- +Terran Downvale __ I'll need to continue this tomorrow (plus one this!) - though "briefly" (I'll need to look at your post tomorrow - this is just a quick "reaction"):
- Yes - the issue you point out about accepting "sufficient proof" is a PROBLEM because if we ACCEPT it from a source then we are also trusting the source.
- If you accept it then you HAVE trusted the source (if only that one time).
- (If our imagination is REQUIRED to fill in the blanks then it cannot be sufficient proof. That does not mean something didn't happen - *only that we have no business focusing on it!* We put our mind in danger when we do! Especially if we do not trust the source!)
- If something CANNOT be proved - we have no right repeating it to others as though it's true. But we can PERSONALLY believe it (if we trust the source).
- A point I don't think I've made very well is that: *There really is not much we can accept or trust that comes from the lie system! We are better to spend out time focused on ourselves and our own interests and on helping those around us!*
- (The lie system tries to take us AWAY from that "personal focus". It must find a way to do that if it wishes to gain and maintain control of our mind. Hence the "reality-based fantasies". But we don't have to give it any attention!)
- (Put it another way - let's suppose there is a news article about a crime. Were you directly involved? If not - what business is it of yours to invest belief in it?!?! If there is a "take-home message" from a crime - it is to better prepare ourselves so that we are never vulnerable to such a crime etc. Rather than getting tangled up in the "web of details" which accompany a story - which are really just suggestions that get planted into our head!)
- __
- It is from repetition of accepting "sufficient proof" from a "source" that trust in the "source" is established. If it's a liar - that's dangerous.
- To create and build trust in the population a lie system must give us some truth (though it will admit as little as possible - e.g., preferring to give us only that which can be figured out by oneself, self-evident truths etc.).
- However! As much as possible - *it will present true things to us via proof's appearances*.
- (So if you are given something that seems to be "sufficient proof" - upon scrutiny you may find it isn't.)
- (But conversely - to repeat - if something cannot be proven [no sufficient proof can be provided] then you have no business with it! Other than to say "X has been alleged by Y")
- __
- I do have something substantial to write on this! Your question is a good one.
- __
- On the other hand - if we are offered "sufficient proof" that does seems to "stack up" (can't be "faulted") then my answer would be similar to the "guideline" for accepting ("trusting") that offered footage isn't CGI.
- That is to say: if something has no indication of being tampered with or CGI and what we see does not require CGI to have happened then we should not think of it as CGI - *_EVEN IF IT IS CGI!!_*
- (I.e., it is better to be wrong occasionally than to risk being wrong 99 times just to avoid being wrong the once.)
- With regard to accepting "sufficient proof" - it is something similar to that.
- __
- I must sleep! I am way overdue for powering down and am at risk of writing things that I won't remember and will probably regret!
