- "....and the list goes on like that", thinks the canine like man in black plastic looking armor not even clicking on the sub folders to list specific incidents and number of incidents under each folder.
- Beside him stands a large muscular man with hands bigger than his own head, a man known by the name Hurand, and with them a man in white plastic looking armor known by the name Vorace (Vo'ra'cae).
- The dog like chief of the Dimension Police sits behind his desk in his white sterile room, "Gentlemen, while it can be hard to determine how much time has passed for any given individual who travels through the multiverse and across dimensions, as far as our records go it has been some time since this individual has shown up. Her last incident was assisting the Celestial Sorceress Rhulan in stealing tech from the Suihrai and Ju-el empires, namely a very large battle mech that was subsequently used by the S-class criminal Rhulan to kill an eldritch kicking off a world altering series of events and turning up again on that same world later only to be destroyed completly. However your target Ryo-Yoshino was not involved in those later events, and by all accounts must have been paid off rather handsomly by the infamous sorceress as she has not resurfaced until now. I have gathered you three for this case due to your previous successes in handling Rhulan's cohorts on the planet Espara, as well as another reason; that being what Ryo-Yoshino has stolen."
- The chief taps a button on his desk making a screen appear on the wall showing a white mask in the shape of a woman's face, no nose, but large eyes and lips, "The mask of the Primal Shadow. After your team's last successful mission in subdueing the soul that follows it and imprisoning the pair of powerful Onryo that had emerged in its defense; and we had such high hopes for those two priestesses to join our ranks too; sad; at any rate; Ryo-Yoshino forced her way into the vault on Earth-WIXGR and made off with it. However the tracking spell our local agents put on it is still in effect, you are to follow it, retrieve that mask before another tragedy is required to prevent the Primal Shadow from emerging again, and apprehend Ryo-Yoshino, be very careful the records indicate she has resisted capture crystals before so you may have a fight on your hand to weaken her first."

- In the depths of a nearly starless stretch of space a small craft makes its approach to a dark planetoid, it doesn't rotate nor orbit anything, yet the sensors indicate this entire region of space is hot.
- "So," says Egono, "anyone remember why we had to take the slow ass approach instead of beaming down to this planet from home base? I kinda think time might be a factor once we show up."
- Vorace grimaces looking out the viewing port of the small craft into the burning darkness, "We're in the Far Dark Egono, and this whole region of it is the territory of something that isn't exactly friendly towards the Dimension Police. If it or any of its heralds sensed us we'd have an entire army of eldritch horrors descending on our location."
- "Wouldn't be the first time," says Egono.
- Hurand speaks up, "Egono my friend, you have never faced the forces of the Black Empress of the Void. She is a world eater my friend, super omega class, do not engage. Army of world eaters serve her, I am navigating anomolies in sub-space sensors just to avoid bumping into numerous something a whole fleet would be needed for to handle one of. If we wake them up, target on planet picks up on it, they flee."
- "Alright," says Egono, "so if we're having this much trouble just getting there, how exactly did this space pirate get there so easily, and for that matter who is this buyer?"
- "Xin the cat witch," says Vorace, "former member of the Society of Sorcery, aided Rhulan in the past, and known collector of dark forbidden artifacts; although you'd never know it looking at her. No doubt she's after the mask of the Primal Shadow to add to this collection, possibly even the...entity that keeps reincarnating into mortal bodies near it. Anything else beyond that doesn't matter, wether she just stashed it away, does magic through it, or even tries to summon the Primal Shadow its self; not that this wouldn't be the perfect place to hide such a resurrection. In the end, its stolen property."
- *Who are you to make such a claim*
- The entire craft just stops dead in space.
- "On your guards!" yells Vorace putting up his personal shields and drawing his blaster.
- *You are too late little creatures. Xin has taken the mask of the Primal Shadow beyond your reach. Ryo-Yoshino has moved beyond your reach as well. Proceed no further to my shell little creatures or else I will consume you.*
- Red lines break out all over the planetoid as massive tentacles emerge from the cracks lined with teeth and giant glowing eyes.
- Without a word Harund hits a button and the entire craft vanishes in a blue flash, the light briefly illuminating countless horrific forms that had surrounded the ship in the burning darkness.
- *moments before in a dark palace on the dark world in a room lit by illussionary light invisible beyond the windows of the room for whome any outside would only see darkness within.*
- In this forboding space upon this forboding world one such as Ryo-Yoshino clad in sparse black armor and slide sides skirt with her punk rock cat-girl apperance may somewhat fit in, the other person she is dealing with however stands out. Xin the Cat Witch, a petite woman wearing an orange Halloween witch's costumes complete with being orange and decorated with black silhouettes of cats and bats; her grey cat ears poking through holes in the brim of her wide witch hat and her cat tail sticking out just above the skirt. Xin holds in her hands the white mask of the Primal Shadow.
- "So what do you plan to do with that exactly?" asks Ryo-Yoshino surprising herself with her sudden concern.
- "Some of your memories coming back my old friend?" asks Xin with a giggly smile.
- "M, maybe," says Ryo-Yoshino, "only flashes of something big and made of tentacles connected to that thing. Even without the flashes I can still sense the power in it, a portal connecting to some place dark that wants to swallow me up."
- Xin moves the mask around in her small hands, "Well I know a place outside the jurisdiction of the Dimension Police, a planet used by the Ju-el to stash away mystical artifacts and hyper level technology that can pass for mystical artifacts. The Death Walker should be able to reincarnate there and evolve properly over generations to her ascension without worrying about the Dimension Police assassinating her bodies as babies."
- "What?" asks Ryo-Yoshino.
- "The Death Walker," says Xin, "is an ancient spiritual being, due to an uprising of pantheonic gods trying to claim a world created by a group of these ultimate beings her power and memory were stripped away and her soul thrown into the well of souls to reincarnate. This artifact connects to an even older and more powerful being; or at least a part of, a dream of the great dreamer of chaos; this aspect known to the Dimension Police and assorted forces as the Primal Shadow. It draws the Death Walker to it as they are lovers, they even had a child together. It amplifies the power of the reincarnating Death Walker, granting her necromantic magic and guiding her. Over enough reincarnations this power would build inside her till one life time she would ascend to her original state and join her kin back in the world of chaos."
- "Neat," says Ryo-Yoshino non-chalantly, "and what about the Dimension Police?"
- Xin gets a sad expression, "Their higher ups realized not only the danger this mask poses to mundane worlds by conjuring up such a volatile dream, but that of the soul drawn to it. The Death Walker is in their records as a world ender. A Celestial Being who judges worlds and brings death, even able to kill immortals including eldritch beings. They'd never been able to contain such a being for long; and have taken advantage of the situation to prevent her ascension."
- She sets the mask down and with a few gestures conjures up a red box around it with a cushion inside and puts a lid on the box, "They sent men to intercept the reincarnations and kill them before they could gain any power to add to the soul; killing her each time, as a baby."
- Ryo-Yoshino glares at the wall, a strange rage filling inside her.
- "Any who," says Xin as she creates a green portal and sends the box through, "Misaline gave me this."
- She manifests a scroll, "the location of the Singularity Sphere. Don't know what you'd want with that instead of the mask but a deal is a deal."
- Ryo-Yoshino takes the scroll, a blue energy coming over it, and flashing directions that imprint into her mind like a well worn memory.
- "I...have my reasons." says Ryo-Yoshino has her mind drifts across a vast list of mystical artifacts, demonic seals, and various oddities from across the multiverse and a warehouse in sub-space she has no idea how she knows the location of, why, or why she is driven to collect this vast list of strange objects; or even how she knows who and how to contact those who can help her find them. The fact is this one clearly knew who from before her amnesia and waking up on an asteroid in the strange pocket dimension containing an entire planetary system around a purple sun of pure magic.
- With that Xin opens a large portal to a garden before a mansion and both of them leave the dark planet.

- (part 2)
- "Well that was a bust," remarks Vorace as their shuttle re-enters normal space.
- Before anyone else can speak an alert sounds on their communicators, " S-class criminal Ryo-Yoshino has just appeared; attacking Champion Fortress on the planet Skylin; all available officers and champions please respond; she has already overwhelmed the external defenses, massacred the champions and adventurers; we have been forced to break the fantasy facade and utilize shields and anti space craft weaponry."
- Egono speaks into his communicator, "This is Egono of the Dimension Police responding, we are in pursuit of the S-class criminal, on our way."
- "Please hurry, her movements, so robotic, methodical."
- *screaming*
- "Secure that vault! Dear gods, she's after the world eater!"
- Hurand hits a few buttons and the craft vanishes, appearing in the sky above a battle damaged champions' citadel, the area around it burning and pox marked with craters while the sky is filled with lights, the S-class criminal Ryo-Yoshino is *zipping* about in the air as ground stationed "heroes" fire up at her with explosive fire rockets, chi bombs, electric bolts, and all manner of magical spells; while the Dimension Police have forgone any semblance of pretending to be fantastical beings and pulled out their actual fire-arms, not that the plasma and lasers fired from them are doing any better as Ryo-Yoshino either dodges them while laughing, smacks them away with her hand, grabs them and throws them back even stronger, and for some blasts actually grabs and absorbs the energy. The scene is too chaotic. A fact compounded as an army of strange steam punk robots comes flying from the nearby mountains.
- Hurand, Egono, and Vorace beam down to a tower with other Dimension Police officers, below the heroes and adventurers have stopped firing and are just pointing at the swarm of robots.
- "Why has everyone stopped firing?" asks Vorace training his weapon on Ryo-Yoshino.
- "The ancient sentinels," says one of the men there, his paladin armor in start contrast to the blaster in his hands, "they normally stay one to a shrine, guarding the resting places of ancient demons sealed away...they must be reacting to,"
- The sky is struck by a massive red arc of energy as Ryo-Yoshino swings a giant red broad sword like blade of energy she has conjured up in her hand, the arc of energy overtakes the swarm of sentinels, destroying them with all the ease of a fire consuming flies. She points her sword down and projects her voice, "Okay you dumb asses, it looks like you all thought that was going to do me in, what with you stopping your own attacks. Now, no one else has to die here; just hand over the Singularity Orb; you primitive bastards arn't even using it, locking it away in a vault, afraid of its cosmic power. I however don't fear it, and its power will be mine, either you hand it over or."
- She unsummons the energy blade but fires a massive red blast into the sky, "I can sift the indestructible orb from the rubble of your little fort."
- Three glowing people, two men and a woman clad in white robes appear behind the Dimension Police officers, "Guardians of the multi-verse, hear us, we are the Orm, the ancient ascended ones who built the sentinels; this world is a prison planet for beings far greater than those your own organization generally faces; for we are like you, only for even higher dimensions. The Singularity Orb must not be allowed to fall into the hands of this being; this world and many others would be in great danger; for the orb is not a power source, but a container of a great threat...AAHHHHH!"
- A small red bolt of energy fired from Ryo-Yoshino's index finger strikes the man causing his body to twist and shift about as light and smoke turning into a strange squid like creature fluttering about the air. The other two on their own twist and transform as well, the three of them fleeing through a portal.
- "Cryptic ascended beings," scoffs Vorace, "I've dealt with things like them; never like to get their own hands dirty, always think its be..."
- *KRAKKOOM!"
- Ryo-Yoshino has flown at super sonic speeds, ramming into the building.
- "Shit," shouts the paladin looking over the side, "that's the vault!"
- A second later Ryo-Yoshino is seen flying from the hole in the wall holding a bowling ball sized black orb flowing with darkness and deep red nether energy within.
- "We can't let her take the Singularity Orb!" shouts the paladin.
- "We arn't" says Egono summoning from a green sigil a strange black and red gun, that gives off a feeling of pure evil.
- A flash or red and black, it was as if time had slowed down, the three Orm reappearing behind the Dimension Police officers, having sensed the weapon firing, yet they could not intervene. As the bolt approached Ryo-Yoshino, she spun around with her free hand to swipe at it, only for it twist like a fish around her arm and striked the orb, a flash of black and red and a cloud of nether flames and darkness erupted from the orb taking the form of a woman made of darkness with red lines across parts of her body in a strange ornate fashion. She has no mouth or nose, her eyes are a deeper black than her body with a red and yellow halo liken to the event horrizon of a black hole swirling within around an even blacker iris. Her hair, waves of darkness trailing behind her.
- "The World Eater," whispers one of the Orm, "you have doomed this world mortal."
- In the air Ryo-Yoshino is overcome by confussion, her eyes drooping and turning her head, "I...I came here for...her? No, this is not who I was looking for...wait...I was...looking for someone? Who, who am I looking for? Treasure, no, think, must...think,"
- She looks down, her body blinking, becoming see through.
- "Ryo-Yoshino is trying to escape!" shouts Vorace.
- Egono twists a nob, the gun whirring, and the three Orm let out a strange sound like a whispered scream and quickly fly back away from them and vanish in a burst of light. Egono fires the gun again. The woman like entity that had emerged from the orb aims her palm down releasing a blue beam of light, the now dark red with a golden spark around it bolt spins around the beam and strikes the woman square in the chest. Golden cracks form over her body as she plummets to the ground. Ryo-Yoshino shakes her head, turning opaque once again and dives down. The giant woman of darkness stops herself from falling just short of the broken stone pathway to the citadel, a number of costumed adventurers and heroes looking on as the Dimension Police teleport down to the walkway. The golden cracks spread over the woman of darkness, her entire body glowing gold and her forms *SHATTERS*, from within a petite woman appears; resembling more a character from an anime than a normal human being. She is naked, her hair long and blond with little red tips.
- Egono looks about to speak when the woman lets out a very loud and horrific scream of utter pain, grabs her shoulders and collapses to the ground, her ear piercing wails of utter torment causes most of the adventurers to step back, some even glaring at the three men they had never seen before but know were the source of the blast. Ryo-Yoshino throws herself to her knees and grabs the woman, cradling her in her arms. A red glow coming over the space pirate as she strokes the petite woman's hair, her crying dies down, her eyes tightly shut, sealed by tears, she is breathing heavy, wincing with every breath as she lies against Ryo-Yoshino's chest and lap.
- Ryo-Yoshino glares at them and speaks in a voice not her own, her eyes glowing red, "You are monsters. Did you not think before using an anti-ascension weapon against a natural cosmic being? One who has never been flesh before? Even those cosmic beings who take on material forms do so through designed avatars, incarnations that grow as a mortal does with all their nuerology and physical reflexes to adapt to every facet of being alive from the moment of birth? Every sensation she feels now is new, the pain of life, the pain of lungs expanding, bones stretching, neurons firing, organs pulsating, blood veins expanding and contracting. She was never an organic being, and now forced into such she feels everything, everything a threat, everything pain, water coming her mouth, the sensations of touch, the rough ground, the chill of the air, all are horrible things she'd never have to feel."
- They watch as the red energy around the space pirate berating them is flowing into the woman across her lap, into her mouth, her lips pursing as if suckling from the energy.
- Egono aims the gun again.
- "Vermin!" shouts Ryo-Yoshino, floating while holding the naked woman, large red blades of energy erupt from her back, ten blades of dark red energy around a circular sigil of an hour glass. A white mask forms over her face, a mask that makes Vorace's eyes go wide in terror, a mask he recognizes.
- The sky rumbles and turns red.
- "Sparkle time!" comes a high pitched woman's voice from all direction, a shower of golden and yellow stars (as in star shapes) blast down from a golden ring that has appeared a few hundred feet up between Ryo-Yoshino and the people of the citadel. From the ring descends two figures, the petite Halloween themed witch costume wearing grey cat girl, and a woman clad in green robes with flower themes."
- "Xin the Cat Witch, and Misaline the sorceress," says Hurand looking at a palm device, "both wanted criminals."
- "Serenity Shower!" shouts Misaline sending up a fragrant looking blast of green swirling mist at Ryo-Yoshino and the girl. The wings and mask vanish like broken dust in a wind as Ryo-Yoshino falls asleep, floating slowly to the ground on her back, the petite woman she is still holding also asleep and lying on her, a smile on her face.
- "Halt!" shouts Hurand, "you are both..."
- He guards his face as a swarm of stars overtake them, when they are gone so too are the four women.
- High in the air the three Orm are among the clouds, one speaks to the others, "Did you sense that?"
- "Indeed," says another, "The World Eater is in the hands of beings even beyond the creators."
- ******
- -several years later-
- In the tranquil garden of Misaline the aformentioned sorceress sits at a table upon a green hill enjoying scones and tea with Xin. Nearby Ryo-Yoshino is lying on the grass upon her back, her cat like tail's tip twitching back and forth as she relaxes watching the sky of this world. Sitting nearby is the petite woman, wearing a black gothic dress, reading a book. In the years that have passed thanks to Ryo-Yoshino's power feeding her and the magic from both Xin and Misaline, the woman's body has changed, she no longer has a mortal body, instead her form has become a proper avatar for a world eater, not needing to drink or eat, expelling nothing back into the environment save for energy, able to consume via mouth or energy beams any matter or energy; potentially capable of devouring an entire world over time; yet feeling no need to do so. In these years she has chosen a name for herself, the name that struck fear in the heroes and champions she watched from within her prison orb; Singularity.
