Midway through the argument, Ezio had gotten to his feet. He found that he was between the two, not a particularly good place to be when two Interferences were on the brink of fighting. The fight would be not be necessary, seeing as how the entire situation was a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding on the basis of profiling one assassin based on another world's view of assassins, but still a misunderstanding.

Ezio glanced at Spencer with an expression of what seemed to be... amusement? The Spencer he knew before wouldn't have been this assertive, it wasn't a bad thing so to speak, just unusual. "You are right, Spencer. Though I am sure you are aware of a key flaw in all of us: We are quick to judge others based on what we were raised to believe, or what we have seen. This woman was likely taught that all assassins are nothing more than lawless mercenaries. She might have seen her world's assassins do horrible, heinous acts that crystalized her views of them into a generalized opinion. The probabilities are endless, and I am sure they are justified. Yes, I know that this has made her narrow minded, but one cannot condemn ignorance." Then he faced Legode. "Do not mistake this explanation as a pardon for your actions. You might have been right about me, but you could have easily been wrong. If you had killed me, it would have been over a petty misconception about my character judged purely on my profession. You were acting on emotion, not rational thought, and actions such as this [i]will[/i] hold consequences when you make a mistake that harms you or others."

Crossing him arms, Ezio stared Legode in the eyes, his expression blank and unreadable. He waited on a response from Legode, and was going to judge his actions based on that response.
