2/27/2019 Blood Blade - First Utilization

[02:07] Aspen Invidia whispers: Are you alright, big brother?
[02:07] Artaghh says, "Well, there's tha'."
[02:09] Zendrick collapsed in front of Aspen, dropping to a knee. His entire right hand was charred to a near crisp, with similar burn lines running across his entire body.

"I'm fine, Aspen."
(Zendrick Boreale)
[02:10] Zendrick Boreale says, "I'd appreciate if you didn't go out spreading rumors, you."
[02:13] Mithril armors away for now, it was early in the morning. Aspen wandered around Dawn for whatever reasons she'd been there for. Comfort? A drink? Albeit the bar was vacant. For now it was just casual conversations.

Immediately with Zendrick's arrival did she note the charred hand of his. Aspen kneeled down with him, inspecting his body, clothing, and expressions.

"You're not fine, you need to tell me what happened, Zendrick! Right now."

The woman leaned in towards him to whisper then.

[02:13] Aspen Invidia whispers: Would you like to talk somewhere privately?
[02:13] Aspen Invidia whispers: I can work on fixing you up with my magic and your own.
[02:13] Zendrick Boreale whispers: It will heal with time.
[02:14] Aspen Invidia whispers: Still.. I'm worried about you. That man just came in here to tell us you were near the volcano. You need to tell me what happened. I'm here for you!
[02:14] Zendrick Boreale whispers: I needed to throw something away.
[02:15] Aspen Invidia whispers: What was it?
[02:15] Zendrick Boreale whispers: It was... nothing important.
[02:16] Aspen nods her head and hugs Zendrick tightly.

[02:16] Aspen Invidia whispers: I'm always here when you need someone to talk to. I'm just as worried for you as you are for me.
[02:17] Zendrick Boreale whispers: They killed our parents, Aspen.
[02:17] Zendrick Boreale whispers: The Dawn.
[02:17] Aspen Invidia whispers: W-What..?
[02:18] Zendrick Boreale whispers: She said it herself. The night the village burned, it was her own doing.
[02:18] Artaghh says, "Starin' at his hat Astaria? I agree, it's a good hat."
[02:18] Aspen Invidia whispers: Where.. where did you.. hear this..? I.. that can't be.. I was born here.. in Dawn..
[02:18] Zendrick Boreale whispers: You were taken.
[02:19] Zendrick Boreale whispers: Cho said it herself. She burned nearly every village when she took these lands.
[02:19] Aspen has absolutely no words to express how she is feeling right now.

[02:19] Zendrick Boreale whispers: Follow.
[02:20] Zendrick Boreale says, "I am leaving. "
[02:20] Aspen Invidia asks, "You're.. leaving Dawn..?"
[02:20] Aspen Invidia asks, "You're leaving me behind too..?"
[02:20] Zendrick Boreale says, "I understand the words Seven spoke to me. "
[02:21] Zendrick Boreale says, "If I am to get that power, I must understand suffering and pain. "
[02:21] Aspen Invidia asks, "What did that vampire tell you..?"
[02:21] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "You.. you can't be serious, Zendrick!"
[02:22] Zendrick Boreale says, "Where I go, you cannot follow. "
[02:22] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "Tell me everything!"
[02:22] Aspen Invidia says, "No, you aren't leaving me, Zendrick! Not without.. not without telling. Me. Everything."
[02:23] Zendrick Boreale says, "I understand now, Aspen. "
[02:23] Zendrick Boreale says, "Why this has happened to me. To us. "
[02:23] Zendrick Boreale says, "This world is broken. "

[02:28] The Yano.. or former Boreale woman's hands gripped tightly on her brother's shoulders.

You were taken.

Cho said it herself. She burned nearly every village when she took these lands.

I'm leaving.

Every phrase struck down on her light a bolt of lightning, forcing heart beats to skip and an horrifically immense sensation of anxiety in her stomach. Tears aimed to force their way out. They were successful.

"You can't be fucking serious! How do you know this?! WHO TOLD YOU, ZENDRICK?! I didn't get to know our mother or father! How are you sure that we're birth siblings?! Explain this! You aren't leaving without telling me EVERYTHING!"

The woman's aura flared. Blood broke from all over her body to swirl around her form. It bubbled aggressively followed by a drop in temperature. The woman's patience was wearing thinner than melting ice and disposition just as cold as the terrain of the northern mountains where Malentine resided.

"TELL. ME. NOW!"

[02:29] Zendrick Boreale says, "Look at us. Two blood mages who both came from the Dawn, yet we were separated. "
[02:29] Zendrick Boreale says, "One who is younger, and doesn't remember the place she grew up in."
[02:29] Zendrick Boreale asks, "You say "Dawn", yet can you even remember your parents?"
[02:30] Aspen Invidia says, "Not at all.."
[02:30] Zendrick Boreale says, "Of course you don't. I bet they took mercy on you."
[02:30] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "How long have you known these things?! That you had a sister, or anything else?!"
[02:30] Zendrick Boreale says, "For a while, I thought it was made-up. Something I used as a defense mechanism."
[02:30] Aspen Invidia says, "I grew up here! I was lost one day and taken.. taken to Cruxati.."
[02:30] Zendrick Boreale says, "I convinced myself that I didn't have parents, or a family. "
[02:30] Zendrick Boreale says, "But now, I can remember clearly. I remember a sister, and I remember our village burning. "
[02:30] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "You have me then, Zendrick! Were you around when I was born?!"
[02:31] Zendrick Boreale says, "I do have you. But I can't protect you. Not as I am. "
[02:31] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "I didn't get to know them if what you're saying is true and.. if it really is.. then I can't let you leave me by myself here!"
[02:32] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "I.. I don't care how hurt you are.. I'll fight you.. I can't lose the only real birth family that I have!"
[02:32] Zendrick Boreale says, "You cannot leave your mistress, Aspen. "
[02:32] Zendrick Boreale says, "You'll die if you follow me. "
[02:32] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "No, I can't leave her, but I don't intend to let you leave me, your little sister!"
[02:33] Zendrick Boreale says, "I will not fight you. You know you can't win. "
[02:33] Aspen Invidia exclaims, "I don't care, I'll fight with my heart and soul!"
[02:36] "How foolish you are, Aspen."

Zendrick's blood flared from his body. Even in his weakened state, he could produced such an amazing aura of his own blood. His prosthetic left was placed on his right hand, and a tendril of blood was sharpened by his own unrefined Mana. His right hand burst open with a wound; one not caused by his own sorcery.

"You will not stop me. I cannot be stopped until I have my power."

The crimson blade arced with raw energy. He would fight Aspen to gain the freedom he needed, and to pursue the power he so desired.

[02:42] "You'll be stopped! Damn it, I'll fight to keep you safe! You're my brother and I'm not going to fucking lose you!"

Mimicked actions against Zendrick's own, her inner weapon was sharpened. Aspen's blood was her blade, extending from the Yano's very right hand outward. It was akin to a sword laced with razor sharp winds.

Water reaped from the air's vapors accumulated around her left palm, freezing from within in the shape of a talon. Similar to a drakanite's claws, she aimed to harm. To down him. To keep him here. Sheer willpower out of love.

Before her very eyes, Aspen envisioned the realm's threshold to bring forth a trio of spirits into Eternia.

'Down my brother, pin him, whatever. Attack, he's not to leave!'

The Invidian thrall commanded, taking the first step of actions towards the other blood mage, Zendrick, her own flesh and blood, with the intention of keeping him in Dawn.

[02:58] The battle raged, the blood between these two was incredibly strong, like an invisible bond between Aspen and Zendrick. Spirits rose and water danced, while Zendrick's blade of blood and energy sliced at the Invidia. But the strongest magics weaved in this battle was Blood. Choking clouds of vaporized gore filled the air with their hate; wounds opened without a physical connection, and blood boiled.

But in the end, Aspen fell. A final blow from an energized sword slash send her to the knees. When he saw this opening, Zendrick dashed towards her, blade in hand. She would probably expect a sword in her stomach, or through her body.

Instead, two fingers lightly tapped her forehead. Those fingers turned into an entire hand as Zendrick grasped his sister's forehead, imbuing his own blood magics into her body. The carotid artery, located in both sides of her neck, was briefly halted. No blood would flow into her brain for at least five seconds, causing short-term memory loss and almost immediate unconsciousness.

With the short time he had left with his sister, he spoke.

"If you wish to follow me, then hate me. Become the monster that you so want to become, and free yourself from your shackles."

He'd finish with,

"This world is cruel, sister. You must embrace it to truly gain your happiness."

When Aspen had fallen unconscious, he'd flee. His jacket discarded, and covered in blood left at the scene. The only thing she'd remember from this confrontation was the battle, with hazy bits from the argument from before. All she would have left of him was his jacket.

[03:10] Blood, spiritual energies, raw power of mana, and the magics of ice exchanged between the two mages with their prowess of blood being the most inflicting causes of damage.

'Perfection.. perfection.. to be an Invidia means it,' she thought to herself throughout the midst of battle. Aspen's brother was successful in destroying the spirits that accompanied Aspen in battle.

A technique that she'd seem her former best friend of Huangzhou use.. the technique of the kensei, something akin to spiritual energy increasing the intensity of her weapon. More blood was removed from the Invidian thrall's body, enlarging the blade of blood that crystallized. Frozen. Gray energies swirled around its mass with razor sharp winds to which she charged..

That was her fatal mistake..

Within blood rage came a sudden blindness, forcing her back to the ground from Zendrick's ability of water. Unseen, unfortunately, allowing the man to make his move in ceasing the flow of blood to her brain through her arties, falling Aspen unconscious.

Every word was heard, but there hadn't been a response. The woman couldn't overpower his control of her blood. She'd suspended too much from herself.

And she fell..

The woman was now unconscious and bloodied, allowing Zendrick's desired freedom. All that was left nearby had been his blood stained jacket.
