ੈ BACKGROUND | Ari was born on September 27,2003 in Jeju Island were she grew up for 4 years,but when she turned 5 her parents decided to move to another province in South Korea called Tongyeong,there,she was a child when she discovered her talent for dancing,she got to be part of a group were childrens dance in front of adults and when she became 7,she met her childhood friend,Hyeongjun,there they became really close and shared the passion for dancing,they danced on the same team,performing for events in their province with various style making Ari versatile in various gernres of dance.It was then when she was 13 when she was scouted by an SM employee along with Hyeongjun,they both accepted but when the day where they finally get to try out for the audition,Hyeongjun backs out leaving Ari alone for auditioning in SM then she passed,after that as a trainee she was very busy in trying to improve herself so she lost contact with her friend.

When Ari was in Grade School and Middle School instead of going to a dance club she goes to the volleyball club where she becomes a regular and a first line up in volleygames, she quits when she was about to debut but this played a large factor in her flexibility
