- In VRChat
- if you open your Launch Pad (Hand menu, not the radial)
- go to the gear open the big menu
- Go to performance options
- scroll down
- Change "Graphics Quality" to Low or Medium
- and Multisample Anti-Aliasing to 2X or 4X
- _~ICE~ on YT says to use 2X if you've set your resolution to 150% or higher and 4X for 100% or lower_
- Then on the Launch pad again
- Gear/Cog :gear: > Scroll down > Performance
- You'll find the options to
- "Hide Avatars Further Than Xm Away"
- And
- "Hide All Avatars Except The Nearest X"
- I recommend adjusting those 2 settings
- In SteamVR settings
- if you don't like the smearing/blurry effect from the interpolation
- to turn off "Motion Smoothing"
- Also always have your Render Resolution in SteamVR set to custom
- Depending on your GPU and graphics preferences
- I recommend setting the resolution from 50% to 150%
- Set "Overlay Render Quality" to Medium
- SteamVR Home can cause stuttering so if you don't use it probably good to turn it off
- There's an option for "Advanced Supersample Filtering" I barely see a difference with it on or off
- but with any form of Antialiasing it probably has some performance impact
- One person said
- "Switch it off if you prefer sharper images. Leave it on (as it is by default) if you hate aliasing and sharp line/pixel 'shimmer'."
- For Oculus the motion smoothing equivalent is called "Asyncronous Spacewarp"/(ASW)
- For Virtual Desktop it's Synchronous Spacewarp (SSW)
- I actually like having SSW on but not everyone does so see if you prefer
- to have it off/disabled, automatic, or forced on.
- _I think SSW is only on the Quest 2_
- Some extra Windows stuff for a lil bit more performance

- Video from ~ICE~
- "Windows Optimized Quickly for VR+"
- _I might write it out later idk_
- _for now I think this is a good amount of info that not everyone knows_
