  1. Why does this problem/issue concern you?
  2. - Our group has many concerns, for our society, its progress, and the people who live within it. Discrimination against followers of Islam, though it is a religion, can still be classified as racism. (Amjad, 2017) Racism, and the stereotyping of cultures as a whole, negatively impacts both sides without providing any constructive progress to furthering society as a whole. It hurts people, breeds fear in both sides, and that fear leads to fighting, which only hurts everyone further. We shouldn’t be focusing resources on petty tribalism. Believing in the Islamic faith does not inherently make a person corrupt. People want to blame other people for the problems in the world, perpetuating false stereotypes to alleviate the blame from upon themselves, and if we idly stand by as these people bully other humans for their beliefs and nationalities, who’s to say they won’t push their boundaries further? Racism against Muslims for the sake of racism hurts the victims, hurts the attackers, and hurts society as a whole.
