  2. - Sorry We're Closed: A sort of Silent Hill/Resident Evil inspired game but with strong JoJo: Bizarre Adventures stylistic inspiration, and quirky queer characters. You'll be playing as Michelle, a young woman going over a three year breakup with ex suddently being transported into a world of weird demons and other bizarre encounters and gaining the ability to see between those two worlds. It should come out late this year, so keep an eye on it while you can.

  4. - Fear the Spotlight: Another very interesting Silent Hill inspired game, centered around a medium gone wrong, and you'll be playing as Vivian trying to find her childhood friend Amy inside a dangerous version of their school - and also face internal dramas surfacing back. If you like that vibe of horror and the LiS feeling, then you have to check out this game.
  5. 1000xResist: Do not let the anime like artstyle discomfort you, this is actually a very unique experience with mixing up the high school coming-of-age vibes with a sci-fi story with some pyschological/introspecitve implications. Also my favourite game I've played this year!

  7. - The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood: A very peculiar game that might seems boring at first but does have a certain charm. You play into the role of Fortuna, a unlucky witch that has been put into exile in space and has the company of a weird lovecraftian entity, trying to find a way to reconnect with her friends. It has queer vibes and characters, but most of all you can create your own custom tarot card with a fairly good amount of player choice, and character interaction/writing is the key point.

  9. - NORCO: Classic point and click game, it submerges you into the world of Kay, a young girl returning to her hometown after the death of her mother to find her supposedly vanished brother. Alonside the sci-fi aesthetic, there's a very rich narrative and aesthetic that, much like Arcadia Bay was a representation of the general north pacific Oregon/Washington state small town, get's you in the vibe of a Louisiana village, albeit in a sort of dreamlike sci-fi world. A must play if you haven't got the opportunity yet.
  10.
  11. - Phoenix Springs: An interesting sci-fi narrative adventure, whose creators describe as a "mistery adventure game", but fear not, they are not going to beat your head around with with noir implications and abstract philosophical questions. You'll be playing as reporter Iris Dormer reconnecting with her brother in a bizzare community - and the misteries that surround the place, through a very analitical and introspective puzzle based analysis. You can check out the free prologue to have a better idea of what's the game about.

  13. - Indika: A very unorthodox and metanarrative adventure game, made by a small russian indie studio that had to flee their country due to the restrictive laws applied after the Ukraine invasion. You'll be playing as the titular character, Indika, a young nun that has a conflicted relationship with her faith and visions of demons. There aren't branching choices but the story and bizarre steampunk russian world mixed with a very strong and nuanced storytelling makes it a quite good experience. Also, a part of the game revenue has been donated to help ukrainian families affected by the war to have first aid kits and relief funds, so that's a huge plus.

  15. - Kathy Rain: A Detective is Born: Another point & click adventure game that takes a supernatural turn very much inspired by Twin Peaks and X-Files, with a main character that is sort of a Chloe Price/Kat Mikaelsen in her own way. The sequel is also supposed to come out soon, and if you like the genre I'd sincerely reconmend you to buy the Director's Cut version of the game, since it's the most complete one in term of stroy and content.
