'Princess willing to show me plans...'

I remember that she seemed very familiar with the technical and mechanical aspects of the designs, and could explain them in detail.

'There is a system of pipes, you see, that lead to a special chamber in the palace. Kitchen servants stand there with the drinks in flagons, and they pour them into the correct conduits, you see, when the time comes and the fountain is needed.' She traced the lines on the paper, showing me the complexity of the pipework with absolute familiarity.

'And do you see the silver fruits on the tree? They symbolise the fruits the drinks are made from. The Tree represents the cycles of nature that are so important to my people...' I recall, she was as keen to explain the meaning of the design, and to show me how mechanics and art worked in tandem with each other.
