3. Gummi Space
4. Inside the VF-22S Sturmvogel II
5.
6. Zero's Valkyrie fighter flew casually through Gummi Space in its Fighter mode. As part of his mission from the Assassin Order, he was scouting out worlds that could yield potential allies, or even simply worlds that were in need of help of some kind. The Reploid had also brought K1-R4 with him, the AI having been downloaded from Space Paranoids into his own consciousness which, due to similarities in their functions, was actually easier than it sounded.
7.
8. Speaking of the AI, one of the reasons he had allowed her along was for her vast knowledge on many of the worlds, and also to simply let her out of Space Paranoids for a time. He understood the need to not be kept in one place for too long.
9.
10. Suddenly, there was blip on radar, and out through the cockpit of the fighter Zero saw a world he didn't recognize looming ahead. It did seem similar to his own Earth, though, guessing from the shapes of the continents. But there were many versions of Earth, he had heard, so it could be anything. Deciding that Kira's wealth of information could be useful, he mentally addressed her, knowing she was probably seeing what he was as well.
11.
12. "Kira, can you identify that world?" He said aloud. The Reploid was still somewhat uncomfortable with speaking mentally, and spoke to Kira out loud when alone, like he would to a person through a communicator. It was simply what the Reploid was used to.
13.
14. There was silence, as if whoever was on the other end was trying to even consider what was going on. Maybe it was shock or something. A blue hologram of K1-R4 came up on the cockpit, next to his head.
15.
16. "You are kidding me." Her voice was deadpan. That wasn't really "shock", per se. Her arms crossed under her chest, her two mismatched eyes scanning the world. "Classic Megaman Universe, robotics continuity. Your world. Though judging from the things you went through, I would say it's after your games, meaning in the... ZX series. Twenty-sixth century. Yeah, your timeline caught up with the Sergeant year wise. It's...different here. Want to touch down, or leave it for later?"
17.
18. The only response Kira would get for the moment would be silence. His world? Could it really be? He didn't bother asking the AI to check again, he knew there was no reason for her to be wrong. But... it was still hard to believe. It wasn't that he had ever thought of coming back, no, X had said the other worlds had needed him, but for two hundred years to simply pass by after leaving for so short a time was unbelievable. Did anyone remember him? He knew that after two hundred years, Ciel would definitely have passed away, being a human, but there was still the entirety of the Resistance, consisting entirely of Reploids. Were any of them left? Had the humans who had taken refuge in Area Zero thrived?
19.
20. Zero found himself needing to know, and nodded in response. "...Yes, we'll head down." He put the Valkyrie fighter at an entry angle, and headed down to the world below.

24. Earth: 25XX
25. Hunter Camp
26.
27. Ashe stood in front of the large video screen, awaiting the orders for her next mission from Master Thomas, one of the two remaining Sage Trinity members still loyal to mankind. The third, Master Albert, had betrayed them all in a bid to "reset the world" using, as they had discovered, the fragmented pieces of Biometal W, which were the powerful remains of some sort of space station that had fallen to pieces and crashed on the Earth over two centuries ago. Asher and her Biometal, Model A, were one of the few left to fight against Albert, and there was no way she was letting him destroy her world.
28.
29. Master Thomas' face appeared on the screen, and he began to speak.
30.
31. "This is Thomas. Albert seems to be retrieving Model Ws from everywhere.
32. Actually, we've just gotten confirmation of Model W activity in the Quarry at
33. Hunter's Camp. Hunters have Mavericks pinned down, but they can't move in any
34. further because of the rough terrain. It's up to you to get into the Quarry,
35. then find and retrieve the Model W. Our reports tell us that there's a large
36. airship closing in on the Quarry. Albert may already be aware of what's going
37. on, so be careful."
38.
39. Ashe nodded, and immediately ran towards the area which held the Quarry. This time, she was sure they would get to and destroy the Model W before Albert got to it. They had to, or he would have all of them, and who knew what power it would grant him. What they did know was that it was nothing good, and he had to be stopped.
40.
41. By using some creative use of her Queenbee A-Trans data, Ashe managed to open up a porthole that would lead to a small sewer system, which in turn made a shortcut to the Quarry. She grimaced and wrinkled her nose at the smell.
42.
43. Oh yeah, this was going to be a fantastic mission.
44. ------------------------------------
45.
46. Zero had touched down not too far away, but in a concealed enough area so that the ship wouldn't be spotted landing or taking off, and had sent the Valkyrie back into orbit after exiting the cockpit. Donning his old cloak so that he wouldn't be recognized, if people still knew who he even was, and headed towards the nearest populated area, which appeared to be a base of sorts.
47.
48. Peaking his head around the corner of a building to make sure no one had spotted him, Zero looked around. Definitely a military institution of some sorts, considering everyone's uniforms and weapons. He may have to be careful.
49.
50. Suddenly, Zero spotted a girl running by. His attention was drawn to her, due to the her similarities to someone he had known a very long time ago. The shape of the helmet, the two pistol-like guns at her hips, and the shape of the armor all resembled Axl, the Maverick Hunter he had helped X mentor centuries ago. The similarities stopped when she turned into a giant bee-shaped Reploid. Zero knew the power to transform like that was incredibly rare, even among Reploids. She was someone special then, which meant that Kira may have information on her, like she did the world to begin with.
51.
52. "Kira, that girl, can you identify her?" He said, still physically speaking to the AI.
