Luna, Magical Creatures [spooky]

Luna had to pick them off. They were everywhere, they WENT everywhere. Luna could feel them pick their way through every last inch of her body. She felt them scratching their way around her flank and licking her pelt. Luna cried out in fear as they jumped up around her, they raked her chest and neck to punish her. They bit her hooves and kicked her side. Most unsettling was their gaze as they kept it transfixed on her face as she flailed about. It wasn't long before she fell and couldn't stand up again, their weight was too great as they flung themselves over each other her back. The ones that remained on the ground clawed at her eyes and mouth. Luna tried desperately to escape with her magic though they were gnawing through her horn. It was all in vain, there was no hope left for her, and she was doomed. The creatures moved back as the biggest of them waddled forward with a large rock. As it raised it above her head Luna saw the last bit of humanity vanish from his eyes. She had truly lost him...they had lost each other.
