  1. I will compare a range of communication methods we used against communication methods Fire Station used when they were making their breakfast event. They only used face-book post to inform about and invite people to their event. If we didn’t go there, they would have around 5people attending. This is much less than us during Business Breakfast event. We have put much more effort in communicating with people.
  2. To invite all the guests from the list we have made, it was necessary to ensure they all get the information they need on time. We used more than one communication method. We have been speaking and handing out invites directly to some guests on the day when we went to a local business marketing meeting. Delivering the invites this way, talking directly face to face is always better than sending it through the post or making a phone call. It allowed us to see and talk with some of our guests before the business breakfast actually happened. I think when we deliver the invite personally, there is a bigger chance that the guest will attend the event, because they can actually see us in person and we are able to answer all their questions on the spot. We gave out flyers there as well.
  3. We sent most of the invites through the post. My class mates and I made a list of all the businesses we wanted to invite and their addresses/phone numbers and e-mails. We were phoning people to ask if they are interested in coming in, if they got their invite already and if their address is correct. To some companies we couldn’t send a post, so we used e-mail to deliver the invite and all the information needed. At the end we also sent a post on college’s main face-book page that we are organising this type of event.
