1. I absolutely loathe Vriska as she's been interpreted by the fandom. She's a great character as a villain, sure, but as a protagonist, she's horrible. The fact that the fandom sweeps every bad thing she did under the carpet time after time sickens me. She murdered hundreds of trolls, including Aradia, and crippled two more in the worst of ways, taking their dreams and turning them against them. She used Terezi's lusus to coerce her into staring at the sun until her eyes fried. It's the troll equivalent of manipulating a mother into hurting their child.

She took Tavros's dreams of fairies and magic and threw the kid off a CLIFF. She emotionally abused and tormented him for months, and people SHIP THEM AS A LOVEY COUPLE. Fuck every person who has drawn or written them that way and perpetuated abuse. I've even had people go as far as to say 'well if she was a guy and he was a girl itd be one thing but chicks hurting people is hot' FUCK YOU.

Oh, sure, okay, she lost her arm and her eye. She lost them in response to stealing from a borderline deity and using that stolen cueball to hurt people. Did she learn her lesson? Nah, the first thing she did upon waking up from the explosion was lash out and blind her partner and friend. [S] Make Her Pay is one of my favorite updates because she completely deserved it. It's not like she didn't kill Aradia in the first place.

Now people are taking up Vriska/John, which is the same tune as Vriska/Tavros was. There is absolutely no way that relationship would be healthy, and it was stated in CANON that Vriska is incapable of properly loving somebody without wanting to hurt them. Do people really want to do that to John? What the did he do to deserve that???


2. I'm really just fed up with the trolls in general at this point. I think most of the current fandom jumped in as Hivebent was starting, and sometimes I wonder if they even read what came before it. I miss Jade, who hasn't had a line in what, four months? I miss being able to see the just kids be kids playing a dangerous game together without being crushed and torn apart under catty manipul8ion and HATELOVE and LOV3H4T3 and All Of These Unwanted Feelings and some fuckin feelins too maybe if thats wwhat they wwould be preferrin. No, just stop. Pushing blackrom onto the kids pisses me off, too. Stepping back out of Homestuck, there is no such thing as a kismesissitude for humans. We aren't wired that way. Trolls are, but humans are not. For the humans, the only thing I can see a sexual relationship based around hate becoming is flat-out rape.


3. I don't like how Andrew's been treating people via the forums, Formspring, and Twitter. This is probably the biggest 'wouldn't usually say' for me, because I'd be crucified by the fandom for putting down The Great Hussiah. However, there comes a point when you stop being confident and start being a tooly arrogant prick. Sure, some of your fans have been being little shits. I can see that. That doesn't mean you need to go 'Well if you don't like what I'm doing, I'll just do more! Ha ha ha ha ha. Hey fandom, Dave's an emotionless blond! I'm retconning the one page he ever smiled in! Suck it! Your opinions are meaningless because I AM RIGHT, AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Buy my merchandise, lemmings.'
