, alright?
<HabeusKaiju>: When you get into your third yeard of school, then you worry, like I did
HabeusKaiju chuckles a bit

<Doppler>: "I really wish I could believe you, Mr. Honda. But... I can see what people say, I don't really have much choice but to get even a glimpse. I've grown up getting kicked around and told I'm just a runt, and I'll admit even here I know I'm a bit of a freak among freaks. Skyler even... well, in order to stop me he basically had to scream me down"
<Doppler>: "With how low I am"

<Doppler>: "And the only times I haven't felt this way is when I was the one with the reigns. It was dumb and bullying and possibly evil, but I knew I'd get respect somehow. I know that path is wrong, I won't go down it, but... I'm not left with much else. The only thing that has kept me sane is..."
<Doppler>: "I think it was the thought that they saved me. All the sacrifices that my friends who until then I didn't even knew cared for me to save me. I saw firsthand all the things Frankie did, she even went out by herself to handle things against orders"
<Doppler>: "Skyler, the s-men, just about everything that was done when it would have been easier to just kill me... Its also invigorating a bit"
<Doppler>: "Its new"

<Doppler>: "I know I'll still have the stigma for this, the guilt will probably haunt me my entire life that I was so weak willed to give in that easily. But it feels better that I matter as more than just a stool or an enemy"

<HabeusKaiju>: Of course you matter, Tony. You're a person, as much as I, or anyone else here. No matter what, there will always be people here, to help you out, and watch your back.
<HabeusKaiju>: And, beleieve me, you can choose any path you wish, as long as you put your mind to it.
<HabeusKaiju>: And, if you felt as down as you did, you should have come talk to me earlier

<Doppler>: "If I weren't forced to be here I don't think I'd have come, honestly. Its poor etiquette to be so open about these sorts of things most of the time." Theo can remember from his dossier how reserved and polite he is, usually silent to a fault.
<HabeusKaiju>: Poor etiquette?
<HabeusKaiju>: My boy, your in doors that will never leak the words you speak here
<HabeusKaiju>: It's okay to be open. If you bottle up, it'll spell bad things for you

<Doppler>: "I guess. I won't make a habit of this, I'd rather move ahead" Tony spoke softly
<HabeusKaiju>: A habit of what?
<HabeusKaiju>: talking?

Doppler makes that sound from earlier again
HabeusKaiju covers his ears, and winces again
<HabeusKaiju>: I'm sorry, I must have offended you....
<Doppler>: "No, no. Its fine. Just something I can't quite handle alongside everything else right now. That was on reflex, I'm sorry"
<HabeusKaiju>: Oh, alright
<HabeusKaiju>: So, it pressed a button you don't want pressed right now then?

<Reverb>: [>somewhere Reverb is angrily shouting to turn off Awad]
<Doppler>: [YOU KNOW YOU LOVE IT]

<Doppler>: "Oo" he nodded, slipping into his natural tongue for a second.
<HabeusKaiju>: Alright, just...if you don't want to talk to me, try talking to friends. You have two that seem to care about you deeply
<Doppler>: "I will. I'm sorry, I must come off as rude. There's just things I'd rather keep to myself for now. Don't have to do with what happened last week"
<Doppler>: "If that's fine, I mean"
<HabeusKaiju>: Oh, no, of course it is. You aren't being rude in the slightest. If anything, I was pressing the matter.

<HabeusKaiju>: So, is there anything else you want to talk about?
<Doppler>: "...Is it fine that there's still that bit of me that liked it? I know I am not doing /that/ again, but... its some kind of confidence. It makes me feel self assured and that I have something to me"
<Doppler>: "It was toying with me, but there had to be something there for it to even get that far"
<HabeusKaiju>: Listen, I use to have self esteem issues back in the day as well. Wasn't till I fought a giant monster, and wrecked a beach, did I feel so alive.
<HabeusKaiju>: I won't do it again, but....it's not wrong to feel good, in control. You feel remorse for your actions, and, won't stray onto that path again, so, it's all good

<Doppler>: "Its... a bit hard, y'know? I'm not the most masculine or the strongest or the smoothest around. I'm a short manlet really. So when I feel like I have something I feel a rush. Until now the only thing that ever made me feel like that were the promises of power. Now... I think I want to just have other people by my side"
<Doppler>: "I never even trusted people until... I mean I don't even know if I trust people now, but there's a spark in there"
<Doppler>: "I don't feel like I'm going to be antagonized or belittled. I've had friends before but they've all been casual friends, the kind of people you make dirty humor and occasionally hang out but give weird looks if you reveal your personal self"
<Doppler>: "Now I think that this hero thing and having people with me might be what gives me that confidence. Something positive, rather than negative"

<HabeusKaiju>: that....is excellent!
<HabeusKaiju>: Having people by your side is great
<HabeusKaiju>: I'm glad you feel this way, Tony
<Doppler>: "I still need to talk to them, I don't know how it'll go"
<HabeusKaiju>: They're your friends. I am sure, it'll go well

<Doppler>: "I will need some time to settle back in. See how people are holding up, deal with the underlying problems this caused. I... can you contact Otoki for me?"
<Doppler>: "I want to discuss something with him. Powers and such"
<Doppler>: "Not today, but an appointment I guess"

<HabeusKaiju>: Sure, I am sure they will be down to help
HabeusKaiju writes this down on his notepad
<Doppler>: "Thank you"
<Doppler>: "...Will I be let into the s-men again? After my powers are figured out. I don't have the augments anymore but... well, I need to find out, anyway"

<HabeusKaiju>: The rules for joining S-men is lenient, tony. A certain someone, who I will not name, helped lead a coup once, in a foreign country, and, my daughter was born into a family of crime. You just have to keep looking to the future.
<Doppler>: "So, Mr. Frank and Clara, right?"
<HabeusKaiju>: Well...yes
<HabeusKaiju>: And, look at them now
<HabeusKaiju>: One leads the S-Men, and one helped co-ordinate your rescue

<Doppler>: "I understand"
<HabeusKaiju>: So....Yeah. If you ever need to talk, you have plenty of people here, okay?
<Doppler>: "Nauunawaan ko" Tony nodded again
<HabeusKaiju>: Pardon?
<Doppler>: "Oh, er, I understand"
<Doppler>: "Apologies, I'm getting a bit lax with my language. I'm very tired"

<HabeusKaiju>: It's fine
<HabeusKaiju>: Go, get some rest, and, take these
HabeusKaiju tosses a bag of pretzels, and a water bottle at Doppler

Doppler takes them, resisting the urge to devour them on the spot
<HabeusKaiju>: So, you think that is good for today?
<Doppler>: "I also want to eat the planet but that's all for today" Tony is clearly too tired to successfully do this 'humor' thing.

HabeusKaiju laughs, a little nervous
<HabeusKaiju>: I'll try to speak to Otoki for you, alright?
<HabeusKaiju>: I'll seeya around, alright?

<Doppler>: "Thank you. I'll see you around, Mr. Honda" He gave a little bow, before he stretched his rather weakened body, heading to the door. After giving a wave he seemed to slink out silently without another word.
HabeusKaiju begins to write out his report, for his files, and gets ready for any other counselling required for the day
