[justify]A[sub]hri and Kayn's relationship started off with him coming to her shows, initially as just a regular attendee. However his love of her music, both solo and in K/DA eventually had him buying backstage passes. Ahri noticed him well enough, with his consistency and non-imposing demeanor. Most fanatics tended to be too enthusiastic and often overwhelmed her all at once. Kayn preferred to wait and often seemed to care if any of the girls were too sore or tired to sign anything he happened to want signed. He respected them and kept himself only close enough as he needed, not crowding them. This earned Ahri's immense respect, and gradually the two got to know each other, she even would go so far as to reserve a spot for him, and waive the VIP pass fees, citing him to be worthy and not a threat.

The rest of the band clued in much earlier than Ahri did, certainly, as did her bodyguards. The two became close enough that Kayn had long since become familiar with the entire tour crew, though the pace of the tour often meant they only spent those few hours before and after the shows together before she was off again. Occasionally they'd call and talk about various things, often ending with her falling asleep on him.

One particular pre-show hangout, Kayn had started playing with her hair while she took some much needed time to relax, waving off hair and makeup for the night. She could do her own, albeit quicker makeup. Having drifted off to sleep Kayn styled her hair absently, before realizing she needed to go on-stage. Naturally, Ahri took the stage with quickly done lipstick and makeup, leaving her hair as he'd styled it. Fans and media alike loved it, and some weeks later in an interview she was probed about things.


I: Ahri, tell me who styled your hair here? This is the only time we've ever seen your hair like this, and honestly we love love LOVE it!
A: Ah! That well.. Someone very dear! I don't expect it'll show up again anytime soon, though I could probably do some convincing...
[i]Throughout the rest of the questions, Ahri's visibly blushing, a little more flustered. Though that interview finishes, and rumours run wild with who it could be, given her noticeable reaction[/i]

I: So, we know someone very dear to you did your hair...does that mean there's a special someone in your life?
A: Ahh....my dear friends are always special!
I: So there's no one you want to spend extra time with?
A: I would but he's so damned busy! [i]A pointed stare into the camera, before her expression slips into the horrible realization she let that slip.[/i]

The rest of the interview has the interviewer trying to press the popstar, and her waving it off, or dodging with all her might. Later on she finally gets to check her phone, seeing no reply from Kayn she frets and worries until a pair of telltale dings comes from her phone. Upon opening it she reads 'You....want to?' Followed by another - 'Spend time, that is. With me I mean. Like more time. More time with me...or was it just for that.' vaguely hurt by the implication, though she understood his needing to know she sent back a slightly longer message. 'Of course I do! It's not the interview, I didn't even mean for it to come out like that, I don't....I'm not sorry it did though, because at least you know now.' Her heartbeat thudded in her chest as she waited for any reply, though her need to do something while she waited lead her to go on a massive shopping spree.

Of course the rumour mill is circulating theories, from members of Pentakill to more friendly faces like Jayce and Ezreal coming up as possible romantic links, though each gets squashed by the parties in question, or sightings of said men and women being involved with someone else. All the while Ahri and Kayn continue to talk through text and phone calls, somewhat awkwardly now that things have changed and become more real.
