D-Day

Alexithymiaa: -Steph had been trying to figure out which videos she could find online to show Felix since she didnt have access to any home movies since they were all at her mom's house. Finding a good handful, she was pretty excited as she walked over to the couch, casting from youtube onto the living room tv. "Okay okay so this one was Nationals in 2014. Covet: Felix sat back on the couch and put his arms behind his head, while he watched the video. His eyebrows raised as she went through her floor routine on the screen. "Wow Red, This is really impressive. I knew you were talented, but I didn't think it was this talented."
Alexithymiaa: -She started to nod, her grin spreading wide across her face because this is the one thing she was NEVER humble about. "I know. But then again when you spend seven days a week, eight hours a day training, either you be that talented or you're wasting a whole lot of time. And I loved it so it worked out." She stroked the cat as she watched the rest of her routine, completely enthralled with herself. "I've never been as good at anything as I was at gymnastics. All the bigger events were televised and it never even occured to me to be nervous like I do when I get on stage now." She paused, reaching for her phone to queue up the next video she found. Covet: "Yeah. That's true." Felix said with a nod. Then looked at her, before looking back at the screen. "So... what are you feeling right now?" He asked her as he looked back at her.
Alexithymiaa: -She took a deep breath, tipping her head to the side as she watched herself on the tv. "I feel like I miss being that person. Incredibly strong willed... I thought and felt like I could do anything and be anything I wanted to be. I don't have the same kind of confidence I did then."-
Covet: "Oh trust me, you're still very much incredibly strong willed." Felix said with a smirk, "As for doing anything you want, and being whatever you want, You were a gymnast, and now you're a bad ass rockstar, plus a great artist, You're like Punk Rock Barbie, and you have a way better house than the dream mansion, That's a lot of pink, even for me." Felix said to her with a cringey look.
Alexithymiaa: -She gave him a nudge, breaking into a laugh. "Shut up. Stubborn and strong willed are not the same. Besides, I'm not a badass rock star. I'm a wannabe rock star in a punk band that very few people have even heard of. I cry over literally everything now and I was never this weak. That girl?" She asked, gesturing to the tv. "That girl competed with an ACL injury and two slipped discs and STILL ranked in the top twelve in the country. This girl cries when Penny doesn't greet me at the door."-
Covet: "I'm pretty sure if you look it up in the dictionary it says the same thing for both." Felix said raising an eyebrow at her. "You're not a wannabe, You've got a record company produced album. You've played with some big names already. Wannabes play at shady bars for shit money and free drinks." Felix said. "Strength comes in many forms. And that girl hasn't been what you have, that doesn't make you any less strong. You're here, alive and are doing your best to become a better you. That takes some serious balls." Felix said.
Alexithymiaa: "But in the same respect, I don't think with who I am now, that I could handle doing that sort of stuff now. I felt indestructible then. Now I feel like glass. I just miss that feeling of being so sure of myself that nothing could stop me." She pushed up from the couch and set Ozzy down next to Felix, walking off into the kitchen to pull the fridge open, grabbing a couple bottles of water.-
Covet: "You know what's cool about Glass?" He said to her. " It can become molten glass and reformed, even after breaking." He said watching her. "But you can add things to it to make it more durable, more colorful, completely changing it into something even better than it was before." Felix added cause this guy knew how to throw out examples like a boss. // Benjamin pulled his multi colored black and primer grey panelled car into the drive way of the adress he'd gotten from Rochelle. He'd kind of been in the city over the weekend scoping the city out and getting set up in a motel for the time until he could find a rental. He'd also been looking in the classified for a job with a halfway decent wage, for mechanic and welding work, but he knew he had to face the music and talk to Felix. He climbed out opening up the squeaky door and closed it, before making his way up to the door, and pressing the doorbell.

Alexithymiaa: -She rolled her eyes, intentionally tossing out one of the bottles to him to catch because she was vaguely annoyed he'd turned that around so easily so be PUNISHED. "You're annoying, you know that?" She asked with a fucking face, cracking her bottle open to take a sip. When the doorbell rang and the dogs rant to the door to bark, she sighed, setting the bottle down on the counter. "You would think by now Cadence would just walk in so the dogs don't go crazy." Turning to the door in her only half closed sweater because relaxing, she stuck her foot out to stop the dogs from getting out, opening the door to see Benjamin standing on the front porch. It didn't take her longer than a couple of seconds to make the connection since Felix looked like him a bit and Rochelle had said he'd be coming around now. "Can I help you?"-
Covet: He flinched and flailed at the bottle, instead of catching it. "Yeahm, I know. Doesn't make me any less wrong." He said taking a drink as well, rotating his shouder with a wince as she went to go answer the door. Flailing was a bad idea. // "Hi, I assume you're Steph? I was hoping I could talk to Felix." He said politely, "I'm his Dad."
Alexithymiaa: "I know who you are." She spoke flatly, moving her arm from straight down at her side to stretch across the doorway, a pretty clear gesture there were no sunshine and rainbows for Benjamin on this end. She just stared at him for a long moment, her jaw clenched because she instantly hated him before calling out to Felix. "Arizona..."-
Covet: "What?" Felix called out, because he didn't want to get up. When he didn't hear anything he got up and made his way to the door. "What's up?" He asked. // Benjamin lowered his head and pursed his lips feeling the hate coming off of her. He stood there awkwardly until he heard his' son's voice. His head picked up and he looked at the door.
Alexithymiaa: "You have a visitor." She said to him, not taking her eyes off of Benjamin because all the no trust. She wasn't about to invite him into the house because that was entirely up to Felix what he wanted to do, if anything at all.-
Covet: Felix furrowed his brow and walked over to Steph to hold the door open further. "Oh..." His voice sounded none to thrilled when he saw who it was. "Let me get my jacket." He said walking back to the room to get it because he didn't want him in the house anymore than she did. // Benjamin nodded his head, "I'll just go wait over by my car. Nice to meet you Steph." He said giving a nod of his head before he made his way from the door.
Alexithymiaa: -She didn't return the nice gesture to Benjamin because fuck him, just standing there silently as he walked back to his car. She instantly had knots in her stomach about Felix getting into the car with him, turning in the direction of the bedroom. "Do you think it's a good idea for you to go with him?"-
Covet: "I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going to talk to him outside. I don't want him in here, especially if he does something stupid." Felix told her then gave her a kiss on the head before walking out the door. He'd also grabbed his stashed vape pen because that was going to be vital to this conversation. He stepped out the door and walked over to his Dad, and kept his hands in his pockets."What the hell do you think you are doing, Coming here and trying to talk to me. Apologize? For what? What could you possibly say that would make me forgive you after everything that happened?" // Benjamin sat on the hood of his car, "You're right, I don't deserve your forgiveness. I don't expect it. But that doesn't take away the fact that I have a responsiblity to apologize for my repeated fuck ups." He said crossing his arms.
Alexithymiaa: -She just stood in the doorway watching them, only half able to hear the conversation from where she was standing and already feeling extremely uneasy about it. Grabbing the leashes from the hook, she slipped them onto both of the dogs and walked outside, taking a seat down on the bench with them because at the very least if there was any kind of fight, dogs are good.-
Covet: Felix hadn't noticed Steph come outside, cause he was a bit hyper focused right now. He set his jaw as he stared at Benjamin. "What are you apologizing for exactly? For being an abusive drunk who bailed on his kids because he loved the sauce more? Or because you feel obligated because you've been sober enough to realize just how bad you fucked up?" // Benjamin, inhaled deeply, pursing his lips as he nodded his hand, "Is there a reason it can't be both? Yeah I'm sober, and what's been even more sober, is coming to terms with the fact that I did all of those things. I hurt you, your brother and your mom. In more ways than a person should ever be hurt. And I'm going to have to live with that on my conscience for the rest of my life."
Alexithymiaa: -She pursed her lips as she listened to Felix go at his father, now at a much better listening spot on the bench than she'd been standing before. Her heart broke for him as she could hear the pain in his face, pulling her arms around herself because she's not the smart one who grabbed a jacket.-
Covet: "Yeah, you are. You know what else you have to have on your conscience for the rest of your life. The fact that you smacked a child hard enough that you gave him a worse disability than he already had. You made it so he was relentlessly bullied when he was younger, but you know what... No.. No.. Let me put it this way.. Thanks Dad.. For making me a stronger adult, because I didn't let any of that keep me down, and I'm ten times the man you will ever be, sober or not." He said, then pulled the vape pen out of his pocket taking a long drag off of it before he exhaled. Because stress man. // Benjamin set his jaw but just put his head down. "Your mom and brother both said you'd be the harder egg to crack, and they weren't kidding. But.. I'm going to stick it out, Boy. I'm going to be around here for a while. I'm staying at a motel just off the interstate, until I can get a job and get into an apartment. If you decide to change your mind... you can reach me there. But I'll leave that up to you."
Alexithymiaa: -She furrowed her brows as she watched him pull out the vape pen, knowing full well what it was, but wasn't exactly sure where it came from or how long he'd had it. Or particularly why it was in his pocket of a jacket he wore all the time. She stood up from the bench, twisting her hand around the leashes she was holding as she waited for Benajmin to leave.-
Covet: "Yeah, well don't hold your breath. You suck at apologies by the way." He said, making sure to get out of the way, intending to stand in the driveway vaping until he saw the tail lights disappear from sight. Once gone, he kicked a rock across the drive way and yelled out in frustration. "Stupid fucking sonovabitch."
Alexithymiaa: -She swallowed hard, trying not to be a dick to him considering the current situation. "What is that?" She asked, standing on the porch and watching him.-
Covet: Felix turned around seeing Steph on the porch with the dogs, then looked at the vape in his hand then leaned his head back. "Fuck my life.....FUCK MY LIFE SIDEWAYS WITH A BASEBALL BAT AND A BALL GAG!" He yelled then took a breath. "It's exactly what you already know it is." Felix said, shoving it back into his pocket, with his head down, not really wanting to go closer, because he knew she'd be not happy about it, and he knew better.
Alexithymiaa: -She flinched when he yelled, not moving from her spot on the porch as she just watched him. "How long have you been smoking again?"-
Covet: "A while... " He said not wanting to say when and make her feel guilty about it, because it was that event that kicked that habbit back into gear.
Alexithymiaa: "So you lied." She paused, pushing down the insane anger she was feeling since situation. "You've been lying. To my face. Every day." She pursed her lips, turning away from him and walking back into the house, kicking the door shut behind her. She wasnt going to lock him out because that's such a dick move and he still lives here, but she walked with the dogs straight back to the bedroom and shut the door, locking THAT one to keep him out.-
Covet: he just stood there, because she was right and he knew it. He walked up to the door and reached in for his keys, seeing the door to the bedroom closed and then walked back out of the house. He wasn't going to go anywhere, but he needed som space so he was going to go sit in his car with the heater on and pout while listening to music. Definitely smoking more because more stress.
