- “alright,” Sans said as he ushered Asgore and Toriel into the former queen’s room, “you two are gonna settle your issues in here.” The goats opened their mouths to protest with pointed fingers but the skeleton cut them off. “nuh-uh, no buts. frisk here is getting sick and tired of ‘mommy and daddy’ fighting.” Frisk waved sheepishly from behind Sans as the ex-royalty turned their gaze to them. Sans offered a serrated grin from the doorway. “now kiss and make up, you two.”
- The door closed shut with a deafening click, and there was no chance of it budging with Sans’s magic keeping it stuck closed. Toriel looked at Asgore, a scowl thick on her muzzle. “I’m guessing this was another one of your short sighted ideas, eh ‘Gorey’.” His old pet name dripping with venom as it fell from her lips, Toriel obviously not pleased.
- “Oh,” He rolled his eyes. “As much as I would love to spend time with my dear, dear wife, I think I’d rather run away and hide from my problems than devise a plan as stupid as this.”
- “Ha, ha, ha, hysterical” she mocked, “The royal clown finally grew a pair while I was gone.”
- The king snorted. “I see you still haven’t developed that sense of ‘humor’ of yours. How long did it take you to come up with that one? A decade? Two?”
- “Oh my, there might actually be some bite behind that bark, dear,” she said, shaking her head with a sarcastic grin. “Be careful; you might actually do something useful for once.”
- He took a step forward, looking down at her with contempt. “Just promise me you won’t run away as soon as something happens you don’t like, honey.”
- “I don’t think that’ll happen,” she closed the distance, her nose mere inches from him. Daggers were in her eyes as she spoke, “Coward.”
- “Vagrant.” He snapped back, a growl in his voice.
- “Spineless.”
- “Tramp.”
- “Oh, bite me!” She snarled, her nose wrinkling.
- “Maybe I will.” He put emphasis on each word, towering over her.
- She leaned forward, her scowl still present as she refused to back down. “You don’t have the guts.”
- “I’ll make you eat those words.” He threatened, sneering slightly at his ex-wife.
- She merely smirked. “Make me.”
