BACKGROUND : little ahn jiyong was born into a household of her beautiful teacher of a mother, and engineer of a father. the two unrequited lovebirds came together through a series of meetings at their college, and that began dating soon after that. the two had a baby together only three years after they officially became a couple. mirrae, who was nichole at the time, and jooheon, who had been jessi both lived in the booming city of las vegas nevada, and lived there until jiyong, who was named olivia, turned ten years old. mirrae and jooheon decided to move back to mirrae's hometown of daegu due to the fact that her mother had fallen ill to a rare, but vicious, form of cancer. growing up in south korea was difficult for jiyong due to the fact that she barely spoke the language, and the kids in her small elementary school laughed at because of this. she stumbled upon her words often, and didn't speak much in general. her mother eventually pulled her out of that school because of this constant teasing from the kids, and began to home school her while also taking care of her sick mother. this obviously stressed her mother to the core. jiyong, being the angel of an eleven year old that she was, decided to make it easier on her extremely stressed mother, she began to work harder in her studies, and take school seriously. in the off chance that she wasn't studying the korean language to make sure she spoke it perfectly, or reviewing math equations on flash cards she was taking care of her grandmother, hajun. hajun often told jiyong stories, and gave the young girl the imagination of something straight out of a disney movie... but instead of her prince, she got debris, and sadness.

the war came when jiyong was fifteen years old. on her walk home from school one day, suddenly all the lights in her small neighborhood in daegu shut off. the lights flicked to black, and forecast covered the sky. she went home to a crying baby brother, and a shaking mother and grandmother while her father held them all. it was all downhill from then. instead of fairytales her storyteller passed away, and jiyong was left with a terrified family. one day when jiyong went to a run down connivence store to try and get some water for her family, and once she returned back home her family was gone. and by gone i mean her mother and father were sprawled out, dead across the floor while her little brother hoseok was missing.

jiyong ran away after that. far, far she ran indeed. after hitch-hiking her way to seoul she met a girl who took her to a building full of other shaken up survivors. after this girl saw jiyong sobbing her little sixteen year old heart out into a bush, she took her immediately. those girls ended up being her very own saviors as she calls them. they took care of jiyong after that.

PERSONALITY : she's still a kid in all honesty. though she grew up in this cruel, bitter war filled with cold hearted bastards who care about no one but themselves she still sees the best in the world. she knows it's just the gunshots that scare them cause they scare her too. though she knows it naive of her to believe that korea will ever get better again or there is some bit of hope left for the fucked up place she calls her home but she'll always be the one to remind everyone that there is. her motto is "fake it till you make it." meaning that she'll fake her happiness, and optimism until she dies. what you think that she'll just return to her dead parents and get a booming smile back on her face immediately? fake her hope until someone shoots down her entire crew one after the other in front of her very eyes. jiyong is still a human and will always still want revenge on the men that stripped her of her teenage years. she's not violent, definitely not, but she's no angel. if you need to die, she'll pull the trigger. if you can't be trusted whatsoever, she'll interrogate you until you crack. jiyong is no saint. and can anyone be in a world like this?

jiyong, still being the youngest though, is what some consider to be the mother of the group. she's the one asking everyone if they need a bandaid (cause she's always got some in her back pocket), or giving up her food or water for her friends. in her mind, the lives of her friends matter so much more than her pitiful one does. she'd rather have them survive seeing as though they've got something going for them, they know how to efficiently shoot a gun, they aren't afraid to attack people, and they don't cry like little babies when they're afraid. jiyong is just a kid who's afraid, and just trying to make it like everyone else. who needs that in a fucking war? and that's why jiyong is so motherly. but don't get me wrong, she truly does genuinely care about her friends. they're like her family. they saved her from death practically. she loves them and would take a bullet for them. and that's not just an exaggeration.

ahn jiyong in general in just a sweet girl. its a fake facade but it's a believable one. her optimism shines through all the ruble from the war, and just her smile can brighten the day of some poor soul who needs it. she's always willing to invite people into their circle for protection, but seeing as how everyone in her group has trust issues she doesn't, and can't. all in all, jiyong is a charming girl who just wants some fucking peace.

HIS PERSONALITY : he's just... confusing. not the romantic type, definitely not emotional, and pretty much is devoid of all feelings. she blames it on the world around them, he just says his background changed him. she's unaware of what that background is since he doesn't show emotion or feeling ever, just a cold rock of a human who wants to get through the world just as much as she does. as the beautiful, fluorescent human that she is, she wanted to know everything about him, from what his favorite cereal is (hers is fruit loops), to what shoe brand he thinks is the stupidest (hers is crocs) but due to his personality being cold he just mumbled back responses, or sometimes didn't speak at all. usually the latter. all in all, min yoongi is a closed off soul who just wants to find some happiness again.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS :

him || he didn't trust her. something about that bubbly, everything will work out fine attitude was such bullshit to him. he thought that it was all a setup to capture him and take him away from his group but in reality she just needed a friend. basically, to keep it short and simple for you, he didn't trust her whatsoever.

her || jiyong had set out that day just looking for a friend. some to listen to her and not just see her as a child who was mindlessly blabbing about stupid shit that didn't matter. so, she set out, and just so happened to stumble across test issue fueled min yoongi. she thought he was attractive, as any sane person would, but he seemed to not trust her. making jiyong to the same in return. though she stuck around him because she wanted to talk, her guard was up and her gun was loaded.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM : jiyong just wants to save him. save him from the craziness that is min yoongi's fucked up mind. this leads little miss optimism to try and stick close to him most of the time, trying to learn things about him that he's to afraid to tell anyone else. she just wants him to... love her honestly. yoongi just drove her mad at first, with his stupid playing hard to get, and chase me attitude it drove her away at first, causing her to act distant and cold. to the point where they didn't even care enough to speak to each other, until jiyong one day missed his company and ran back to him like a lost puppy. as you can tell jiyong does most of the skinship. she acts almost like a puppy that just wants your attention to put it as simply as possible. slowly, yoongi began to enjoy the attention and love that she showered him with. about three months into their relationship they were already showing skinship to each other, kissing, and had this bond that was strangely formed. neither jiyong or yoongi knew what it was. and of course jiyong was the one who initiated most of it.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU : like i've stated before he didn't trust her at all. he thought everything she did was fake and set up to stop the rebellion, when really all she wanted was a friend. as i mentioned above he stayed away from her at first, to afraid that she was insane or something like that. slowly he gained trust, and feelings for the younger girl. (i feel like i'm repeating myself, so basically it's just like all up in the 'how you act around him' and i don't know what else to put here so yeah !!)
