  1. >Be Adagio
  2.
  3. >Looking out the window you couldn't tell what had changed more, the environment or life itself
  4. >You never really paid attention to the subtle changes that arrived with each season
  5. >But now that you were no longer chasing power you are finally able to sit back, relax and enjoy such a rare view
  6. >The town had been covered in a blanket of snow that was as captivating as it were miraculous
  7. >The blanket spread out as far as you could see, covering countless buildings, hills and even the countless post lights and poles
  8. >Yet it looked as if it were just a smooth pure white sheet that drape over everything, It was very bizarre
  9. >Even in the winter snow wasn't a common occurrence in this region
  10. >You'd be damned if you allowed yourself to be trapped inside during your first real winter
  11. >It was settled, turning your head you yell
  12.
  13. "Girls! We're heading out!"
  14.
  15. >Sonata
  16.
  17. >You hadn't left the house since before it began snowing last night, and did it snow
  18. >This being your first experience with snow you were in for a treat
  19. >Taking your first step outside you heard-
  20. >No
  21. >You 'felt' the snow crunch beneath your feet
  22. >It was extremely quiet out today, no animals or cars to be heard
  23. >Only silence
  24. >Not a sound, other than the crunching of the snow
  25. >With each consecutive step you couldn't wait to hear the next one
  26. >The pause between each step slowly became shorter until they were nonexistent
  27. >It was truly an invigorating sound
  28. >It really got the heart pumping
  29. >And the blood running
  30. >Turning back you see you'd put quite the distance between you and your companions
  31. >You couldn't help but laugh and wave to them
  32. >Even from here you could see Adagio's attention drifting from here to there
  33. >Aria even seemed to be enjoying herself, well as much as Aria could enjoy a walk anyway
  34. >Turning back you decide to go ahead and keep walking
  35. >They would just have to meet you there
  36. >Taking your next step you awaited the anticipated sound
  37.
  38. >The day hasn't even begun and it was already off to a magnificent start
  39.
  40. >Aria
  41.
  42. >So this was winter
  43. >You couldn't help but be genuinely curious
  44. >It wasn't as bad as you initially thought it'd be
  45. >Sure you would rather be home but this isn't a disaster by any means
  46. >It was quiet
  47. >But more so than that
  48.
  49. >It was calm
  50. >Before the destruction of the amulets you had to deal with constant shouting in one form or another
  51. >This was your chance at a completely calm day, no cars or bustle that you'd of dealt with on a normal day
  52. >The snow had been very unexpected, even the forecast had it wrong
  53. >Because of this you wouldn't have to work today
  54. >You had been designated to deliver orders from the local pizzeria
  55. >The manager would always pester you with the same saying
  56. >"You should smile more, it would surely help you receive tips"
  57. >Needless to say you didn't receive many tips
  58. >Regardless this wasn't the time nor place to rethink your job choice
  59.
  60. >Winter really was a spectacle to behold
  61. >The sky was a lighter shade of blue than you'd ever seen it
  62. >There wasn't a cloud in the sky, allowing the sun to shine down and seemingly reflect from the snow itself
  63. >With not much on the agenda aside from buying winter gear today actually looked somewhat
  64.
  65. >Promising
  66.
  67. >Adagio
  68.
  69. >Before long you meet with Sonata at the store
  70. "We are only here to pick up general gear let's try not to take to l-"
  71. >Someone was tapping your shoulder
  72. >Turning you see it is a man wearing ragged clothing and a scarf
  73. >"Spare some change?"
  74. >Aria was quick to dismiss him
  75. >"Let's go already, stop wasting time."
  76. >You also ignore the man, walking into the store
  77. >You peek back to see Sonata handing the man a dollar before rushing to catch up
  78. >Less than an hour later the shopping had ended and you were leaving and the man was still outside, pacing the road
  79. >He waved, a smile occupying his face
  80.
  81. >The three of you had only been walking a good three minutes when you felt someone drape their arm around your shoulder
  82. >"Evening friends!"
  83. >Accompanying these words was an affectionate and rather overbearing squeeze
  84. >It was him again
  85. >You turn and quickly grabbed him by the scarf, Aria had reacted in a very similar way both of you raising a fist
  86. >Quickly releasing his grip he raises his arms but the smile never leaves his face
  87. >"Ladies please, let's be reasonable here."
  88. >Shoving him back he loses his balance
  89. >The smile holding strong
  90. >It was really annoying
  91. "Bug off or that smile of yours will be missing more than a couple teeth."
  92. >Even as you began walking you could hear him following behind you
  93. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
  94. >He crosses his arms
  95. >"Now that is no way to speak to a friend."
  96. >He was doing nothing more than wasting time at this point
  97. >You turn and begin walking again
  98. >"Happy Holidays!"
  99. >Would he ever give up?
  100. >Your curiosity gets the better of you and you find yourself peeking back
  101. >He was gone
  102.
  103. >Sonata
  104.
  105. >Dropping your bags and closing the door to your room the mans words echoed in your head
  106. "Holidays..."
  107. >Even after the countless years you've been banished to this world you never had a chance to celebrate any of the holidays
  108. >This was the first time you really would be able to celebrate one
  109. >But Aria and Adagio didn't seem like the type to be into holidays
  110. >You had to admit, since the amulets were gone things had become boring
  111. >"That is exactly what I was thinking!"
  112. >You jumped, startled by the voice behind you
  113. >Turning you see the man from before
  114. "What are y-"
  115. >"No no no keep going, I want to hear more about how terrible life is without power."
  116. >You hadn't been thinking out-loud again had you?
  117. >"Oh no you're fine."
  118. >He lay stomach flat across your bed, head propped on his hands and feet treading through the air
  119. "A-Are those my pink slippers?"
  120. >Tilting his head back he grinned
  121. >"Oh these? They are absolutely divine."
  122. >For a moment he looks dumbfounded before the smile returns to his face
  123. >"Did I say that, I really need to stop talking to Rarity. Anyways are you going to finish that story or am I wasting my time?"
  124. >You are at a loss for words
  125. >A moment passes before his trademark smile slowly becomes a frown before he removes the slippers and stands up
  126. >"Even Applejack was more interesting than that story."
  127. >Walking passed you he handed you your slippers
  128. >They were very warm and drenched in what you could only assume was sweat causing you to immediately drop them
  129. "What did you do to them!?"
  130. >"Come on, my feet are not that bad!"
  131. >Opening the door he left and you awaited the sounds of a surprised Adagio and Aria
  132. "Three..."
  133. "Two.."
  134. "One"
