  1. World:
  2. The game is set on a tetrahedral planet covered in a number of Temples, including four very large Temples on each corner. The objective of the game is to collect data from all 85 species of Figmera. To accomplish this, the player can explore the wild area surrounding Temples, or confront the Figmera guarding Temples. Certain Figmera are only be found in certain areas, or under certain conditions. Some are only initially found in certain Temples, and will only be found in the wild after controlling that Temple.
  3. Aside from Temples, the player may also find Vaults containing artifacts or valuable caches of minerals.
  4.
  5. Travel:
  6. The player can only navigate the world by travelling in a Figmeron. The player can travel with a team of up to three Figmera at any time, and must select one as the primary vessel. The secondary vessels can use some of their abilities, and provide bonuses for the primary vessel.
  7. A primary vessel has a limited amount of stamina that they can use before switching with a secondary vessel. Stamina is lost while moving or taking damage, and is recovered at controlled Temples. If all three Figmera on the player's travelling team reach zero Stamina, the player is immediately sent back to the most recent Pool they have visited.
  8. While travelling through a wild area, the player may attract Figmera encounters. The player can try to avoid these in stealth mode, or attract them in search mode. Once encountered, the player may attempt to flee, attack or socialize with the wild Figmeron. If the player fails to flee or socialize, the Figmeron may attack. If the player fails to attack, it may flee.
  9.
  10. Socializing:
  11. When socializing, the player has a certain number of turns to recruit the wild Figmeron. The player's primary vessel can Boast to increase their reputation, Posture to increase the power of the next Boast, or Endear to reduce the amount of reputation needed to succeed. If the player meets the target reputation level by the end of the number of turns, the wild Figmeron will be recruited. If the player fails, the wild Figmeron will either flee or attack.
  12.
  13. Combat:
  14. When attacking, the player can strike, power-strike or use a special ability (usually) at the cost of Stamina, attempt to Pacify or attempt to flee. If the player is able to reduce the wild Figmeron's Stamina to zero before their own is depleted, or before either Figmeron involved successfully flees, they successfully win the battle. Special abilities targetting the opponent may reduce their stats for a number of turns, or for the duration of the battle, or may cause Stamina to consistently decrease over time. Self-targetted abilities may, inversely, increase stats or recover some Stamina. If the player successfully Pacifies the opponent, they may change from attacking to socializing, although they would start with a reduced initial reputation.
  15.
  16. Acquiring Figmera:
  17. The player can collect data from a Figmeron either by defeating it in battle or by successfully socializing with and recruiting it. If the Figmeron is recruited, it will be available to the player with the stats it was encountered at.
  18. Once data is collected, the player can clone this Figmeron by expending a set amount of energy and minerals. A cloned Figmeron starts out as a Figmite, and has to be reared by an adult Figmeron in a Temple's nursery before it can be used for any task. A nursery can also be used to have a higher-level Figmeron train a lower-level Figmeron over time. Energy and minerals can also be used
  19.
  20. Territory:
  21. Each Temple includes some size of Pit, Nursery and Pool (which may or may not be sealed), and some number of Towers (1-5).
  22. When a player reaches a wild Temple, they must confront a Guard Figmeron on each of its Towers. Once all Guard Figmera are either defeated in battle or recruited, the Temple is under the player's control. The player can assign Figmera to Pools and Pits to generate energy and minerals, respectively. Pools may be sealed, and require some amount of energy and minerals to open. Each Pit and Pool can hold a limited number of Figmera, but can be expanded a certain amount at the cost of energy and minerals.
  23. Pools can be used to instantly travel between controlled Temples, and sometimes require energy or resources to initially open up. Energy from Pools is instantly transferred to the player, but the player must travel to a specific Temple to collect resources from Pits. If all Temple Pools are full, the player can place a Figmeron into the Interpool that connects each Pool, with reduced energy gain.
  24. Temples under the player's control are sometimes invaded by wild Figmera, and must be defended by a number of the player's own Figmera, based on how many available Towers there are. If an invasion gets through, the player will lose some amount of resources. If the Temple is successfully defended, the player will win bonus resources.
  25.
  26. Artifacts:
  27. The player may acquire Keystones and Tablets either by opening Vaults, controlling new Temples or searching in Pits.
  28. When controlling a Temple, a counter will inform the player how many artifacts are currently within its Pit. Artifacts found this way can not be lost in any invasion.
  29. There are 85 Keystones total, each marked with the image of a different species of Figmeron. Each can be used to open a gate with the corresponding marking if a Figmeron of that species is in the travelling team, allowing the player access to a Temple or Vault.
  30. There are 115 Tablets (for a total of 200 artifacts), each containing a single Gene Word. Once a Tablet has been found, that Gene can be applied to a Figmite during cloning to give them a special ability or trait. 85 of the Genes grant a stat boost, 10 grant or enhance status effects or debuffs, 10 grant or enhance healing or buffs, and 10 grant other special abilities.
