A smile ran across his features when presented with the quick hug. She dragged his name out which felt kind of silly, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.

He didn't really have a chance to say much as he was seemingly pushed over towards the large group. He decided to approach on his own accord even if the interaction was brief.

"Hmmm.."

He finally arrived and the group was met with a slight wave. The boy still needed to get used to these kinds of things, sadly he couldn't keep his face in a book all day.

"Ahem.."  "Hello there, I'm Waylan mer Joyau. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Hopefully it wasn't too loud or awkward for them with some many sets of eyes on a person it was a bit tense for him. He continued to maintain his composure.

These are a lot of people. Much more than what she had mentally prepared herself for- especially, with how all things are. Nevertheless though, she continues to fiddle with the crown of Roses atop of her head- her fingertips tracing lightly along the thorns, careful to not prick herself. "It's nice to meet with you guys...You all are gonna be my friends, yeah?" She adds while beginning to smile brightly. "I wanna change the world with you all...And I think-...I think that we're gonna be having a lot of fun in the future." After all...

Isn't that's what living is about?

"It's nice to meet you all, Yuri, Eliz...Roland." She'd add with a nod, watching how the words between Valencia and Roland escalate quite...fast. "V-Vale, you shouldn't say things like that...If he's as bad as you say, he might just...I dunno, punch you up." She shakes her head from left to right before continuing onward.

"Mmbuh….Anyways. What magic do you all got? And what are you all wanna be when you're older, huh? This includes you too, Waylan! Come, come! Closer!"

Eyes trailed over to the blue-haired youth who approached, Aeolus had took note of him for quite some time considering the similarity in hair color between the two, though it is once Waylan provides an introduction that the Azure Knight would raise a brow.

Waylan mer Joyau…?

A rather neutral-looking expression would be replaced with a slight frown. If it weren't for his failure many years ago, Del would still be alive today most likely.

"Ahh... you must be Del's kid.

It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Aeolus. Your mother taught be quite a bit when I was younger."

Athanoti would turn her head towards the Joyau, her facial expressions freezing as she shuts her eyes and lets out a large sigh.

"....-- ahh -- Del's kid. 'Ey 'dere. Names Athanoti." It still stung to say Del's name, even after it being so long since their passing, and with everything that's happened in her life recently.

The mention of the deceased mother continued tugging at his heart as much as he wanted to avoid it he couldn't. It would likely continue being brought up, but it didn't help each time and made him feel worse like some repressed emotions we're trying to escape from him.

"Right...Mother..."  he didn't fully expect this, but with each person coming towards the young lad he felt /overwhelmed/. He couldn't contain it much anymore, though a few sniffles and a few tears rolled down his cheek.

"It's...umm...it's nice to meet you all."

The attempt to contain these emotions failed; he figured his mother wouldn't want him to, but a public display felt terrible. He wiped his face and continued looking around...maybe they haven't noticed yet..? He could only hope.
