  3. Banu Iken
  4. The Banu Iken are the most affluent and established of the Shusa tribes that have taken to stellar life. They own the only space station in Lazula system, located in the ferrous astroids out past the 5th planet. This is the largest reason for their personal affluence, with the magnetic distortions of the astroids cloaking the station to a degree. Ikenian traders are the most common in the inner sphere, and operate the eight JumpShips that are officially owned by the Pharaoh themself.

  6. Banu Kafina
  7. The Banu Kafina are largely considered to be the most aggressive, engaging in open piracy along the Lyran border, and across the deep periphery. Kafinan raids have been recorded engaging Scorpion Empire solahma and dark caste forces, though their lack of open support has kept the Scorpions from directly connecting the Banu Kafina to the Pharaohnate. Clan pillage is too valuable however for the Banu Kafina to stop, and it is likely that eventually the Scorpions will track them back to the Nybian Pharaohnate. Their well-explained rivalry with Banu Bismark is far from good-natured, but it is often put aside when the Pharaohnate requires their cooperation. Despite their differing methods, the Banu Kafina are loyal to the Pharaohnate and honor-bound to support it.

  9. Banu Ukhaim
  10. Spread across the Pharaohnate, the Banu Ukhaim are largely the most involved in internal trade and exchange. They frequently get into trade-wars with the Banu Iken, sometimes evolving into actual shooting matches when the tensions and profit margins get high. The majority of private JumpShips are operated by the Banu Ukhaim, thus their mercantile concerns usually must be balanced against the Pharaohs expansions. Expansion is hamstrung and bottlenecked by the needs of the Banu Ukhaim unless foreign private JumpShips can be enlisted to the cause.

  12. Banu Bismarck
  13. Banu Bismarck are the youngest of the Shusa space-tribes, and are considered to be interstellar Medjay. While they own a few JumpShips, the core of their strength is the select few pocket WarShips and direct combat DropShips, as well as the carrier *Wilhelm*, which affords enough force projection that the Bismarckian fleet manages to compensate for its size by virtue of ferocity and aggression. Theirs is the tribe which usually leads the way for expansion, securing orbital supremacy before affording Pharaohnate forces to make planetfall, as well as providing security and keeping Banu Kafina in check while inside of Pharaohnate space.

  15. Banu Sassi
  16. Banu Sassi were rewarded with a small fleet of DropShips and a JumpShip after the Jihad, in recognition of their service for hundreds of years to the Pharaohnate, and subtly thanks to their direct connection to the Voss-Sassi line. Taking their ships abroad, the Banu Sassi cross the inner sphere to make the Hajj; after completion, they remained abroad, coming into contact with almost all powers of the inner sphere as little more than mercenary-traders, collecting scrap and loot from missions and selling it for a profit. Few correctly guess their true motives or origin; to collect difficult to obtain technology and return it to the Pharaohnate, while also being a constant source of news of the various goings-ons in the Inner Sphere. Banu Sassi are slated to return to Nyb in 3160, concluding their 4th such expedition.
