  1. About Alignment Positions
  2. There's no real information about how to change your alignment on this wiki,
  3. so here there's going to be some information pertaining to that. The way it works is this:
  4. Making a LAW Choice = LAW [+X]
  5. Making a CHAOS Choice = CHAOS [+X]
  6.
  7. To figure out your current alignment, take your CHAOS points and subtract them from your LAW points. Any higher than 9, and you'll be LAW. Any lower than -9, and you'll be CHAOS.
  8.
  9. If you check every time you make a choice in-game, and add points appropriately, it should be easy to understand. (Though your own experience may differ)
  10.
  11. All choices lean to either CHAOS or LAW, and NEUTRAL choices are basically non-existent. Not only that, but CHAOS can go up to -100 and LAW can go up to +100, but NEUTRAL can only be between -8 and +8. So it's within an extremely narrow range.
  12.
  13. [For the sake of ease, text will follow an L/N/C abbreviation system]
  14.
  15. Some notes about the choices throughout the game:
  16. Shifting Alignments
  17. The battle with Issachar in Kiccigorgi
  18. If you finish the battle in two turns or less, you'll receive no changes.
  19. Beating the Minotaur
  20. Your choices mid-battle don't matter, but you get C+5.
  21. Finishing off Dullahan grants C+1, not doing so grants L+1.
  22. At the Black Samurai's question in the Ikebukuro bookstore "Could you live in Tokyo?"
  23. [I could manage it.] = C+1, [I could never.] = L+1, [I don't know.] = No Change
  24. This choice might be a slight issue. (?)
  25. In the battle with Tenkai
  26. The first question, "What sort of city is your ideal Tokyo?"
  27. [A peaceful city of order.] = L+1, [A wild city of freedom.] = C+1
  28. [One of both order and freedom.] = No change.
  29. Now, if your choices and current state match (i.e. currently at 0), then you will have to add 1 to something
  30. However, if you aren't, then you should go +1 in the opposite direction. For example, if you are currently leaning CHAOS or LAW then you should choose the opposite.
  31. At Tenkai's second question, [I'll reform it.] = C+1, [I'll sustain it.] = L+1, [I don't know.] = No change.
  32.
  33. Choosing a Route
  34. Going with Jonathan yields L+10, going with Walter yields C+10
  35.
  36. Jonathan's Route's Changes
  37. Defeating Lilith (Killing her?) = L+5
  38. At Walter's question at the Yamato Reactor
  39. [Completely.] = C+1, [Don't speak for me.] = L+5
  40.
  41. Walter's Route's Changes
  42. “Assassinate the weapons of national defense” (Koga-Saburou, Michizane, Omoikane) = C+3
  43. Tayama's question: [You'd march into a place that had it made and force them to change it all?]
  44. [I see no issue.] = C+1, [It is a bit vexing.] = L+5
  45. The battle with Yamato-Takeru has no effect, but pressing the button gives C+5, and you have no choice but to do so in order to proceed.
  46.
  47. Common Choices (both Jonathan and Walter)
  48. At the White Men's question: [Have you ever given thought to why humans are born?]
  49. [Yes, I have.] = C+1, [No, I haven't.] = No Change
  50.
  51. Walter's question inside the Shinjuku Shelter in Blasted Tokyo
  52. [Kill them before they kill us.] = No Change, [Let's wait and see...] = L+8
  53.
  54. Showing the DSP to Kiyoharu
  55. [Show him] = L+3, [Don't show him] = C+3
  56.
  57. Accepting the quest from Akira “The Accidental Messiah” = L+1
  58.
  59. Accepting the quest from the citizens in Blasted Shinjuku “Defeating the Demon” = L+5
  60.
  61. Walter's question in the battle with Pluto (includes an unavoidable C+5 for defeating Pluto)
  62. [Quite so.] = C+6, [It does bear consideration.] = C+4
  63.
  64. Pressing the switch at the Yamato Reactor in Ichigaya = C+5
  65.
  66. In Infernal Kasumigaseki, telling Akira where you're from
  67. [Tokyo] = L+5, [Eastern Kingdom of Mikado] = No Change
  68.
  69. Accepting the main quest from Akira “Shinjuku is Mine” = C+1
  70.
  71. Walter's question after the battle against 'Mahāmayuri' in Infernal Shinjuku
  72. [I'd like to go home.] = No Change, [I don't want to go back.] = C+5
  73.
  74. Walter's question at the Ichigaya SDF Camp: [It's strange, isn't it?]
  75. [It is strange.] = C+1, [It's not strange at all.] = L+5
  76.
  77. Before the Final Route Split
  78. [Preserve the status quo] = L+15, [Destroy the status quo] = C+5
  79. It may be that pressing the remote grants you L+5, so [Preservation] may as well be L+10, and [Destruction] may be C+10.
  80.
  81. N-Route Strategy - “Nothing but the top choice”
  82. In the original thread on 2ch, there was a strategy on how to get the NEUTRAL route, that we have verified. Please use this as a reference. If you aren't familiar with it already, it's built on 5 main principles:
  83. -Always pick the top choice
  84. -At the Passage of Ethics, always pick left (Chaos)
  85. -Go with Jonathan when you can
  86. -At the last route split, pick [Destroy the status quo]
  87. -Only complete main quests that are absolutely necessary (up until the route lock)
  88.
  89. Now, from the beginning you'll be at 0. After the first route split, if you pick every option and end up with C+1, that won't be sufficient. So, in that case you will have to go with [Eastern Kingdom of Mikado] when Akira asks where you're from. Other than that, always pick the top option.
  90.
  91. If you defeat Issachar in 2 turns or less, the choices for him in the battle won't appear.
  92. In that case, you'll have to be -5 just before the route split. All the top options will still be okay, though you can ignore the woman in Ikebukuro (though saying [Demon] is still okay) and still enter the NEUTRAL route. Saying [Demon] will give C+10.
  93.
  94. EXAMPLE (includes telling the lifeless woman in Ikebukuro that you are a Demon):
  95.
  96. [Extend your arm] during the gauntlet rite.
  97.
  98. [Possibly...] to Walter's question.
  99.
  100. [Introduce yourself] to Isabeau.
  101.
  102. [It is a worthy duty.] to Walter's question about being a samurai.
  103.
  104. Say you know Issachar.
  105.
  106. [Agree to end Issachar's suffering by your own hands]
  107.
  108. [We should.] in response to the monastery's quest.
  109.
  110. [I share your view of it.] to Jonathan's question about collecting relics.
  111.
  112. [The surface.] when Hikaru asks where you're from.
  113.
  114. [Spare Dullahan]
  115.
  116. [Do not kill Kuebiko]
  117.
  118. At the Black Samurai's question, say [I could manage it.], then arrest her.
  119.
  120. Say you want to join the Ring of Gaea.
  121.
  122. At the Passage of Ethics, go right, left, then right.
  123.
  124. In the battle with Tenkai, pick both Neutral options.
  125.
  126. Pick Jonathan's route.
  127.
  128. At Walter's question at the Yamato Reactor, say [Completely.]
  129.
  130. At the White's question, say [No, I haven't.]
  131.
  132. At Walter's question in Blasted Shinjuku, say [Kill them before they kill us.]
  133.
  134. Show Kiyoharu the DSP.
  135.
  136. During the battle with Pluto, say [Quite so.]
  137.
  138. Tell Akira you're from the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado.
  139.
  140. After the fight with Mahamayuri, say [I don't want to go back.]
  141.
  142. Tell Walter [It is strange.]
  143.
  144. Select [Destroy the status quo]
  145.
