  11. DARREN
  12. Look, Ryan. You have to work with
  13. me here. The boys up top can get
  14. you hard, pipe hitting medic. But
  15. you have to-
  16.
  17. RYAN
  18. We have medics here, why not one of
  19. them?
  20.
  21. DARREN
  22. Because they don't have the same
  23. level of training as your guys do.
  24.
  25. RYAN
  26. I don't want to have to teach
  27. someone that hasn't been in country
  28. our playbook here, I want someone
  29. who understands and has been
  30. through this enough to know what to
  31. do. You got any names or you want
  32. me to start asking the M.O.D. For
  33. help?
  34.
  35. DARREN
  36. I had a feeling you planned to ask
  37. that.
  38.
  39. Darren sighs.
  40.
  41. DARREN
  42. You Brits never make it easy for
  43. us, do you?
  44.
  45. Ryan grins.
  46.
  47. RYAN
  48. How do you think we felt about you
  49. in 1776?
  50.
  51. DARREN
  52. Based on your criteria, we found
  53. three people. One has never been
  54. outside the wire, the other one has
  55. a drinking problem the size of
  56. mars, and the other recently got
  57. himself killed.
  58.
  59. RYAN
  60. Let's go meet him.
  61.
  62. Darren points at a single barracks.
  63.
  64. DARREN
  65. After you, Ryan.
  66.
  67. Darren gives a forced grin to Ryan.
  68.
  69. The two go into a barracks. Muffled death metal blares inside
  70. it.
  71.
  72. A fighting ring is set up inside the barracks.
  73.
  74. A knocked out private is pulled out past the group. Another

  76.
  77. IND SOLDIER

  83. The winning soldier leaves.
  84.
  85. IND SOLDIER
  86. Up next! We have a new comer!
  87.
  88. The crowd boos at this. A disheveled and beat up Don comes
  89. in.
  90.
  91. RYAN
  92. What happened to him?
  93.
  94. DARREN
  95. They rigged the fight, beat him up
  96. the night before, but he thinks he
  97. can win.
  98.
  99. RYAN
  100. I like his optimism.
  101.
  102. IND SOLDIER
  103. Specialist Paulsen VERSUS! Our
  104. Curbstomper Specialist WILSON!
  105.

  120.
  121. RYAN
  122. Go ahead, by the time the MPs get

  124.
  125. DARREN
  126. Okay.
  127.
  128. Darren watches Wilson take a swing at Don. Don backs away and

  137.
  138. DARREN

  140.
  141. RYAN
  142. Too crowded.
  143.
  144. Ryan takes out a pack of cigarettes and smokes one.
  145.
  146. A squad of MPs runs into the barracks. Don is dragged out, he
  147. looks beat up and bloody.
  148.
  149. Darren walks over to the MP.
  150.
  151. DARREN
  152. Staff Sergeant. This one.
  153.

  173. An IFAK sits in front of him.
  174.
  175. Don wakes up.

  193. His drinking problem took more

  195.
  196. RYAN
  197. I'll take him. He's been around
  198. these parts before.
  199.

  252. proposing?
  253.
  254. DARREN
  255. A bump in pay, classified
