  1. Before you start:
  2.
  3. - I highly recommend that you slowly progress through the game, adding one animatronic at a time until you understand how to deal with them, all the way up to 49/20. Knowing how to manage power/temperature/music box is paramount.
  4. - Choose the FNaF 4 office (the fourth one). It's the brightest one.
  5. - Turn off "Visual Effects". It helps considerably with Funtime Chica, possibly others as well.
  6. - Using a stereo headset is essentialy mandatory to know where Ballora is coming from and whether it's Nightmare Fredbear/Nightmare that laughed. You can always close both doors at the same time, but power is so tight that I would not have survived if I had done this.
  7. - Make sure you have some free time and won't get interrupted during attempts.
  8.
  9.
  10.
  11. 1) The Start
  12.
  13. - Before the night starts, I position my left hand as such: pinky on 1, index on F, thumb on Space Bar. My mouse is on the bottom left corner to avoid Nightmarionne.
  14. - When the night starts, turn off the fan (Space Bar) and turn on the Power Generator (1), double click the wet floor sign, open the monitor, switch to the duct system, press F to block BB/JJ in case they appear, place the audio lure such that the left part of the circle touches the left intersection, press F to open the vent, switch to CAM 08 (Toy Freddy), (if Mr. Can-Do is blocking this camera, restart), close the door on Mr. Hugs, (get some Faz-Coins if there are any), switch to Cam 07 (Prize Corner), mash C in case Old Man Consequences pops up, (get some Faz-Coins if there are any), reset the ventilation, close the monitor, put on the mask (do it everytime you lower the monitor) then take it off, deal with Nightmare Fredbear/Nightmare if they appeared + Helpy + Nightmare BB + Nightmare Freddy. You should be done with all of this by around 0:09.5 - mash Enter in case an ad pops up.
  15.
  16.
  17. 2) The Money Grind
  18.
  19. - After doing all of that, get ready to grind up to 10 Faz-Coins (9 usually works too). Press S twice, mask + F + un-mask + F, click on Helpy if he appears, flash your light at Nightmare BB if he's up.
  20. - You can do this once (sometimes twice) before switching to the Global Music Box (5) – switch at around 0:13.0, then continue grinding Faz-Coins.
  21. - XOR MUST spawn at 0:11.0 or 0:21.0 – any later and my strat doesn't work. Restart if she doesn't appear by then.
  22. - Ballora sometimes appears at ~0:15.0 and ~0:30.0 and Afton sometimes appears at 0:30.0, watch out for them.
  23. - VERY RARELY Scrap Baby wakes up – shock her if she does.
  24.
  25.
  26. 3) The Death Coin
  27.
  28. - Make sure you have 10 Faz-Coins (9 usually works too) by 0:28.0, and prepare to deal with Ballora and Afton, as they can appear just before the 30 second mark. At 0:30.0, turn on the Heater (3) for 1.5-2 seconds, then the Power A/C (4), close the left door (A) and the front vent (W) open the monitor, switch to the duct system then switch back to the cam system (this gets rid of Phantom BB and Phantom Mangle), press F, buy the Death Coin (good luck with this if Mr Can-Do appears here =P), press F again, switch to CAM 06 (Funtime Foxy's Stage), Death Coin Funtime Foxy, reset the ventilation, (if Nightmare laughs, close the right door (D) on him then re-open it), wait for Plushtrap to scoot off, switch to CAM 02, lower the monitor.
  29. - 80% of the time, Toy Freddy will kill you before you can do all of the above. Such is life.
  30. - You want to do all of that before the timer hits 0:39.0, otherwise Rockstar Bonnie may appear. Even if he does, you still have a 12.5% chance of salvaging the run: if Foxy is on the table and the guitar is on CAM 02, continue the night; otherwise, just restart.
  31. - After doing all that, mask + un-mask to dodge Golden Freddy, open the left door (A) and front vent (W), switch to the Global Music Box (5), deal with the usual office animatronics (Scrap Baby is often awake here), check for Foxy on the table and deal with him if he's there.
  32. - It's likely you'll have only 1 or 2 Faz-Coins, maybe even 0, after doing all that, and Rockstar Freddy will almost certainly be asking for coins. You can use the heater, but Rockstar Freddy pretty much always gives you enough time to grind enough coins to pay him.
  33. - The rest of the night is the pretty much the same as 49/20, so just pray for good Foxy and Toy Freddy RNG.
  34.
  35.
  36. 4) Secret Animatronics
  37.
  38. - XOR spawns at 0:11.0, 0:21.0, 0:31.0, 0:41.0, etc.. For this strat, you need her to spawn at 0:11.0 or at 0:21.0 – restart if she doesn't. She will spawn the six secret animatronics in the following order: RWQFSFASXC, Plushtrap, Nightmare Chica, Bonnet, Minireenas, Lolbit.
  39. - RWQFSFASXC will almost always appear while you're grinding Faz-Coins – the only time where he doesn't is if XOR appears at 0:21.0 and you get really lucky with Faz-Coins. He stands right in front of Nightmare BB, making it harder to see if he's standing up – pay close attention!
  40. - Plushtrap sometimes kills you if XOR spawn at 0:11.0 and you're slow with the Heater -> Power A/C at the 30 second mark (usually due to Toy Chica/Toy Bonnie shenanigans).
  41. - Nightmare Chica is usually dealt with when you use the Power A/C from 0.32.0 to 0:39:0. If XOR spawns at 0:22.0 and you're fast, she may only show up after you switch to the Global Music Box at ~0:39.0 – if that happens, switch to the Power A/C until her teeth are off the screen, then switch back to the Global Music Box.
  42. - Bonnet is the only secret animatronic that doesn't only appear once. Boop her nose when she appears, but be careful with Nightmarionne, especially if the Minireenas are blocking your view.
  43. - The Minireenas make it really hard to see who's on the table, Phantom Freddy and Nightmare BB. Pay super close attention while these block your view.
  44. - Lolbit is super easy, just type L-O-L on your keyboard.
  45.
  46.
  47. 5) Practice, practice, practice
  48.
  49. - On my first day of attempts, I was really bad at grinding coins, I barely ever got enough coins before Plushtrap killed me.
  50. - On my second day of attempts, I had gotten the coin grinding down, but I was still really sloppy at the post-Death Coin phase, forgetting to open doors and to turn on the Global Music Box, etc.
  51. - My point is that 50/20 is not by any means easy or fair – it was designed to be impossible. It will require a lot of hours of research on how each animatronic works (for example, El Chip's ads, when they pop up, always pop up X:X0.0 – if you don't know this, you will sometimes open the camera to reset the ventilation and/or get Foxy off the table at X:X9.X and die because the ad covered the screen), and A TON of practice. And when you finally learn how to beat 50/20, you might run out of power before the end of the night, so you'll have to practice power conserving strats, like turning off the fan to use the flashlight/close doors. And once you do start using the advanced power conserving strats, you'll probably spend hours dying to Foxy/Toy Freddy/Rockstar Bonnie, or getting unlucky with Mr. Can-Do/XOR spawns, or getting trolled by Nightmarionne appearing right on top of Phone Guy/Bonnet, etc.. 50/20 is a very stressful and mentally draining challenge, but if you remain patient and keep at it, you'll feel immense satisfaction for completing it.
  52.
  53.
  54. 6) Is 50/20 much harder than 49/20?
  55.
  56. - Yes and no.
  57. - It's harder because: 1) More random (XOR spawn time, more time in camera = Toy Freddy kills you A LOT more often , etc.); 2) You are very tight on power, so you have to be very conservative throughout the night; 3) It is much more stressful, which can make you forget about Afton, Nightmarionne or the Global Music Box.
  58. - Apart from those factors, 50/20 isn't that much harder: the 7 new animatronics aren't that hard to deal with once you get used to them and neither is the coin grinding or death-coining process.
