1-4- Takumu = Mayuzumi Takumu (Mayuzumi Takumu). An acquaintance of Haruyuki and Chiyuri since childhood. Currently attends a junior high school different from Haruyuki and company. A good-looking boy who takes part in the Kendo Club.

1-5- Araya (Araya) = A delinquent in Umesato Junior High. Regarded as the main bully harassing Haruyuki.

1-6- Neuro Linker = A mobile terminal that establishes a wireless quantum connection to the brain, supporting the five senses, such as sight and hearing.

1-7- Brain Burst = An application within the Neuro Linker that Kuroyukihime transferred to Haruyuki.

1-8- School's{or School-wide} Local Net = A local area network constructed within Umesato Junior High. Used for taking attendance and lessons, it became a need for students of Umesato Junior High to connect to it.

1-9- Global Connect = The act of connecting to the Global Net. As connecting to the Global Net is prohibited within Umesato Junior High, the School's{or School-wide} Local Net is provided as a replacement.

2-10- Duel Avatar = A virtual body controlled by players when battling in Brain Burst.

2-11- Legion = Legion. Refers to groups formed by several duel avatars, with the aim of expanding their occupied areas and protecting their privileges. Each of the ≪Seven Kings of Pure Color≫ are tasked as legion masters.

2-12- Territory Battle Time = Set to the evening of every Saturday, it's a time period for battles with special rules. Unlike the usual 1 versus 1 fighting matches, battles are conducted as group matches with equal numbers and no level restrictions.

2-13- Area Control = A privilege granted by the system through exceeding an average win rate of 50% within the ≪Territory Battle Time≫. While in the controlled territory, it grants privileges such as being able to decline to ≪Battles≫ even when the Neuro Linker is connected to the Global Net.

2-14- Standard Battle Field = Refers to the field where normal battles (1 versus 1 matches) take place in Brain Burst. Although the specs it possesses are close to that of reality, its system is still at the level of fighting games of the past.

2-15- Unlimited Neutral Field = A field restricted to duel avatars at level 4 and above, geared towards heavy players{originally "high player" in katakana; refers to heavy gamers, as in time spent playing, so you can use that instead too}. It is designed with a game system different from that of the ≪Standard Battle Field≫, with a degree of freedom easily comparable to even that of the future's VRMMOs.

2-16- Enhanced Armament = Enhanced Armament{first written in kanji, then katakana here}. Refers to items such as weapons and equipment owned by duel avatars. Can be obtained through several methods, such as having it from the start as part of the starting equipment, received from a level up bonus, or bought from the  ≪Shop≫ in the ≪Unlimited Neutral Field≫.

3-13- Area Control = A privilege granted by the system through exceeding an average win rate of 60%{Changed to 60 here. Do you have contacts with anyone with a new print edition of volume 2 to check if it was changed?} within the ≪Territory Battle Time≫. While in the controlled territory, it grants privileges such as being able to decline to ≪Battles≫ even when the Neuro Linker is connected to the Global Net.

4-14- Movement Command System = A system used to control the avatar. The avatar is normally manipulated entirely through this system.

4-15- Image Control System = A system to manipulate the avatar by imagining (image) it strongly. With a mechanism that works considerably different from the usual ≪Movement Command System≫, there are extremely few people who can handle it. The important part to the ≪Incarnate≫ System.

4-16- Incarnate (Incarnate) System = A technique that interferes with the Image Control System in the Brain Burst program, bringing about a phenomenon that exceeds the game's limit. Also called ≪Writing over (Overwrite)≫.

When equipped, powerful abilities such as one to absorb the target avatar's HP, ≪Health Absorption (Drain)≫, or one to act before enemies' attacks, evading them, ≪Future Prediction≫, can be used. However, the one equipping it will have their soul tainted by Chrome Disaster, and end up completely taken over.

7-5- Fuuko = Kurasaki Fuuko (Kurasaki Fuuko). A burst linker that belonged to the old ≪Nega Nebulus≫. One of the ≪Four Classical Elements (Elements)≫. 7-6- Uiui = Shinomiya Utai (Shinomiya Utai). A burst linker that belonged to the old ≪Nega Nebulus≫. One of the ≪Four Classical Elements (Elements)≫. A fourth-year student in Matsunoki Elementary. She is able to handle not only the high-grade disenchantment command, ≪Purification≫, but is skilled at far ranged attacks as well. Her duel avatar is "Ardor Maiden" (Level 7).

7-18- ISS Kit = Short for the IS Mode Study{or Practice} (Study) Kit. IS Mode refers to the ≪Incarnate System Mode≫, and with the aid of this kit, any and all duel avatars are able to utilize the ≪Incarnate System≫. While it's being used, a red ≪Eye≫ will get attached somewhere on the avatar, with the ≪Excess Light (Over-Ray)≫ resulting from ≪Incarnate≫ released in the form of a black aura.

8-19- ≪Seven Sacred Treasures (Seven Arcs)≫ = a series of 7 enhanced armaments which are the strongest in the ≪Accelerated World≫. The items include the large sword, ≪The Impulse≫, the staff, ≪The Tempest≫, the large shield, ≪The Strife≫, one with an unknown appearance, ≪The Luminary≫, the straight sword, ≪The Infinity≫, the full body armour, ≪The Destiny≫ and another with an unknown appearance, ≪The Fluctuating Light≫.

9-18- Star Caster = Refers to the large sword held by Chrome Disaster. Despite its sinister appearance, it was originally a famous majestic sword that shone like the stars, as true to its name.
