- Long white candles of mint and jasmine burned with jasmine and saffron and spice, a strange mixture of sweets and smokes and desert roses filling the small building and suffusing the air with scents and mixtures the like of which can scarcely be imagined. Long jade and ebony spiraling spires held the longer candles aloft, while rounded fountainlike hollow basins of marble and starstone caught the drippings in a honeyed milk and nectar mix specifically mixed and poured for the occasion and blessed by the Dwarven priests- the strange mixture would later be added to any tears shed at the ceremony and incorporated with wax and hard liquor into more candles for later such events. Priests or not, Dwarves were pragmatic, and the foreign tastes usually lead to better tips.
- Tossed and rotten flowers of pungent odor were strewn along the hall's aisle; normally, fresh ones would have been picked and blessed by a Dryad, but in the case of the particular recipient, such would have been far less spectacular or productive than the provision here.
- "Tralalalally~" sang an white clad Elf minstrel in laughter briefly before assuming a mock serious look and finishing tuning her instrument. The instrument was rather an interesting one, combining harpsicord and bagpipe in physical appearance, though in sound it was far more akin to the bastard child of an oboe and a flute. In skilled hands, as the slender fingers trailing along its length were, it was quite a lovely instrument.
- The few members of the congregation blinked at her owlishly. There were only three sentient 'living' individuals by the standards of solid-bodied conscious free willed beings; by the standards of the Wyrd, however, there were some twenty, from various admiring spirits of nature to ghosts. A particular Sand Elf Ranger, one of the phantoms, crossed his arms smugly and offered a half mocking and half cheerful wolf whistle.
- Of the living, one was a tired looking blonde Human man covered in scars, one was a redheaded Ad'Djinn woman who had come 'for her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-aunt's happiness' or 'for the bride', and the last was a complete stranger in a trenchcoat of indeterminate species and appearance that had come in to get out of the rain and stayed for the free food and drink.
- A motley lot, but fitting.
- At the shiny alter crusted in gems and carved of mithril waited a significantly more monochromatic and light absorbing young human man with a mustache and black hair. His cheeks burned as he shook, though he was likely wholly unaware of it as he strained to keep himself calm and go through with this, and a lighter patch on his pale skin marked where his loved one had kissed him- the nerves on the kiss-mark refused to blush for the moment and may well have been healthier than they had been prior. His black and white robes were tended to their best and some joker had even forced a tie upon him; his boots and sheathe gleamed like his brown eyes in the stainglass-window light when he finally looked up.
- The tall warrior stilled as a feeling entered the chapel with his loved one.
- She wore robes of purple, her train of red hair still vibrantly glowing through a veil and train of lavender so light as to almost be white, and she gracefully swayed into the building and advanced on longer legs down as the dead plants burst into life before her- in some cases so vibrantly that petals cannoned up and drifted down slowly on her and the onlookers. Deep green eyes met the ghost's before a near microscopic giggle left her, one at once sad, bemused, and greatly delighted. The laugh of one who sees a long missed friend showing suddenly and proving one wrong without a word, perhaps.
- The aisle was a tad small for a lady of her height to walk down slowly with grace, and she had no escort; nevertheless she managed to not quite saunter as she slipped down with elegance instead. The lesser nature spirits and Elementals gathered the Djinn's bouquets and tossed them belatedly like the 'flower children' of more normal weddings in her wake; the petals seemed to have a slightly annoying tendency to just become larger and more beautiful flowers in turn on each shredding, but only the Dwarves seemed to actually be irked by it. A long-bearded one stepped forth in a set of white and gold robes with a strange pointy hat and cleared her throat, staring at the tall couple's knees as they stepped together at last.
- Morstrife's blush left as his hand met hers, as did his shivering, though his heart still raced and he stood straighter. She grinned down at him and pressed her hip against him, holding his hand firmly in hers, and hummed quietly as they waited. The Dwarf began.
- "Do you take one another as spouses until such time as one of you may die? Will you hold them in your heart and affairs first and foremost of all you may love and cherish? Will you put aside lesser concerns for the welfare and comfort of the other?" the priest inquired.
- "I, Kim'ika, take you Tiberius, to be my husband, my best friend, my partner, and my lover. I will honor and respect our bond and love you more each day. I will trust you, laugh with you and share your tears with you. Always by your side in good times and bad, regardless of challenges we may meet. I give you my heart, my love, my hand in all our days together. I will hold you first, hold you tightly, and hold you to things," Kim'ika swore with some degree of humored sincerity.
- "I, Tiberius, take your name of Keilyli, and I take you, Kim'ika, to be my wife, my lifelong best friend, my partner, and my lover. I will honor and respect our bond and love you more each day. I will trust you, laugh with you, and share your tears with you," the young swordsman declared as well. "Always by your side in good times and bad, regardless of the challenges we may meet. I give you my heart, my love, my hand in all our days together. I will hold you first and hold you tightly."
- "In the presence of Gods and your families and friends I wed thee to be husband and wife, promising to be a loving and faithful husband and wife, even father and mother eventually, for as long as you both shall live. You may now read the slip together," the priest nodded, slipping gleaming rings to both.
- "I," Kim'ika and Tiberius read together, "take you to be my lover and my friend, the mother/father of my children and my beloved partner in life. During times of plenty and times of want, times of sickness and times of health, I will be by your side. When we are blessed with sorrow as with joy, we will face and share those experiences together. I vow to respect and cherish you. I will care for you and protect you. I will comfort and encourage you. I will be to you faithful and always true for all eternity to come."
- Kim'ika shook the veil off and kissed Tiberius' forehead. "I do mean all eternity."
- The mortal hugged the immortal's hip. "As do I."
- The priest coughed, an eyebrow near obscuring an eye, and then pointedly poked. "You may now kiss the husband."
- Kim'ika did not acknowledge having jumped the gun, instead smiling and doing so.
