gushing_gran: heres a really nifty idea i came up with, a really good way to use energy

[10:18 AM] gushing_gran: basically they learned how to controll their pulse, used it to sense the energy in and around themselves, and that was it
[10:18 AM] gushing_gran: they could controll massive pools of power, but it was simple
[10:20 AM] gushing_gran: it tooks years to even get there, and that was IF you had an affinity for controlling energy combined with being born into a powerful race that were naturally born with high amounts of pure energy in theri bodies

[10:20 AM] gushing_gran: but, as technology grew and things were discovered, controlling energy became a science
[10:21 AM] gushing_gran: you see, there are two major races that dan interacts with
[10:22 AM] gushing_gran: very, very early in the cannon universe i made up, there was one race that was like the one i just mentioned named bellatorians
[10:23 AM] gushing_gran: powerful creatures, human-like, naturally born with high pools of energy to draw from and since they were super-human in strength, they had sizable pulses to control it with
[10:24 AM] gushing_gran: but, their accomplishments intellectually were different
[10:24 AM] gushing_gran: their advances had everything to do with furthering the control of energy
[10:24 AM] gushing_gran: not too many societal advancements
[10:25 AM] gushing_gran: they were strong, so just killed alot of stuff and didnt really give many shits about agriculture or architecture at first
[10:26 AM] gushing_gran: they made pretty good advancements in philosophy, psychology, and biology over time but it was only to understand energy better
[10:26 AM] gushing_gran: since controlling energy is based on a chemical reaction
[10:26 AM] gushing_gran: which can be vastly affected by the brain and emotions
[10:28 AM] gushing_gran: energy was so useful, many of the things we have accepted as advanced technology could be replaced by just using energy in a bunch of complex ways, which completely eliminated the need for it
[10:29 AM] gushing_gran: when the bellatorians discovered that the stars they saw in the sky were places, they didnt build the necessary advances in technology to make a rocket
gushing_gran: they just gathered their strongest energy users and they just flew there in a massive bubble of energy, which protected them
[10:31 AM] gushing_gran: their advancements in energy allowed them to create one thing they hailed as the most technologically advanced thing in the universe however
[10:32 AM] gushing_gran: with their knowledge of biology and chemistry, all the smart energy users developed stationary objects that were basically living, organic super computers
[10:33 AM] gushing_gran: and what do all living beings created have
[10:33 AM] gushing_gran: a pulse.
[10:34 AM] gushing_gran: that right, they made artificial beings for the express reason to have brains they could control in order to test the limitations of energy and come up with new ways to use it
[10:34 AM] gushing_gran: but they modeled the brains of the artificial pulses after themselves, so they had complex emotions
[10:35 AM] gushing_gran: which brings about a wholllllle other shitstorm of stuff ill get into later
[10:36 AM] gushing_gran: ok back to this concept, brains are computers, replacing binary with chemical reactions
[10:37 AM] gushing_gran: it was super difficult for the bellatorians to learn how to use energy, and by extension, magic, which i will get into later

[10:39 AM] gushing_gran: booleans, binary, all that other stuff
[10:40 AM] gushing_gran: how do the brains we are used to having remember stuff
[10:40 AM] gushing_gran: memories, genetics, all that other stuff

gushing_gran: that memory, those emotions, hold information, in more loose, organic way albeit, but almost the same way a computer does

[10:44 AM] gushing_gran: put stuff in a code line, each line is a byte which controll a binary state

[10:47 AM] gushing_gran: neurons are fired in reaction to stimuli, and it is recorded using the chemistry of the brain
[10:47 AM] gushing_gran: now, at first, only basic energy could be used
[10:48 AM] gushing_gran: but after a while the bellatorians realized the things around them (fire, electricity) were energy too, but not pure
[10:49 AM] gushing_gran: pure energy was just a thing to them, so simple
[10:50 AM] gushing_gran: but they found out that those things happening around them were chemical reactions
[10:50 AM] gushing_gran: and that the process by which they artificially control their energy was too, in fact, due to a chemical reaction
[10:51 AM] gushing_gran: well, a few really important scientists who studied energy found this shit out
[10:51 AM] gushing_gran: and they were like "holy fuck this is huge"
[10:52 AM] gushing_gran: you see, like our culture, the people of this dimension were pretty religious
[10:53 AM] gushing_gran: they felt how good it was to use energy and constructed gods and demons to make sense of it all
[10:53 AM] gushing_gran: it ties into the stone that dan finds a bit too
[10:53 AM] gushing_gran: controlling energy was a very spiritual thing for them
[10:54 AM] gushing_gran: if you could control energy, you were the shit, you were closer to god
[10:54 AM] gushing_gran: obv, learning to use energy took a long time and was a big deal
[10:54 AM] gushing_gran: it required knowledge, intelligence
[10:55 AM] gushing_gran: and concentration
[10:55 AM] gushing_gran: and a scientific interpretation of energy to be able to apply it
[10:56 AM] gushing_gran: which eventually creates 2 factions
[10:57 AM] gushing_gran: a faction of religious monks who use learned how energy works but still things its some god given birth-right
[10:58 AM] gushing_gran: and a faction of scientists who dont really care about that and just want to expand their knowledge
[10:58 AM] gushing_gran: and fortunately dont wear fedoras
[10:59 AM] gushing_gran: controlling energy with a religious interpretation only gets you so far
[11:01 AM] gushing_gran: but with a scientific mind-frame, you eventually become able to do really cool shit like simulate nuclear fusion in the palm of your hand

[11:03 AM] gushing_gran: so scientists were able to concretely come to the decision that controlling energy was linked to science and biology
[11:04 AM] gushing_gran: (not gonna go there, basically the religious group respect what they have to say but basically explain it away with "herp derp, god made it that way"

[11:05 AM] gushing_gran: which eventually led to 2 extremely important discoveries
[11:05 AM] gushing_gran: them being able to create artificial pulses

[11:07 AM] gushing_gran: when they realized that the pulse was a chemical reaction
[11:07 AM] gushing_gran: they made more advancements in chemistry
[11:07 AM] gushing_gran: eventually leading up to their discovery of the elements, you know, the stuff on the periodic table

[11:08 AM] gushing_gran: these scientific advancements happened over a long time
[11:10 AM] gushing_gran: less focus on fighting and killing the shit out of the monsters that lived on their world, more focus on advancements of government and societal relations, and advancing technology

[11:12 AM] gushing_gran: basically, this knowledge of chemistry and interest in how the brain worked collided
[11:13 AM] gushing_gran: going back to what i learned before, controlling energy and having a nice sized pulse is really useful and can circumvent alot of conventional technologies
gushing_granny: ok, so the bellator scientists finally figured out, through advancements in chemistry and an increased interest in how the brain works, 2 extremely important things

[11:45 AM] gushing_granny: 2. it is controlled by part of the brain

[11:45 AM] gushing_granny: learning how to control energy was an arduous process, ive covered that
[11:47 AM] gushing_granny: bellatorians were looking for ways to circumvent this, magic wasnt enough

[11:49 AM] gushing_granny: the universe the bellatorians lives in has laws of physics that are relatively close to ours
[11:50 AM] gushing_granny: but the way energy works is different

[11:51 AM] gushing_granny: its just that there is more
[11:51 AM] gushing_granny: and more energy affects everything
[11:51 AM] gushing_granny: how things evolve

[11:55 AM] gushing_granny: but the universe the bellatorians come from had more energy in its big bang

[11:56 AM] gushing_granny: which means the chance that 2 planets that have sentient life forms that are close to each other is higher, which is important to the story because reasons

[11:57 AM] gushing_granny: and this isnt really scientifically accurate but more elements and stronger chemicals
gushing_granny: if you have more energy, the basic laws of physics become more unstable

[12:04 PM] gushing_granny: but in the universe where the bellatorians live, it breaks the laws of physics in different ways

[12:04 PM] gushing_granny: you dont have to create a massive ball of energy every time you want to break the laws of physics
[12:05 PM] gushing_granny: you just have to localize an amount of energy in a small space so it collapses on itself
[12:06 PM] gushing_granny: if you had a ball of electricity the size of....a few meters
[12:07 PM] gushing_granny: squishing that down to the size of a mitochondria extremely fast with your pulse, you would get some reality bending black holes

[12:07 PM] gushing_granny: shit, making a decent explanation for magic is hard
[12:08 PM] gushing_granny: when you break the laws of physics, weird stuff happens
[12:09 PM] gushing_granny: a disproportionate amount of energy is produced from the amount you put in
[12:10 PM] gushing_granny: the atomic structure of the type of energy you used in making the black hole gets drastically changed in the process
[12:12 PM] gushing_granny: with this, added to the proficiency of being able to control the shape of energy with the pulse, you can control this
[12:12 PM] gushing_granny: the energy produced from breaking the laws of physics is called dark energy/dark matter
[12:13 PM] gushing_granny: it is highly unstable, and requires intense concentration to control
[12:14 PM] gushing_granny: but when you do, you can do alot of crazy stuff

gushing_granny: so, dark energy

gushing_granny: when it is directed through the pulse and applied to and objects or energies, it alters that object/energy

gushing_granny: the bellatorians found out about magic much earlier than the advent of artificial pulses and the fact that the pulse was a chemical reaction

gushing_granny: basically it was a happy accident

gushing_granny: a very powerful warrior who also did tests with energy was seeing how energy responded to different gases

gushing_granny: he got bored, and wanted to see what would happen if he made the biggest mass of energy he could and altered its size

gushing_granny: he crushed it down to as small as he possibly could, as fast as he possibly could

gushing_granny: and boom, big ass explosion/reality bending black hole

gushing_granny: destroyed alot of shit, blah blah blah

gushing_granny: everybody was pissed at him, until they realized that it had created a new type of energy

gushing_granny: all the bullshit comes along with that, they learn to control it, test it, learn that they can combine it with certain gases to produce a dense metal

gushing_granny: which is important because it made their living areas better protected against monsters and other stuff

gushing_granny: also they started making vast cities that looked spiffy as fuck

gushing_granny: but thats a side point

gushing_granny: they combine it with fire, it gives them a fire like energy

gushing_granny: they absorb that energy and learn to control it, boom, pyromancy

gushing_granny: same shit with basically every other element you can think of

gushing_granny: so magic was basic at first

gushing_granny: create matter, create new types of elemental energies

gushing_granny: and it could be easily taught as an extrapolation of learning how to use energy

gushing_granny: the religious guys obviously thought it was god sending them new abilities for being so devoted

gushing_granny: even though it happened to a scientist that found it on accident ofc

gushing_granny: using magic was wayy more important than using basic energy

gushing_granny: it was important from a societal standpoint too

gushing_granny: some of the weaker bellatorians would learn how to use energy expressly to learn how to use magic expressly to learn how to make different types of metals for energysmithing (self-explanitory) and building houses and other buildings

gushing_granny: magic was found out way before all the advancements in chemistry, biology, and artificial pulses were created

gushing_granny: most advancements in technology for the sake of commercial development were basically advancements in magic

gushing_granny: because it was so easy and versatile to use

gushing_granny: if you learn to control energy well enough, you could cause a ball of energy the size of a beach ball to collapse on itself

gushing_granny: and all you have to do is condense your pulse around the explosion so it doesnt do damage to anything

gushing_granny: and it outputs a larger amount of energy than you put in

gushing_granny: so yeah? its the tits.

gushing_granny: using too much energy is bad

gushing_granny: the bellatorians found this out when 40% of their home world and 90% of their infrastructure disintegrated over the course of 2 weeks.

gushing_granny: since all the pros at using energy can sense energy really well, they could feel that the energies within the structures and their planet were quickly dispersing

gushing_granny: lets set up some ground rules so those scrub bellatardians wont have a good reason to spam magic ever again.

gushing_granny: they could tell that the amount of energy within all the materials they produced was unstable, but they didnt give a shit

gushing_granny: breaking the laws of physics just so you can create matter isnt going to go well

gushing_granny: and every thing that has a reaction, has an equal, opposite reaction

gushing_granny: you cant put in a beachball sized orb of energy and expect a massive spout of flame, or enough metal to build 3 houses without some drawbacks

gushing_granny: the bonds between energy are weakened when you break the laws of physics

gushing_granny: any thing altered by this process is corrupted

gushing_granny: the black hole the bellatorians produced absorbed all the energy bonds in the land around them

gushing_granny: when black holes naturally happen in their universe, the energy is meant to be quickly sucked in, spin around wildly around the epicenter, and disperse

gushing_granny: but with pulse, you can artificially bind and energy to a form

gushing_granny: after a while, the artificially bound energies lose all their bonds, becoming too unstable to hold themselves together

gushing_granny: and it disperses, no matter what.

gushing_granny: the corrupted, unstable matter could only hold its shape for a finite amount of time

gushing_granny: b-but, its not a big deal, all they gotta do is clean up and build more.

gushing_granny: not if it sucks all of the energy up around it and causes the surrounding land to disintegrate too.

gushing_granny: there, it is easier for energies to be consumed and absorbed by each other

gushing_granny: herp derp, the bellatorians are like, hooooooooooooly shit we are dumb

gushing_granny: the religious people always hated the overuse of magic, but for different reasons

gushing_granny: since it was god given, it was sacred and stuff

gushing_granny: good thing word gets around quickly that like half their world going poof and all their buildings getting rekt was due to magic

gushing_granny: their rejection and downright condemnation of magic doesnt sit too well with the religious monks

gushing_granny: and they think that god punished them for using magic in impure ways

gushing_granny: almost starts a civil war

gushing_granny: but it doesnt, because friendship and finding out how to make sure their race doesnt go extinict from lack of food

gushing_granny: evolution is accelerated in their universe

gushing_granny: with more types of chemicals, means more opportunities for genetics/evolution to strut its stuff with some crazy, fucked up creations

gushing_granny: also, its really easy for a species to become supercharged

gushing_granny: basically meaning they get many times more powerful than everything around them and dominate

gushing_granny: since evolution naturally favors them, they just get stronger and stronger

gushing_granny: now, there was another race on bellator

gushing_granny: (not the fuckers i was talking about earlier)

gushing_granny: they were about to be supercharged when the bellatorans showed up

gushing_granny: like, humans vs dinosaurs sort of

gushing_granny: big monsters with immense power and decent sized brains, even still they were mostly instinctual

gushing_granny: they fucking hated bellatorians to the core

gushing_granny: them and all the other monsters on bellator

gushing_granny: so basically, they tried to command monster armies to kill them off

gushing_granny: but the thing is, they didnt know how to use energy

gushing_granny: the vast majority

gushing_granny: the few that could, it was a fluke, and they used it without knowing it, meaning they had no way of teaching it to their kind

gushing_granny: be that as it may, they had immense strength and large pulses

gushing_granny: the more energy you have, the bigger it is, the thicker it is, and it acts as a barrier

gushing_granny: naturally making you more impervious to attacks

gushing_granny: it would normally get in the way if it got too big

gushing_granny: but if you learn to control it you can surpress it

gushing_granny: which is why planet busting gokus can feel pain by getting slapped by bulma.

gushing_granny: but you cant make buildings out of pure energy, takes too much time and it needs to constantly be fueled by someone

gushing_granny: which leads me back to everything i said before

gushing_granny: they drove the monsters to near extinction, killing most of them and harvesting their various, juicy meats

gushing_granny: their agriculture was pretty underdeveloped at the time

gushing_granny: basically this is like, stone age time but the humans are superhuman and can use energy

gushing_granny: it was purely pastoral, basically rounding up the monsters that had the best meat and making them have secks like rabbits so they could get at the bebbehs

gushing_granny: some monsters reproduced quicker than others and ate energy enriched dirt to survive so there weren't too many starvation problems

gushing_granny: but oh noes, suddenly 40% of your world is gone, including the part where you have the most energy enriched lands and where you export all your food from

gushing_granny: so yeah. fucked up stuff

gushing_granny: now, the monsters had been planning their revenge for a loooong time

gushing_granny: it all ties into this

gushing_granny: how are they going to win? im about to explain

gushing_granny: they knew they got stronger if they ate energy enriched plants and dirt

gushing_granny: so their plan was dumb and simple, go eat dirt, kill bellatorians

gushing_granny: they hid in the shadows, the bellatorians noticed that they stopped attacking as much, but didnt care

gushing_granny: they actually celebrated, the monks in particular because they thought it was god giving them more presents or something

gushing_granny: while consuming the corrupted earth, they themselves became corrupted with dark energy

gushing_granny: *while spying on the bellatorians

gushing_granny: it caused them to mutate and evolve rapidly, but also become unstable

gushing_granny: the most powerful of the monsters evolved so far and became so powerful he became able to use energy easily, almost subconsciously

gushing_granny: *most powerful of the monsters*

gushing_granny: his mind and the minds of his peers also evolved, making them many times more powerful over a short time

gushing_granny: they rejoiced, they may finally be able to take their revenge

gushing_granny: they knew where all the major bellatorian camps were since they had been spying on them

gushing_granny: they also knew that parts of the world with less energy enriched lands and less bellatorian camps=no transformed monsters

gushing_granny: they of course however, didnt know anything about dark energy

gushing_granny: but it was a lucky coincidence that they wanted the most energy rich lands near the bellotarian cities, which had the most energy enriched soil anyway

gushing_granny: blah blah blah, there is a big campaign organized by the king of the monsters to steal information and precious high energy objects from inside bellatorian cities

gushing_granny: they pick off mostly deserted settlements, kill everyone except for the scientists

gushing_granny: work their way up to small cities that are far away from the major ones

gushing_granny: stealing all the corrupted dirt and energy they could find

gushing_granny: and using the monsters that could fly to distribute them to the monsters, then after they evolve explain their plan

gushing_granny: another important thing that is directly related to what i was about to say

gushing_granny: scientists started to become a smaller and smaller force over time


gushing_granny: when they did find monsters, they would make sure the teams found only a small portion of them at first, they would fight until either the patrol team died or the group of monsters then, then the rest would act accordingly

gushing_granny: also, they made sure to capture and crudely insult and torture a couple of them

gushing_granny: you know, because they fucking hate bellatorians, so naturally

gushing_granny: the monster king had been trying to figure out how to use his powers, he had made some progress due to his intelligence, but was getting old

gushing_granny: a really big plot point happens now

gushing_granny: you see, scientists werent just rejected

gushing_granny: they were ridiculed

gushing_granny: by monks, the government, and regular people alike

gushing_granny: since magic was so accessible, and could be used more easily, the government had plans of cutting resources to the scientists completely

gushing_granny: hell, most of the classes that taught magic were at monk shrines

gushing_granny: all the scientists did was tinker around with the shit we use to make our buildings

gushing_granny: i mean, you cant blame them

gushing_granny: its like, for science class, the teacher tells you to study to chemical structure of concrete, or rebar

gushing_granny: and the next class

gushing_granny: and the next class

gushing_granny: and the next class

gushing_granny: literally all the teacher talks about

gushing_granny: and then hes spouting shit about how concrete is going to kill us all

gushing_granny: so yeah, scientists caught wind of this and were pissed

gushing_granny: also another thing, the religious monks are super devout, but are also very philosophical and understanding and nice, the only reason they condemn scientists is obviously because of their beliefs

gushing_granny: he request she utilize thought form to divine the location of the monsters

gushing_granny: thoughtform is basically the way to circumvent extremely complex techniques

gushing_granny: obviously using magic

gushing_granny: it can create contsructs of energy directly from the brain

gushing_granny: combine that shit with massive amount of dark energy

gushing_granny: and you can basically create anything from your memories, no matter how complex it is, no matter how long it took to create, it is molded by your memories

gushing_granny: it was used to pull of reality bending feats for convenience by high level monk clerics and scientists
