In the very last moment that you can, you bring forth a small shield of truth energy from your hands, just enough to block the dangerous looking black arrow entirely, though despite blocking the arrow perfectly with the small square of truth you managed to manifest from your hand in time, you don't actually do anything about the force of the arrow speeding towards you! It slams into the small shield and immediately pushes you backwards, and then off your feet entirely! Just... how much force did Avenger put into this arrow shot? Had you attempted to take this with just your body alone, you wouldn't have just lost an arm... your body would've been pulverized completely!

It's actually pretty incredible, to be carried along through solely the force of a single projectile, but you can't just allow yourself to be carried off like this, and with great exertion and through reinforcement of your muscles, you tilt the shield of truth to the side in order to change the course of the arrow, causing the black arrow to slide off the shield and sink deep into the concrete floor, almost as if it melts the stone on contact like a supernaturally strong acid.
